Piper's favorite stories list - reviews 2/3 (D-L)
January, 1998

Here's my reviews, or to be more accurate, my short summaries of the
stories. I won't bother rating them, since I like all of them (nach!).

Story codes included, if the copy I have has them.

DarkNights: Mating Flight - DA Ignatius (14k)
  CR 75 10,8,5

In a world where magic is real, where mages and shapeshifters abound,
dragons rule the sky. Dragons, who can take the forms of men. And
  women.

Being dragons, the females come into season only rarely. When they
do, they go on mating flights. Hormonally driven, this is an
unavoidable, undelayable, and not really predictable event. Only the
best, the bigest, the strongest and most fit males can keep up with a
female who's flying the flight of need and seduction. For this one
female, her chosen lifemate is far, far away, and might not be able to
come to her before another manages to complete the union. Where she is,
there is no shortage of young guardsmen around who are more than willing
to help out a lady (dragon) in her time of need.

Dawn's Tale parts 1-4 - Ian (unfinished,204k)

In this scifi story, Dawn is a not-too-bright young lady who happens to
have a gene makeup very close to that of Homo Sapiens prehistoric alien
ancestors. Those ancestors were the work-sex-slaves of a superior
brand of alien, who have just rediscovered our planet.

Only those people with a nearly pure gene makeup are "permitted" to
rejoin the aliens, as pampered, happy, bred-for-the-purpose, slaves.
"Permitted", in this case, means "shanghaied". No matter. Since the
slaves DNA is so close to the original, they are much happier being
  slaves than being free.

Slaves are modified to bring them back to working spec. Slaves are
retrained to do their proper tasks. Slaves have sex with anybody and
everybody who they're told to. Slaves are always kept naked, and
guided around by fingers slipped into their lower orifices. Slaves
can hold their breath under water for a half-hour, and are happiest in
a warm, humid, very watery environment. Masters often feel very close
and protective of their slaves, treating them at least as well as they
  do their pets.

There's a lot more in this same vein, with some fantastically
descriptive imagery of the medical procedures, the thought processes of
the new slave, some first encounters, and the work performed by both
slaves and masters. A benevolent utopia for both classes, I'm sure.

Dessert Free with Meal at Donna's Diner - Lingus (46k)

Mike and Donna have this dream of owning their own diner somewhere in
New England. After many years, circumstances arrange themselves in
such a way as to allow them to fulfill their fantasy. Their prolonged
search for the perfect place leads them to a place called The Dahl
House, owned by - you guessed it - an older couple named Dahl -
  Helen and Owen Dahl.

Now, Mike and Donna aren't exactly young, being in their fifties and
all, but they're definitely younger than the Dahls, who are in their
seventies. Now, the diner has a reputation for good food, does a good
business, has a regular clientele, and has this long-standing
tradition of giving away dessert free when you buy a full meal. It
takes Donna and Mike quite a while to learn what "dessert" Helen had
been giving away, without Owen's knowledge, and even longer to believe
it. So, the question is, how are they going to handle the long-time
"special" customers, and are they going to go against tradition?
Especially after they learn about the rather, ah, "showy" tradition
Helen was carrying on for the early morning breakfast crowd?

DNA - Stephanie (135k)
  CR 19 10

This is a TG story. An "oops" TG story. A red-faced, I-fucked-up-
good type TG story. There's a certain researcher in an advanced
medical laboratory pursuing a certain line of research. This research
is originally meant to help the human condition, by allowing genes
to be rewritten in the human body. Imagine - curing various illnesses,
reversing the worst ravages of the aging process, regrowing lost limbs,
and various things like that. Of course, what this lady researcher
does first, is figure out how to rewrite the sex chromosomes.

Her lab assistant is her first experimental subject. It's a simple
matter - render him unconscious, inject him with the viral agent that
activates the change, note what happens, then inject him with another
viral agent to change him back. Who's genes does she use to replace
his own with? Her 17 year old niece.

Now comes the oops. It's a small thing, really. The virus doesn't
want to be replaced. It fights off the second dose, leaving the poor
guy shorter, lighter, weaker, and as shapely as they come.

This leads to a tangled tale of false hopes, problems involving the
researcher's boyfriend, her niece, more mishaps, chases, seductions,
and another whoops. You see, the transformed guy sort of forgets that
his transformed body is wholly female, complete with working
reproductive organs. Definitely a big, big whoops.

Fun and enjoyable, despite the technical problems in the story.

Donna's Three Sons - Eros (200k)

Donna is married to Carl. They've been married for just over 20 years.
Three months ago, Carl left Donna to go with a hot babe. He's going to
divorce Donna and marry that beautiful young thang. You know the old
story, the grass is greener, unplowed fields, a change is as good as a
rest... Happens all the time. That's the problem with letting your
husband hire an "18 year old blonde bimbo secretary".

Donna's other problem is money. She has an inheritance, separate from
anything Carl can touch, which will keep her and the kids clothed and fed,
but she wants the house as well as enough cash to send all three kids to
college. She has to "keep her nose clean", as it were, in order to clean
out Carl. (As in quite a few of these stories, it doesn't matter if the
husband is running around with the entire cheerleading squad of the local
high school. If the wife is caught even kissing another guy, she gets
  shafted.)

So, Donna has now been without for three long months, after getting very
exciting, very satifying, and, most importantly, very regular sex from
Carl for many years. She's very horny. So horny, in fact, that even the
gardner, a 50+ year old guy who doesn't even speak English, who she's
never even looked twice at before, gets her very hot and very juicy.
  What's a woman to do?

One Tuesday afternoon she comes home when her sons aren't expecting her,
and, without being seen, she watches them have a circle jerk outside in
the pool. They're all of legal age (18, 19, and 20), and all sport real
"man-sized" cocks. Now she's really horny!! Again, what's a woman to do?

No, she doesn't strip, walk out by the pool, and jump the bones of all
three young lads in a massive orgy. Instead, she goes to her room and
masturbates. That evening, Matt, the oldest son, starts the seduction
of his sex-starved mother. (Why he picks that specific day is never
explained). It takes until the next morning, out in the garden, for him
to overcome, rather forcefully, all of his mother's objections and to
finally complete the act he's been aching to perform (soon to be followed
by the middle son, soon to be followed by the youngest son). After all,
Donna does have some morals. Her older two sons don't, but she does.
It's an agonizing problem. Listen to her conscience and not let them
have their way with her, or give in to her hungry and demanding cunt.
  Guess what wins out.

Like most of Eros' stories, this one is very well written and technically
sound. However, also like most of Eros' stories, the characters are
somewhat superficial. Less so than in many other a.s.s. stories, but
still not quite fully dimensional human beings. No matter. Eros doesn't
write about deep emotion, or about psychology, or about warm, fuzzy,
monogamous relationships. Infidelity, incest, paedophilia, and orgies
are his bag, with lots and lots of hot, wet, steamy sex. This story is
  one of his best.

Oh, I forgot to mention one detail. Carl's new bimbo apparently thinks
Carl is too old for her and runs off with some young stud from a bowling
alley, so Carl decides to "let" Donna take him back. I'm not going to
tell you what happens when he arrives home.

Dorothy Does Oz - Shelby Thomas Bush (110k)
  CR 95 10,10,10

It's sometimes hard to come up with a new slant on a story that's been
told so many times before. After all, it's been told in print a dozen
times. It's been done in black and white. It's been done in hollywood
glitz and glitter. It's been done in song and dance. And, of course,
  it's been done in cartoon.

How is Shelby going to make his version unique? Simple - he's going to
make the characters do it in the nude. Maybe not all the time, but
there's going to be a lot of bare flesh and mated body parts. Who's
body parts, you ask? Why, Dorothy's, of course. Her and just about
every major character in the story. Also, a lot of the details have
been reoriented around a rather more licentious theme. For example,
it's no longer water that Dorothy throws over the Wicked Witch of the
West, and the Tin Woodsman is good for something other than chopping
wood. At least, Dorothy thinks so. So is Scarecrow's corncob.

This is a very funny story, mixed in with a lot of irreverant and very
casual fun. No, Dorothy isn't in Kansas any more. But, that's okay.
There's just as much fun waiting for her when she gets back home.

The Drive In - M1ke Hunt (32k)
  CR 214 10,10,10

The author says in his intro, "this is a simple fuck and suck story,
and who wants to read another one of those, anyway." He also says he
fired his joke writer, so don't expect any funnies. Yeah, right, Mike.
Suuure. It couldn't possibly be a M1ke Hunt story without a few grins
and chuckles to go along with your "nothing but fucking and sucking."

The premise is a couple of couples are double dating and going to a
drive-in movie. One girl bows out, leaving one guy as a fifth wheel.
Naturally, being the intelligent guy he is, he knows his friend will
not want him there at the drive in. Not by himself, without a
girlfriend to distract his attention away from what they would be doing.
The other guys girlfriend pretty much insists that they all go together.
We get a couple and a single at a drive-in, all in the same car,
watching some xxx movies. A simple story.

Needless to say, there are a few laughs in the story. There's also a
horny girlfriend, a plate of nachos, and some dancing candy. That's not
to mention some hot, heavy, standard-issue triple-feature skin-flick
stuff on the big screen, and some hot, heavy, non-standard triple
  action in the car.

Elizabeth and Anastasia - Tom Bombadil (280k)
  CR 112 10,10,10

This is a long, detailed love story about two women. It covers a
couple of years of their lives, and involves Anastasia (a true lesbian),
Elizabeth (a bi-sexual teenager), Elizabeth's father, his mistress, and
  Elizabeth's next door neighbor.

Not everything is wonderful in Elizabeth's household. Her mother up and
left a few years earlier, without saying a word, and hasn't been heard
from since. Her father hates lesbians. The relationship between Betty
(Elizabeth) and Stacy (Anastasia) is iffy, with many ups and downs.
Neither of them really know what they want in life. This story explores
both of their explorations and revelations. Other people are involved
in their lives as well, including an English teacher, a principal,
a boy friend, a girl friend, and a couple of gay guys (no, there's no
gay sex in the story). All of the interactions read pretty true to
life. There's even some humor and romance, in places.

There isn't very much sex in this story, considering how long it is,
and what there is comes late in the story, but it is hot, and it fits
  well within the story line.

All in all, this one is pretty well done. The revised version is better
than the original. Warning: some scenes might make you hungry!

Ellen - Emerson Laken-Palmer (105k)
  CR 220 9.5,10,10

Danny is the brother. Ellen is the sister. He's 19, she's 18, and
they both still live at home. This is a sex story, right? Well, yes
and no. There's a lot more to this story than sex. First, it has to
do with a guy finally listening to his sister about his girlfriend.
It also has to do with how a brother and sister do and don't get along
together. Also, it paints a very clear picture of a horny, somewhat
irresponsible guy who learns the hard way about taking the heat for his
  own actions.

Emerson writes long stories with lots of relevant detail, and likes to
make his characters real. In this case, after finishing the story, I
almost feel like I know the principals involved. They came to life on
the screen, and that made the story more powerful for me. No, not just
the sex, but also the relationships. Those, to me, are just as
important as a hot, descriptive sex act.

Elven Encounter - Brian Esterson (45k)

What would you do if you came across a veiled lady with pointed ears?
Oh, you want to know what a veiled lady is, do you? In this day and
age, in polite society, they're called escorts, or ladies of the
evening. You already know what they're called in less polite society.

In the time and place where this story takes place, paid women are a
generally accepted part of society. Elves exist, but are rare, and
one that's for hire is very rare.

Conwyn found such a one. Her name is Shileena. Maybe. He's got the
cash, and she's got the time. This story is about how wonderful a time
  they have together.

Is it good? The writing is. If you can get into the mindset of a guy
enjoying the company of an extraordinary woman, or the mindset of an
extraordinary woman enjoying the company of a virile and appreciative
man, then the fantasy is as well.

F is for Face - Dulcinea (10k) (mf, cons, facial)
  CR 171 10,10,10

We start with the husband complaining to the wife about his face. He
doesn't like his nose. Even after she tells him she likes him just
fine, he continues his whining. She continues doing the housework
around him. He follows, moaning all the way. Even after she laughs
and teases him, even after she kisses him, even after she has her way
with him, he still blabbers on about having a big nose.

But, what about after she says "One more word and you're sleeping
  alone!"

This is a light and playful story, like most of Dulcinea's works.

FAME: Light Up The Sky Like A Flame - Uncle Mike (35k) (mF)
  CR 200 10,10,10

What's this? Another television pastiche? Yep. Only, this time, it's
a heavy dramatic piece. Bruno Martelli is a musician, composer, and
piano player. Miss Grant is a dance instructor. She keeps Bruno back
after school to play -- the piano. The teacher is practicing a dance
number for a staff recital coming up in a week, and Bruno is the only
piano player she can get hold of who can do justice to the music.

Naturally, being a dancer, Miss Grant has a beautifully trim and tight
body. Unlike many dancers, she also has good sized breasts. Watching
this beautiful woman twist, twirl, and squirm all over the floor
generates the expected result in his crotch, especially after she changes
into the costume she'll be wearing at the recital -- sans skirt.

The teasing in this story is wonderful. Poor Bruno can hardly keep his
hands on the keyboard. Worse yet, when Miss Grant changes into her
costume, she does it right in the dance room -- behind a rolling
blackboard. That certainly doesn't help his, uh, concentration.

Hot dance, hot music, and a lot of sweat make up a good portion of this
story. As usual, Uncle Mike wrote a very hot, very inciteful story
about characters in a popular television show.

Farm Help - R. Hawk (108k)

Charlie is an old farm boy transplanted to the big city. He's been
there for a long time. His sister, Pam, married a farmer, and had
four kids. About a month after her husband died, she found out she
had number five on the way. So, she calls Charlie for help. She'd
really appreciate him coming out for about six months -- "until the
baby is here and I'm properly back on my feet again."

Now Charlie is an old farm boy, and he knows all about hard work. That
doesn't bother him in the least. However, he doesn't want to just up
and leave his job, so he gives her a reluctant no, telling her she
should hire a foreman for a year. His boss, however, has different
ideas. "Take some time off. You're getting burned out. You haven't
taken a vacation in six years. Six months!? Well, we'll figure
  something out."

The family that greets him isn't the one he expected. After all,
Helen is now 16, Shawna is 15, Johnny is six, and Caroline is almost
twelve. It's not so much that they're so much bigger and better
developed than he remembers, but it's the squirming hello kisses on the
mouth that put the lead in his pencil. "Uh oh," is his thought. "Six
months of perpetual hard-on coming up."

Nope. He gets relief on day two, from an unexpected source, and that
evening from an even less expected source. It takes weeks before his
sister get's involved. And that 12th birthday party, and celebration,
is something to remember on a cold winter's night.

Like Hawk's other stories, this one is interesting, with lots of sex,
lots of well-described action, and many technical flaws.

The Farmer's Step-Daughter - Master Wade (150k)

Ai-yi-yi! Whooee! Hot! Ouch! Definitely not PC. What happens when
you mix an old-fashioned farmer with a new-fangled rebellious teenager?
In Master Wade's world, some very hot, spicy, action ensues.

Naturally, there's bondage. Discipline. Wet, slippery action. A
lack of underwear. And chores. Chores? Hey, they live on a farm. Of
*course* there's chores. The livestock has to be serviced -- er,
looked after, regardless of what kind of fun the residents are having.

Turning a wild and willful teenage girl into a submissive sex toy takes
a fair amount of time, and a solid game plan. Jim has the plan, and
he thinks the beautiful Mink is worth the effort. It does take a
while, and he has to wean her from her two boyfriends. What does
Mink's mother think of this? She's thrown up her hands in despair and
given Jim carte blanche. If he does something he doesn't think she
can handle, she doesn't want to know about it.

This is a very good example of Master Wade's work, and a good example
of consensual B&D, even if it is with a minor.

First Love - (? Gidget) (550k) (mf teen, first, love)
  CR 124 10,10,10

The author calls this "a coming of age" story. I think the author is
right. While there is "sex", it's all within the context of a much
  larger picture.

We are given a window into the lives of three teenagers. These are
fairly typical teenagers, if there is really any such thing, with
fairly typical needs and desires. They also have all the usual problems
and doubts typical teenagers have. Such as getting drunk and doing
something they later realize they shouldn't have. Or falling head over
heels in love with someone who thinks they are "cute". It's how they
work through these problems that gives us this story.

Be warned. There is an awful lot of "story" in this story, with a low
ratio of naughty stuff. Being much more true to life than other such
stories, nobody is hopping into bed with anybody on a daily basis.
Despite claims to the contrary, this is far more normal than the other
way around. Personally, I got a sort of "happy days" feel when reading
this story. These are real teenagers, doing real teenager type things.
  Very enjoyable.

(The earliest repost I've been able to find of this story is dated
Mar/95, and it came from an164004@anon.penet.fi (Gidget). This
might be the author. Then again, it might not be. I don't know.)

Fleeing Gods - Mary Anne Mohanraj (7k) (m/f, gods)
  CR 102 10,10,10

"I am Zeus, ruler of Olympus, seducer of maidens, wielder of the
thunderbolt....and you shall not escape me!"

How would you like to wake up and rather unexpectedly find a god in
your bed? That's what happens to Helena in this story. No, she
doesn't scream, or panic, or try to call 911. Helena is a modern
woman, with a slightly larger than average appetite -- one that hasn't
been truly satiated in quite some time. And the great hairy bear of a
man she finds naked in her bed has a great cudgel of a staff that she
  truly wants to sample.

So what will Zeus do when faced with a woman of the 90's, rather than
the properly timid and frightened maidens of a few millenia ago? For
one thing, he's certainly not used to an agressive bed partner (except
for maybe Hera, his wife). For another, the maidens today don't know
how to shift their form (which he rectifies). Now, he's got a horny,
aggressive, shape-shifting woman that wants a great deal of satisfaction
from him. What happens? Read the title.

Flying High - Tiffany (16k) (FF)

Lucy Evers is flying home to see her family. She's been away at
college, she's freshly married (just off her honeymoon), and she hasn't
seen any of them for a year. The plane is almost empty, but a good
looking young woman sits beside her anyway. Lucy gets a little annoyed,
and a little turned on, when some boy sitting several seats farther up
the aisle keeps staring up her dress.

She knows he's hoping to see her panties, so in a moment of irrational
daring and pique, she flashes him. That's when the woman beside her
gets involved, daring her to do it again, but without panties. The
dare becomes a double-dare. Then the ground rules are laid out. The
boy gets more than an eyeful as the woman gets involved, one stewardess
gets involved, then the other stewardess gets involved. It's a bizarre
situation for a normally straight woman to find herself in.

Foreign Affair - Ann Douglas (38k) (FF)
  CR 14 10

Everyone knows that the Japanese culture is very patriarchal. Men
dominate home life, business life, and government. Women don't appear
to have much power, or much say in anything that really matters.

So why was Amanda McIntyre chosen to be part of an important U.S. trade
delegation to a major Japanese manufacturing conglomerate? She doesn't
speak the language, she doesn't personally know any of the businessmen,
and she certainly wouldn't "go out for drinks" with the head of the
Japanese group, even if she wasn't an out-of-the-closet lesbian.

It's only towards the end of the meetings, when it looks like there
won't be any agreement, that she figures out why. The men there need
a patsy, someone to take the heat for them when they return in defeat
  to the U.S. Nice guys.

On a rooftop, Amanda meets a Japanese woman named Mariko. Mariko
seems to understand one word of English, and only one word. That word
is "lesbian". The two women enjoy a very pleasant night together.

What has this got to do with the trade negotiations, and Amanda's
imminent canning? Remember the first paragraph? I said "appear".
  Appearances can be deceiving.

As usual, Ann Douglas has given us a beautiful little story. It's
concise, detailed, character-driven, and makes us think a little. It
also has a very nice love scene. However, also as usual, Ann's story
could stand a proper proofreading by someone who really knows the
technical side of the English language. Despite being run through a
spellcheck, there are still plenty of places where wrong words and bad
punctuation make reading more difficult than it should be. One thing I
do know, is that Ann's Japanese is better than mine.

Frisking the Cat - Tooshoes (122k)
  CR 163 10,10,10

There's a huge number of stories written about Supergirl, about Batgirl,
and about Catwoman. Somehow, these slinky, powerful, sensual, and
very attractive women seem to seep into the libidos and imaginations
of many men and women. Why? If you have to ask why, then you won't
  enjoy this story.

Supergirl is a sensitive young woman, stuck on a world she doesn't
understand, with people she doesn't understand, with powers she never
asked for, and with other people making conflicting demands on her.
For one thing, superheroing isn't a salaried job. For another, there
are governmental agencies (the SSA, for one) who's sole purpose is to
keep tabs on superheroes, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, regardless
of what secret identity they try to maintain. Nice, huh? For yet
another, she isn't human, regardless of what she looks like on the
  outside.

One day, a gang steals her purse in the subway, while she's being
distracted (one of them was eating her out). That's a little worse for
her than it might be for someone else, since she keeps her costume in
it. Big Oops. Who stole it? What will they do with it? Catwoman's
cronies did. Why did they do it? That's an intregal part of the story.

We are lead along a path of personal angst, where the woman in question
is fighting against her own sensual nature, trying to maintain an image
pasted onto her by Superman and the popular press. Her adventures of
self-discovery delve deep into her psyche. Very interesting stuff, for
a comic book character. And Catwoman is just as complex.

This is one of a number of Supergirl stories by Tooshoes. Personally,
I think this is the best of the lot, but all of them are interesting.
Also, they are part of a somewhat integrated whole, with each story
in the series letting the character grow a little more, get a little
more mature, and learn a little more about herself and the world. All
  are well written.

Gilligan's Island: Passion Fruit - Shelby Bush (120k)
  CR 98 10,10,10

I always found it strange that after seven years together on a lonely
tropical island, that absolutely no hanky-panky took place between or
among any of the castaways. After all, Ginger and Mary-Ann weren't
exactly hard on the eyes, and I do suspect that Gilligan, Skipper, and
the Professor all had normal, working glandular systems. Come to think
of it, the girls probably did too. Seven years. That's a long time
to go without. Maybe those rumors about Skipper and Gilligan, or
  the girls ... Nah.

This story is about what happens when Gilligan finds a rather strange
new fruit on the island. It has some rather strange effects. For a
while, it increases the libido and reduces inhibitions. What makes it
really neat, is that it also produces a kind of temporary amnesia.
Nobody can remember what they did while under its influence. The
perfect aphrodisiac, and what every horny teenage boy dreams about
  possessing.

This is one of Shelby's best Pastiches of a television show. If you
ignore the subject matter, you can actually picture the actors doing
and saying exactly what he wrote. It's great! Even if you've never
seen the show, there's enough story for you to get to know the
characters and enjoy some silly fun.

Ginsu Memories - Dafney Dewitt (9k)
  CR 129 10,10,10

Brenda is reading one of those historical romance fantasy novels, one
involving pirates, flashing swords, mysterious men, and women who must
undergo the unspeakable at the hands of those men. She's interrupted in
her fantasy by a knocking at the door. Wonder of wonders, it's a small,
dark, mysterious man wielding a very sharp blade. He's a door to door
salesman selling Ginsu Wonder Knives. That doesn't deter Brenda, as
her fantasies leap from the printed page into real life - at least in
her mind. She's forced to submit, to sit on the couch, while he begins
  doing unspeakable things ...

Going Home - Kim (12k)
  CR 229 10,10,10

  In Kim's own words:

<<This is a bittersweet love story. There is precious little sex in it
and it's probably not what you were expecting a Halloween ghost story
to be. What can I say? I'm like that.>>

This is a ghost story, not a sex story. Or, rather, it's a delicate,
touching story about a deceased wife's spirit, her time on earth
after death, what binds her, and what releases her. There's not much
more to say, other than it is beautiful.

Goth'rotica - Miss Lucy (133k)
  CR 137 10,10,8

There's a Gothic mansion, on a hill, somewhere on Long Island. That's
right, a Gothic mansion, complete with stone walls, giant fireplaces,
slate roofs, gargoyles, lost spirits, a mad doctor, and an innocent
(well, not *too* innocent) young writer. I guess you could call this
"Frankenstein's Monster" meets "The Island of Dr. Moreau".

The Condrie Institute (the mansion) is Dr. Mary Falkner's playground.
She's the mad scientist, by the way. "Miss Lucy" (a pseudonym) is
the writer Mary has hired to write about her life, or something.
Whatever. That's not terribly important. What is important is that
Miss Lucy gets a visit from a terribly strange *thing* that first night
in the mansion, one that is quite, uh, lusty.

Naturally, Mary denies anything is wrong. Of course, she's lying.
She has an agenda, and a reason for wanting a young woman in residence
that has nothing to do with writing. That *thing* is part of it.

I sometimes like stories like this. They're just weird enough to be
quite refreshing. Strange, chill breezes. Tables set for a throng,
with only two expected for dinner. A closet full of beautiful gowns.
Strange, half-seen faces glimpsed in mirrors. Moving statuary. Angry
villagers (all right, townsfolk). Bizarre experiments. All the
elements of a classic Gothic horror story.

Heart of the Lion - Anthony Pryor-Brown (130k) (erotic sword and sorcery)

Isn't it every guy's fantasy, at one time or another, to be helpless
before a beautiful warrior woman, who's only interest in him seems to
be relieving him of his seminal burden? No? Oh, only 98% of guys.
  Close enough for me.

Wulf (not his real name) is a freelance freebooter, a thief, a lover,
an adventurer, and anything else that he thinks might get him enough
cash to live comfortably for a little while longer. Due to some
unfortunate incidents, Wulf finds it rather convenient to join the
king's army. It'll only be for a short while, he thinks. Unfortunately,
the king, a rather less than exemplary sample of the breed, decides to
colonize a nearby continent. The natives, naturally, take exception
to having an army move in.

The expeditionary force, many thousand strong, gets wiped out. All but
Wulf. That's where the woman warrior comes in. She's decided to prove
that Wulf isn't a zombie, by proving that he can perform as a man. From
there, things get weird, as Wulf is forced to explore this new and alien
land, with its strange cultures and stranger women. Kinda neat stuff.
  Really.

Hybrid Vigor - GM Sullivan (115k)

This is a scifi story. Yes, a scifi story. There isn't much sex in
it at all. There is a whole lot of smoking, however. This is a scifi
story about smokes that can turn a person into a virtual super-person.
Sound weird? Definitely. It's also a detailed, convoluted, gripping,
  hard-bitten story.

A woman reporter substitues for another woman to get an "in" at a
secret research facility. The head scientist at the facility is your
typical brilliant sociopath. He sees through the deception immediately,
and decides that the woman will make an ideal "subject". He gets her
to smoke one of his "special" cigarettes, the ones imbued with his
new physiology-altering, mind-stimulating substance. It goes on from
there, involving her boss, other reporters, secret government agencies,
a mass fire, and a desperate escape attempt.

Not for the faint of heart, or for those who don't appreciate a good
  smoke.

Inger - Friar Dave (96k)
  CR 132 10,10,10

Who is a pubescent boy's wet-dream cum true? Why, Inger, of course.
Whil Roger, the Dad, is out romancing a rather lusty high school
English teacher, his son Bill, the 12-year-old, is busy getting seduced
(if it's possible to seduce a horny young kid) by his new babysitter
  Inger, the college student.

There's more to this story than that, of course. Both women are quite
lusty, and enjoy back door play. Both swallow. Both men are rather
lusty as well, but Bill can go three rounds without getting soft.

There isn't a great deal of sentimentality in this story, but there is
a lot of fairly realistic fun, play, and some good, solid, fucking.

Journal Entries - Elf Sternberg (many stories)
  CR 57 10, CR 60 10, Annex 8/22/97 A to A+

Scifi. Furry. Regular. Oral. Anal. Gay. Lesbian. Sado-masochism.
Romance. Babies. Incest. Solos. Pairs. 3-somes. 4-somes.
Moresomes. In his "Journal" chronicles, Elf covers all of these
  subjects, and more.

What are the Journal Entries? They purport to be the diary, or log, or
story, of the life of one Kennet R'yal Shardik, as well as some of his
relatives, his lovers, and his friends. Ken is the most influential
man in the universe, and, possibly, the most odd. He's been around for
many hundreds of years and has, quite literally, created entire worlds
and attendant intelligent species to populate them. Many call him their
  living god.

So far, I've read about three dozen Journal Entries. All of them were
well written. Most of them, even if they weren't about things I care
much about (such as gay furry sex), were still interesting. In each,
there's a complete story, a page out of the life, as it were. Sex may
or may not be included, but something will be.

To keep track of particular story lines, watch the 4-digit numbers
carefully. They indicate a related series. The 3-digit numbers indicate
episode sequence within a series. There are a lot of series and
episodes. No matter what your kink, as long as it's not overly
gruesome, you'll eventually find it somewhere. Heck, there's even some
normal man-woman equivalent-to-married sex -- somewhere. Trust me.

Kate and Emily - Brenda Ann Smith (unfinished,155k)

Sometimes I really love to read romance stories, ones that aren't the
  standard meet-fall-in-love-fall-in-bed-get-married-but-not-necessarily-
in-that-order fare. This one meets all my criteria for a great read.
It's got several real people in it. It's got believable situations and
actions. It has crises that must be overcome. It has two people who
fall in love, but have many difficulties, both internal and external,
that keep driving them together and then apart again.

If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm talking about Kate and Emily.
Kate is an artist. Emily is a wanna-be television reporter. I say
wanna-be, because she's still putting in her time doing the small-time
filler pieces that may or may not ever actually see air-time.

This story is written in episodes. While the author claims that the
episodes are stand-alone, I don't think any of them, on their own, do
very much. A couple are interesting, but the characters don't feel quite
real. There's references to their history, but we have nothing to go
on, or to base their actions and reactions on. It doesn't work nearly
as well an episode of "Bob and Jeanette Brennan" or "MyFrThAl".

What does work, brilliantly, I might add, is if you read the episodes
in order. Even unfinished, I found this to be one of the most touching
and human stories I've ever read. My only complaint is that Ms Smith is
taking her sweet time in getting around to writing the rest of this work
of art. (Yes, I know, don't rush the writer. But I can still be
  impatient, can't I?)

Kate and Lyn - Gina Marie Wylie (142k)

Is this a love story? I don't know. It might be. It certainly is a
lust story. Kate and Bill are high school kids and they are out on a
date to see a movie. In the lobby, they run into Bill's friend Donny,
and his date Lyn. Now, normally, while on a date in a movie house,
you'd expect Bill to sit beside Kate, right? Well, not this time. He
sits beside Donny, and the two spend most of the time talking. Donny is
sitting beside Lyn, who he ignores, and Lyn is sitting beside Kate.
Kate thinks Lyn is flirting with her. After the movie, they go back to
Donny's house because Donny has a new Nintendo game Bill wants to see.
Once the game starts, the girls are ignored.

Kate is a little peeved. She's even more peeved when Bill goes along
with Lyn's suggestion that she drive Kate home instead of him. On their
last few dates, Kate and Bill had enjoyed some warm, snuggly kissy-face
at her place, with her parents tacit permission. Unknown to Bill at
the time, his yes got him mentally removed from the list of people who
Kate would ever go out with again. What surprises Kate is that, when
they get in the car, Lyn makes snuggly kissy-face with her. What really
surprises her is that she enjoys it so much, and goes along with it.
They even manage to steam up the car windows.

That's the start of a fairly long story. There's a fair amount of this
kind of action. You know, kissing, fondling, touching, wondering what
the hell they're doing, and what the hell they're getting into. There's
also a fair amount of hot, wet, slippery action. A fun teenage romp.
It gets even more interesting when a friend gets invited to join in.

Kathy's Deal - R. Hawk (139k)

Here's Hawk's own description of this story:

<<Kathy's Deal -- Kathy makes a deal with the devil (her mother) for the
  date of a lifetime.>>

Marla is the mother. What we first see, is Marla making a date with
Charles. What we see next, the night Charles is supposed to show up for
their date, is Marla and Kathy both getting ready for dates. Jack, a
high-school senior comes to the door before Charles shows up. The big
surprise is that Jack is Marla's date, and Charles is Kathy's date.
Kathy is only sixteen, which is about half Charles age.

The way Kathy explains it, the deal she and her mother made was that if
Kathy could set up a date with some young stud for her mother, her
mother would set up a date between her and Charles. It sounds almost
reasonable, the way it's explained. For a while. It's not until we get
much deeper into the story that the full truth comes out. It's not
pretty. Kathy is a victim, and Charles is the patsy who unknowingly
helps her mother. A dark, intriguing tale of love, lust, and
perversion. Is there a happy ending? The question should be, can there
  be a happy ending?

One real problem with all of Hawk's stories is the language. No, not
cursing or swearing or 4-letter-word type stuff. I'm talking about his
English. Now, I could care less whether English is Hawk's second or
third language, or if he never finished third grade, or anything like
that. He wrote a great story. It had to be, to overcome the handicap
of so many misused words, wrongly used synonyms and homonyms, dangling
this, hanging that, and poor punctuation, and still make it on my list.
Please. Hawk. Find a proofreader. Your stories would be far, far
  better for it.

Little Red Riding Hood - Sarah Fox Jahn (15k) (ff oral sf nc teen)
  CR 101 10,10,10

Everybody in the world already knows the story of Little Red Riding
Hood, how Red meets the wolf in the woods, the wolf takes a shortcut,
eats Grandma, eats Red, then gets chopped open by a conveniently nearby
woodsman, letting Red and Grandma free, completely unharmed. Yeah.
  Right.

In this version, there's a slight twist. The wolf is a woman in sheep's
clothing (actually, a grey wool suit - tie and all). And, other than
Red carrying a basket full of goodies to Grandma's house in the woods,
there's not much else that matches the popularized version of the story,
either. The question is, what really happened in Grandma's cottage.
Sure puts a whole new light on the phrase "Eating Red".

Loving A Witch - Tigger (124k) (FDom,Mdom,FM,TG,Furry,Magic)

Melisande is an enchantress. She's almost six feet tall, built, with
white-blond hair, and is absolutely gorgeous, according to Jeremy. For
him, it was a little difficult to comprehend why she suddenly, out of
the blue, told him they were going out on a date. "I'm tired of waiting
for you to ask me out!" were her words. One Friday night, five weeks
into their relationship, which had been pretty much dinners, movies,
and a little snuggling, he went out on a desperation date with a known
slut. The date went very badly, and Jeremy, filled with guilt, went to
  Melie to beg her forgiveness.

He spent that weekend in the doghouse. Well, not literally, but he
wouldn't have looked out of place, what with having four paws, being
covered with fur, and making bark-bark-woof-woof noises. You see,
  Melie really is an enchantress.

Now, in magic stories, there are many things that could be done with a
spell-casting, shape-changing, very possessive witch. It could be that
she likes playing with animals. Different, but possible. Or, she might
be into pain, or bondage. Lots of possibilies exist. The fact is,
Melie likes a little kink, and a lot of control. There's some straight
stuff. There's some b&d. There is some tenderness, love, and pure lust.
There's quite a bit that could only happen with magic. Tigger explores
some fun possibilities, and does a very good job of bringing both
  characters to life.

Lynn - Dirty Dawg (41k) (m/f, cons, rom)
  CR 175 10,10,10, Annex 6/30/97 B+

What we have here is a non-classic three-way relationship between Todd,
Dave, and Lynn. All three have been best friends forever, almost,
although it's Todd and Lynn who are boyfriend and girlfriend. As good
as Dave is - star QB, straight A student, handsome, etc - that's how
average Dave is. Lynn blossomed from a below-average girl to a
beautiful woman late in her teens. Despite all the attention that
brought from all the boys who had previously ignored her, she stayed
true to the guy who loved her for herself.

I'm not sure how to classify this story. There's very little sex in it,
and nothing acutely graphic. It is, however, the best story I've read
from the Dawg. It's romantic, tender, touching, sad, and uplifting all
at the same time. If you want to read a wonderful story, this is it.

<that's all, folks!>
