Ad for “The Life Education Center”

by ‘this guy’

A two page ad...

Across the top of both pages the words

"THE LIFE EDUCATION CENTER IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FALL TERM"

appear in a curvilinear black font. On the next line, more words

"FREE FOR ALL WHO ARE ACCEPTED"

below them, in a smaller font "apply at the Life Education Center website" in an even smaller font more words appear "
a Tween company, a subsidiary of ManliCorp.”

A series of pictures of teenage girls participating in various activities cover the remainder of the two pages.

In the top left photo eight girls wearing bikinis are playing volley ball. Their darkly tanned skin shimmering in the sun with sweat is visible evidence of the effort they are putting into their game. The turquoise blue water behind them, definitively says they are playing on a beach. Below the photo the words

"PHYSICAL ACTIVITY IS GOOD FOR THE TWEENAGE BODY"

The photo at the top on the right side of the left page shows a girl sitting at a table reading a book. Using a magnifying glass it is possible to make out the title of the book, "Thin is a Choice" The bookshelves behind her make it obvious that she is in a library. Below the photo the words

"KNOWLEDGE IS POWER"

On the top left side of the right page. A photo of an art class: a dozen girls wearing smocks are sitting behind a dozen painting easels. From their facial expressions it is clear they are focusing on their paintings... Below the photo the words

"ART IS FOOD FOR THE SOUL"

The top right photo shows two girls putting clothes on a mannequin. Below the photo the words

"STYLE BUILDS CONFIDENCE"

On the bottom corner of the left page two girls in panties and training bras are kneeling on a bed having a pillow fight. Below the photo the words

"PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS CAN BE HARD WORK"

Crossing the fold in the middle of the two pages is a single large rectangle the words

"ALL GIRLS PARTICIPATE IN THE CHOICES LABORATORY"

appear. Surrounding those words are a series of fourteen tiny pictures, all of them the same size: about one-and-a-quarter inches square. In one photo a girl with blonde hair who looks to be about nine has four lit cigarettes clamped firmly between her lips. The next photo shows a ten year old black girl holding an open bottle of Spudski vodka upside-down to show that the bottle is empty. In another photo two girls are kissing each other on the lips. Another photo shows an eleven year old red headed girl sleeping in the sun; her skin is bright red with sun burn. To its right is a photo of an extremely slim girl who doesn't look a day over eight pushing away a plate of food. The next photo shows a twelve year old girl bent over a toilet vomiting. The photo to the left of the words shows an overweight ten year old girl riding a bicycle that has no seat. The photo to the right of the words shows two girls tightening a corset that is wrapped around the abdomen of a third girl who looks to be nine. Another photo shows a girl with her skin and hair dyed bright green; the green dye makes her age hard to discern. The next photo shows a brunette who looks to be about thirteen who has ample breasts wearing an over-sized t-shirt upside-down: the hem is tied in a knot above her breasts, her thighs coming out of the sleeves. The photo to its right shows the face of a blonde haired girl with twenty piercings: five in each ear, two in each eyebrow, four in her nose, and four at her lips. Another photo shows a girl running in extremely high (seven or eight inch) stiletto heels on a trail in a wooded area. The next photo shows a slender girl in bright blue leggings crapping in her pants: the area around her butt crack is bulging outwards and tinted a browning color. The final small photo shows a girl who looks to be about nine chugging a four liter bottle of "diet Jolt" (supper caffeinated) soda.

In the bottom corner of the right page there is a photo of a girl studying the food pyramid. Looking closely at the photo we can read its components. The top "use sparingly" portion calls out fat and salt as expected. Below that are meats and dairy, again as expected. Below them are fruit and vegetables. The bottom row, however shows something a bit unexpected: low and zero calorie fat free foods. Below the photo the words

"WE ARE WHAT WE EAT: NUTRITION MATTERS"

At the very bottom of the two pages, in very small letters more words appear

"the life education center is a free rape campus"
