It's hard for the rational mind to explain the appeal of these stories. Obviously, no woman wants to be brutalized and exploited like the women in the stories are, but there's a certain thrill involved in reading about it, imagining yourself as the unwilling victim or casting yourself in the role of observer. I believe it's the same desire that drives little girls to mutilate their Barbie dolls and cut off their hair: a nasty truth, but one no less real. In this story, the hapless victim is a young, hotshot lawyer who has recommended that a "punker" secretary in her firm be fired. Believing that her role in the dismissal is a secret, she attends the secretary's going away party, which is held in a sleazy bar. She's drugged and strapped to a table, and the usual ensures: kinky clothes, piercings, enemas, sexual teasing. In the end the vengeful secretary leads her to a mirror where she can look at her new self: "This woman looked like something out of some kind of bizarre porno movie...(she) was wearing a tight, rubber push-up bra, which made the most of her small, firm breasts. Those breasts were further pulled upwards by a slender chain which ran from two small rings in her nipples - RINGS IN HER NIPPLES! - to a larger ring which hung down from her nose. The chain was just tight enough to pull slightly on the nipples, and this caused the woman in the mirror to keep her head facing submissively downward." The secretary then tells her: "This is your new career. A lifetime career...all the time you're here, they'll keep you bound, gagged and costumed...The fun part is that you'll constantly be forced to give them sexual pleasure...just like any other sex toy - fucking, sucking and everything else they can think of. But you'll never (let you) come." Taking the "never come" point into account, which is mentioned several times, the story can be read as a metaphor for female sexual arousal...a rabid desire that keeps rising and rising in a never-ending curve, along with the delights of endless foreplay and hopeless sexual thralldom. I wonder if Parker is a man or women. If he's a man, he isn't the only one that would like to switch places with a woman in the sexual act. My Marine Buddy [A] When received: 3/6/98 Author: Jon Hold A young medical joins a platoon of tough Marines and struggles to find his place, playing those one-up and dominance games that men do in nearly every situation in which they have to work together. Finally he's accepted, but in the course of it injures another Marine with his aikido in hand-to-hand combat training. Seeking to make amends, he takes the guy into town for a Jacuzzi session. In the shower, the two have sex, then comes a spanking session in which the presumptuous medical officer is shown his place. The tone was congenial, the sex loving and sensual, with the narrator describing his lover's body in half poetic, half medical terms: "Gently, gently but ever so thoroughly I traced every millimeter of the vas deferens from where it left the body cavity to coil down behind the loose walls of the scrotum to twist across the tops of the heavy testicles." If you read this, prepare to get out your handkerchiefs, because the ending is sad. I did. His translator, a stunning woman named Renata, announces that the chieftain wants to cinch the deal in the traditional Yoruban way, which is to share with the partner the possession he prizes the most. Which is Renata. But first it's time for a coffee break in which Renata plucks out her tit: "A spray of virginal white milk erupted from her engorged nipple, exploding into the dark coffee like a brilliant firework on a pitch black night, swirling into a spiraling trail as it mixed darkness with light." This is truly amazing as it's never said she's recently bore a child. Sex then follows, oral, anal, and three-way. In the end we find out why Renata was so accommodating. I really liked the idea of this story; it was smart and funny, and had a moderately unusual, well-described sex act (that coffee with cream.) But I can't rate it higher than I did because of the overwritten nature of the prose, which eventually descended into sheer silliness. It's very easy to write a hot sex scene, but very hard to write a coherent, fulfilling story around it...and as sex scenes are a dime a dozen with nothing much to distinguish between them besides literary skill (after all, we all know how to do it) it's careful attention to conception, plot, style, and character that make a story truly great. (Is this the start of a new subgenre, gangsta sex?) The two share eye contact and smiles, which gradually grow more erotic. No sexual advances occur, but when the narrator reaches her office, she flees into the ladie's room to finger herself to orgasm. This wasn't a quite classifiable as a sex story--the only sex occurs in the line "I pulled down my waistband and fingered myself, and shivered when I came suddenly with hardly any effort"--so I assume it was meant as erotica, and erotica of a more refined caliber than the Taria story or even the "single or double?" squirt story above. As such, it satisfied, and it was short, too. More authors should discipline themselves to write short pieces. We reviewers don't have all the time in the world to read, you know. In the words of one of its fans, it is "dedicated to the concept of sex with or sexual attraction to robots and robot-like beings, such as people behaving like/turned into human mannequins or statues, mechanical dolls, wind-up toys, and other fantasies." This concept is brought home by the animated gif that continuously plays in the lower left-hand corner: faceless female robots, statues with living eyes, and packaged torsos all dissolving into each other in a never-ending stream, disturbing for its anonymous fetishing of female flesh yet oddly beautiful at the same time. The same descriptions apply to the stories, of which there are only two at this point. Both are recommended in light of Geisha's careful, excellent prose and oddly innocent whimsy, so you don't have to feel too weird about enjoying them. "Sculptura" is a fantasy in which a girl visits to a mage- crafter in order to be transformed into an inanimate object. The transformation has a sexual component, which is described in rich, elegant prose: "She groaned, arcing her head back from the waves of pleasure caused by the crafting, and reached one flame-red hand towards her sex. The flesh there was taking on a more intense white-hot glow than the rest of her did, and I gently pushed at her spirit, guiding the curious hand away. She moaned loudly in disappointment, her head rolling from side to side as the energies of the enchantment coursed within her. Her insistent cries were more than enough reason for me to continue -- her sexual energies were mounting swiftly under the effects of the spell, and I intended to use that to my advantage. " As to why she would want to be "...once living flesh, now clear, crystalline glass" hey, it's *really* a metaphor for the rigidity and sensual perfection of the female body and psyche at the height of orgasm. Or it's a fetish. Either def was fine by me. The second story, "Jake and Monica," deals with a young couple about to go to a masquerade party. Jake is a Hollywood special effects makeup artist, and Monica's into bondage, and you can imagine the results. The story is a long, loving, and slightly cutesy description of Monica's transformation into a dressmaker's dummy. In the end, as she's wheeled into the back of the van for conveyance to the party, when her boyfriend tells her: "If you behave yourself, I may just decide not to sell you to an actual tailor," she orgasms from the sheer thought of it. Fetishes are powerful stuff. There's also a brief bit of information about Geisha herself. Check this site out if you're in the mood for something carefully crafted and fairly unusual.
