Allison and the Primdales is Finished!

April 10, 2009

Finally! After nearly two years in the making, I've completed probably the longest work of erotica that I'll ever write. Yep, Allison and the Primdales is finally finished.

It's been a long ride, and I have to say, I would never have finished it without the comments from my readers. It helped to give me the motivation to push through the writer's blocks, of which there were many. To be honest, if I had known how long this story would end up, I would never have begun it. I would have taken all those sexual fantasies that I wrapped up in this one book and turned them all into short stories.

I learned a thing or two along the way, for instance how to write sex scenes without having them go stale, how to keep the reader interested even in the chapters where there was no sex, and how to pace myself so that I ended up writing a little every day instead of writing large chunks punctuated by long periods of rest in between. To use a well-known fable as an analogy, when I first started I wrote as a hare, but by the end I had managed to turn myself into a tortoise, and as the moral goes, slow and steady has won the race.

I went back and made a few changes here and there in the story for the sake of internal consistency, along with some spelling and grammar errors that I missed the first time, plus I finally got rid of that annoying "1 of Unknown" junk in the "Part" heading. If you've downloaded the chapters so far, you'll want to download the whole thing again.

Now that I've posted all of the chapters, there's no more reason to put up Musings pages for the story. Since I wrote them all out ahead of time, and there's some information in them that you might find interesting, I collected what I already had written, added the ones for the unposted chapters, and put them together on one page here. Also, just for fun, I gathered up my notes on the timeline of the story from beginning to end and uploaded it here, in case you're interested.

It's really just a coincidence that this is when I finished it.

Although I'm finished with this project, if you find any mistakes, you can still go ahead and point them out. But if you just want to sit back and read without worrying about all that, then have fun!

By the way, I also used this as an excuse to rearrange the site again. Hopefully there won't be any more major changes. This time I moved all of the stories into a Stories subfolder to make it easier to distinguish them from the rest of the site. The Stories folder is further divided into HTML, Text, and PDF subfolders to keep it all nice and tidy. You shouldn't notice any difference if you're just browsing the web site; it's only different if you're looking at the directory structure or using an FTP client. The text of the stories themselves are unchanged.
