Innocence
Observe the innocence of a child.
See their rosy cheeks and cheerful eyes.
Hear their untroubled laughter, unfraught
By our cares and our fears in this world.
Children are the angels of mercy
Sent to remind us that life is not
Merely our toil, and our pain, but more.
More lies behind this world's mask. Far more.
When I hear the laughter of children,
I mourn for the innocence they soon
Will lose. Stripped away from them, taken away
Brutally by a brutal, evil world.
When I see their rosy cheeks, their eyes,
Shining with the goodness within them,
The lack of guile they present us,
And the pretty bodies god gave them,
I feel their loss upcoming. Soon, now,
They will lose their unworldlyness.
Their soft skin will know pain and hatred,
Their soft, young minds disgraced by this world.
They soon will know a stranger's cruelty.
They will long for their absent parents.
They will curse God for their existence,
When I rape them for their innocence.
