The Fish Tank website is an archive of discussions that took place in the alt.sex.stories.d Usenet newsgroup. If you are interested in participating in The Fish Tank, meet us all in ASSD.

The Fish Tank is a service to authors of erotic fiction who wish to get constructive feedback on their writing. The point is to get specific feedback on what works and what doesn't work in a story, with hopes that the author will improve his or her writing.

We ask authors to respond to two stories by other authors before they submit their own story for review. We ask reviewers to provide two positive comments and two suggestions for improvement for each story.

We believe this process has a two-fold benefit to authors. First, they get an unbiased set of eyes looking over their writing. And second, they develop the skill of looking at other people's work critically, which they can then turn onto their own work.
