FYI, the site is designed with handheld devices in mind (on the theory that most people are reading erotica on handhelds these days). The bar I implement is a standard implementation on lots of mobile-ready web pages. Moose, do you have trouble with other web sites, too? A couple suggested solutions: First, you can read all my stories in text format at /files/Authors/Chris_Hailey/. Second, you might want to try a different browser. Third, you might want to make sure you have javascript enabled, or if you do, try disabling it. Fourth, if you're using a hand-held device, most browsers have some sort of option like "request desktop site." It might work better if you are viewing the desktop version rather than the hand-held version. Good luck, and let me know how it goes. I was out of the country and when I logged in it was closed, and the bulletin board was closed, and that's all the info I've ever got. Someone on a chat board on Kirsten's Collection pondered if it was related to a teacher in the Philippines who was fired after using his work email to post comments on Loliwood, but that doesn't seem too likely. My personal opinion is that Arin (the web master) just got overwhelmed as the site increased in popularity and bozos like me kept posting lots and lots of stories. | So does my stuff look good on your iPhone 4? I generally use my iPhone 5, and it looks OK, but I have found that different browsers behave very differently on the iPhone. Lately I've been using the Atomic browser (the free version). I like it a lot (although it has a tendency to crash a lot). I have struggled with getting my site to look good on mobile devices. I'm not sure if I've succeeded at all. All I've done is just home-spin HTML, nothing fancy at all. The only advice I would give would be to use tables to size the text columns, which seems to work best. If you like how my stuff looks, feel free to view the source and copy at will. | Hello Trish, thanks for the comment. Do you have stories here on ASSTR? I couldn't find anything under the name you entered. If you do, please send me a link, I'd love to read your stuff. As to your specific question, it depends in part on what you are concerned about. If you are concerned about your ASSTR account getting hacked, I don't think there's much you can do about it. Basically all that protects your ASSTR account from hackers is your password (apart from whatever safeguards the ASSTR admins have in place, which I know nothing about). So the best thing you can do to protect your ASSTR account is to make sure your password is sufficiently complex, and change it regularly. The most important thing you can do to protect your ASSTR account is to back up your files. This is important not just because of hackers, but also just because of accidental corruption and server crashes at ASSTR. If you're worried about someone at home finding your backup, then zip it up using a password, give the zip file an innocuous name, and put it on an SD card or something like that! If your question is about your local computer (rather than your ASSTR account) being hacked, definitely set up a firewall and run your usual virus protection stuff. That's the best I can offer you as far as advice. Sorry, that's the best I can offer. --Chris |

| It really depends entirely on which story you are talking about. Very often, yes. Some of my stories are true (more or less). Sometimes br
little incidents in my life strike as a good start for an erotic story, and so, while they are not true, they are based in part on real people and events. And sometimes they are pure fantasy with no basis at all in real events or people. --Chris |

| There's something wrong with the current caching mechanism on the server. I found that giving the web page several refreshes forces the cache to serve the correct file at some point. However, what excites us about any "adult/child" stories are ones that are true stories of an adult male or couple success/td fully seducin/tdg a shy, but quite willing young girl ( 7 to 12 ) into awesome, delicious sex with him, her or them! Could you add another "code" such as 'true' or something else that the writer could use to confess to the reader that the story is based upon an actual experience, in spite of the required disclaimer? Absolutely nothing excites us more than reenacting and bringing to life a store a story of such delicious sex that WE KNOW actually happened ... unless that might be living out an actual encounter together or watching the other introducing a young girl to awesome, wonderful joys of forbidden sex.
