I'm thinking about doing a new series, something very short form and fairly satirical toward erotica. Really, something just really (REALLY) inappropriate and non-PC. Otherwise, I'm nearly finished with Catch Up - new chapter posted.

Well, that was awkward. I think I fell asleep. For 4 years. Or I passed out. Because I was drunk. Well, I got insomnia again, so a new chapter of Catch Up is here. Enjoy.

I uploaded a couple sections for Reset. Nothing new to report other than that. Also, Reset is looooong. Lots of stuff just got done in my personal life, so I'm hoping this upload is the start of something consistent for you readers. People still read my stuff, right? Ha, my self pity got you to comment! Now get back to waiting...

Man, what a dickass I've been. Some of you took time out of your life to write me up fantastic reader recommendations and I still did not have the courtesy to upload, well, anything in response to it. I said 'Yurp, hope to have something in a month.' And how long's it been? Almost two months? All I can say is, well, fuck, I'm sorry. And drunk. But also sorry.

Well, if this update does anything, it serves to reassure you that I am, in fact, still working on shit and I'm not asking for anything in return this time. Thanks to your recommendations, my traffic bumped up considerably and I received quite a few unexpected comments. The comments actually inspired me to think more about both stories simultaneously, which is uncommon for me as I like to write in a fairly stoic fashion. I see this as a good thing cause when I actually do get on it, roughly double the work is being finished. I'm still flattered by everyone's support, so now I feel like I'm required to finish these "fuckin' stories."

I don't have a lot to add to this post. The same shit applies as before: I'm a busy guy and busy guys tend to prioritize. Now, where was I? Oh right, chapter...?!

A new chapter for Catch Up is...well, up. I wanted to upload my future stories in full, but it ain't gonna happen, unfortunately. Luckily, Catch Up isn't nearly as ambitious as Reset, so it's a good go-to story when I need something new up online. I've actually been thinking about Catch Up for a while and I think it'll be a good contrast to the grittier feel Reset has. I like them both, so here's hoping ya'll like 'em both too, ya know darlin'? Whoa, went into mountain dialect there for a second...weird.

Been busy. Still working on Reset. Hope to have something uploaded within the month. While you're waiting, how about giving me a reader recommendation for Taste The Rainbow? If you do, I'll say "thank you" out loud in front of my computer. Promise.

A chapter of a new story is up. It's called "Catch Up". Enjoyz it.

December 28, 2009

I haven't forgotten about this place...how could I? Sometimes the best things written are when the author truly does not worry about the outcome. This holds true for any art. We don't make money here (though ASSTR is a FREE service...be sure to donate) and many of us write anonymously, so why worry? Well, pride is a bitch sometimes. So is ego. Don't get me started on the worst bitch of all, the infamous super ego.

I'm still working on Reset. I'm really, really having fun with it. Still trying to balance everything...sex is difficult to write when dealing with elements of sci-fi, noir and high school. I may take a break and write something much shorter to flush my mind a bit. Any takers?

October 15, 2009

Here it is, a very brief sample of my next story is uploaded. As expected, this one is much more ambitious than my last story and as such, it will take a very long time before it's finished. I have a lot going on right now and I never intended to post anything until it was further along. But, I'm drunk, tired, and want to write, so here you go (don't worry, what's posted was written when I was sober). I really mean it when I say it will be a while before more comes from me. Lots is going on right now and my secret stories must be attended last I'm afraid. Of course, comments and high SOL.net ratings always help bump me along faster than usual. You're always welcome ;)

September 20, 2009

I uploaded Taste the Rainbow onto StoriesOnline.net. Some of you suggested I do so in order to reach that audience. If any of you have an account there (or wish to create one...they're free), it has a ratings system for the stories. If you particularly liked my story, rating it on SOL.net is another way you can support it, as higher ratings = more exposure.

Though SOL.net is a great site, I do like the freedom ASSTR.org affords me. Like I said, I'm a revisionist whore and it's more difficult to revise on SOL than ASSTR. I have also received the most personal feedback on ASSTR as well, so my plan is to simply use both sites.

As for the feedback specifically, I appreciate all the kind comments and enthusiastic responses I've received so far. Some responses I did not expect, some even stating how profoundly the story has impacted them. When I decided to take the time and submit this little story, I had no idea how many people would actual take the time to read it...like, really read it...much less the story affecting people in personal ways, ESPECIALLY when you consider the subject matter. When I started it, it was more of an extreme exercise to teach myself how to write erotica that happened to become something with a much deeper meaning. The greatest compliment a writer can receive is hearing readers describe the meaning, compliment how the meaning was expressed, and, most of all, reflect on how it impacted them with regards to their own lives. As a writer, hearing that the meaning was felt, not only the joy and pleasures the characters experienced, but the challenges and pain they endured, is a fantastic feeling. I thank you for all the words you have given me and, perhaps someday, I'll give some more of my own back.

I will continue replying to your emails as timely as I can and, as always, feel free to comment on the story if you haven't already. If you'd like to show more support, please visit my page on StoriesOnline.net and vote so others may know that this is more than just another sex story (though there is good sex...that was really hard to write and keep interesting!). Thank you and keep reading.

Taste the Rainbow is fully completed and now online. This was an interesting side project for me and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. In the future I may write another story. This one took longer than I really have time for right now. I hope everyone enjoys it and your comments are appreciated. Happy reading!

p.s. Someone drew to my attention that the fixed table margins were causing problems for some people and he/she was totally right. Thanks for informing me; it should be fixed now.

September 16, 2009

Taste the Rainbow - Chapter 4 is online. I finally finished Chapter 7 and the entire story is done now. Besides the last chapter, all the rest is revised minus a quick pass, so the remaining chapters will be up in the next two days. I realize it won't be everyone's Cup-O-T, but even if you do not like certain elements of the story, you may want to skim over those parts and read through the ending if you did enjoy what you've read so far. As always, I thank you for your comments and hope you like the rest of the story.

September 8, 2009

Taste the Rainbow - Chapter 3 is up, both web and ftp. I added a links page with ASSTR.org listed, too. I would like to thank ASSTR for offering their hosting services and for just being awesome. I also would like to thank the Ready One for the form mail example; I pretty much copied it and modified it slightly for my site. Good news is that it works! I've received all your comments and I'll try to reply to those that leave an address when I get a chance. I appreciate the feedback you've given me and I'll try my hardest not to disappoint with the remaining chapters. Honestly, I never expected such positive responses from my first try writing erotica and I'm also happy everyone is responding to the story the way I intended. I don't know if there's a place to discuss stories from ASSTR, but once the entire story is up, I'd like to hear reactions/reviews for those of you willing to supply your input.

I spent a lot of time revising and nearly finishing the entire story. Taste the Rainbow will be 7 chapters long, which is a better length than what I originally predicted. At this length, it feels right and it was a rare case of me getting to the end and feeling like "Yup, it's done," which doesn't happen often. I'm a revising whore, so I apologize for not simply putting everything up at once. I tend to change a lot on second drafts and the changes are always for the better. I'd rather not waste anybody's time by posting multiple versions of the same story for everyone to re-read with each iteration, so when you see something, that's pretty much the final version. I hope you enjoy Chapter 3.

September 5, 2009

Well, that didn't take long. I already got chapter 2 of Taste the Rainbow online. Also, I decided to post text files of the story for ftp, though I do not prefer to use this method. It will, however, be one file with all the chapters contained within when all is said and done. I also added comment forms for the stories. Feel free to let me know what you think.

September 4, 2009

Hello everyone. I'm just getting set up. If you want you can go ahead and read the first chapter of my story. I have the entire short story almost written, but many chapters need revisions and I have to format them for HTML still. The whole thing will be about 9 or 10 chapters. I'll post something more substantial once I have time.
