The idea of The Write Club grew out of discussions on ASSD in early August 2000 concerning Shon Richards’s proposals for the " Iron Writer " contests. Malinov suggested a quick-fire variation for writers with the write stuff, subsequently named “The Write Club” by Shon. The ante is the duellists’ pride in their reps as hacks. Their rewards are death or glory, fame or infamy, a rep as the fastest pen in the West. |
