There once was a little duck named Harold. Harold was a happy little duck but he was lonely because he had nobody to play with.

One day Harold was playing down by the water when he saw a frog.

"Wrrribit,' said the frog, "how are you today Harold?"

"Fine thank-you Mr. frog but I'm a little bored."said Harold.

"Well," Mr. frog replied in his croaky voice,"why don't you find somebody to play with you?"

With that passing remark Mr. frog jumped into the water with a plop and swam away.

"Why don't I find friend for myself?" Harold asked himself, "well that's just what I'll do!”

With that problem solved he waddled away determined to do just that.

Harold soon came upon a little worm. This worm must have been a very smart worm because he was reading a book.

"Hello there my name is Harold," he said, "what is yours?"

"My name's Huckleberry I was named after my mommy and daddy's favourite character. We are book worms and reading books is our favourite thing to do."

"I don't know what I like to do," Harold said sadly, "but I don't have anybody to play with and find out."

"I could read to you I always like it when people read to me."

At last Harold found somebody to have some fun with and sat down to listen to Huck's story.
