 TRUE STORY NOTES true crime

   These stories are based on real crimes that actually happened.  They are
widely separated in time and distance.  The basic facts are true and as
accurate as memories and reporting allow.  Some are cases that were local
and that we watched develop while others come from distant sources.  In a
few cases one or both of us had personal knowledge or reliable second hand
reporting of what happened.  Clearly we have added details that could only
be known by the primary parties involved but we believe that such details
are a reasonable reconstruction of the events.  These stories are thus not
factual reports but are instead historical fiction based on real events,
docudramas if you will.  Still we tried to convey an accurate sense of what
happened and we included as much factual information as we could.  In most
if not all cases somebody died horribly and families suffered the
unspeakable pain of losing a loved one in the worst manner possible.  This
is an ongoing project and we expect to add to the collection of cases
whenever we can.  Enjoy but remember these stories represent real
happenings, the blood was real, actual people suffered and died, and the
pain of their loss is still felt by loved ones.
