The universe is a strange place. And larger than one would
imagine. It exists around itself, beside itself and within itself.
At places it crosses itself, in those places other universes can be
reached. There is such a place, a long ribbon of reality stretching
along the pathways, where towns exist, creatures roam and much that
can be found or imagined exists side by side on the border of
infinity. It stretches like a great earthen chain from one reality to
another. And inside, on it's incalculable length, life exists.

The chain averages twelve hundred miles in width. It twists and
turns, and in some places it narrows to less than 100 miles. In
others it spills into spaces like worlds. No-one and nothing had ever
traversed it's length. It stretched between realities.

At the edge of the chain there was a region of fog, entering it
leads the traveler away from where they came, and takes them to
another place on the chain. No lore master has ever found a pattern
or reason to the mist. It was a final escape and it only led you
somewhere else.

This was the chain, and somewhere in it's heart stood a small
village. A place of wood and thatch where farmers and townspeople
lived. It had stood at the edge of a great forest for as long as any
family remembered, perhaps forever. It was called Wolvrek.

At the heart of Wolvrek was the Tavern. It had no other name.
There was only one Tavern in Wolvrek, it was the gathering place. A
meeting hall and town center all in one. On this night it was a
meeting hall. Things had changed in Wolvrek, strange creatures moved
through the countryside. The long quiet forest had come to life.

Greye walked, carefully bearing an armful of drinks to a table of
arguing citizens. She was a tall, attractive girl with long, reddish
brown hair and a slender athletic frame. Greye and her sister Skye
were one of the main attractions to the Tavern since they had started
working there at age twelve. That was four years ago, after their
parents were killed.

The innkeeper Rolm had taken them in. He was aware of the
benefits of having the young girls working for him, but he treated
them well. Protecting them from the rare lecherous advances usually
from travelers. Rolm was well respected in Wolvrek and nobody messed
with Skye and Greye.

Greye smiled at Kimiko, the daughter of Nall. Nall owner the
trading post across the road. Kimiko had joined her friends working
in the tavern, two years ago. She was younger and shorter than the
sisters but bright and pretty with an infectious personality. Kimiko
was prone to mischief and constantly getting the girls into trouble.
She had long straight black hair and exotic dark eyes. The village
boys waited on her attentions like slobbering dogs and Kimiko loved
it.

The door opened and a figure staggered in. "They're coming."

The tavern hushed. Nall and Rolm helped the man, he was exhausted
and blood streamed from his head. They helped him to a table and
Greye recognized him as Than, a farmer at the edge of the great woods.

    "Who's coming, Than?"

"Stormriders." The tavern was quiet and a sense of dread fell
over all present.

"That's a myth..." A quiet hopeful voice began, then fell silent.

    "The Stormriders come."

Skye led her horse along the pathway. It was night. But she knew
the path well, she looked up at the stars as they wove in a gentle
ribbon across the sky. They flowed beautifully across the night sky.
The stars always reminded Skye of rocks at the bottom of a swift
stream. They flowed and wove around each other as the water rushed
over them. Skye imagined the water rushing over and past her world.
Twisting her view of the stars beyond.

She, tied the creature to a tree and stepped up a small hill. She
sat there for a while watching the stars swim past. Skye liked the
night, she had always been restless. The job at the tavern had become
a trap, something she wanted to escape. There was a long world out
there, somewhere in the chain her destiny awaited. It certainly
wasn't in Wolvrek.

Kimiko and Greye were better suited to this place. Kimiko with
her bronzed skin and taut body had her choice of the men in this
town. The flirtatious Greye loved the tavern. Someday she'd meet
some interesting traveler and be on her way. Skye wanted something
more, she just wasn't sure what.

A noise from the left spooked her and she rose. A strange hum
unlike anything she had heard before. It was not unlike the millers
place when the stone wasn't wetted properly, but softer, quieter. She
crept carefully in the direction of the noise. There was a trail that
led to the woodchute. Wolvrek only wooded occasionally, it was
usually a town wide job and they dragged the timber down the
woodchute, a thin path into the great forest.

She reached a earthwall, and peered around it. She saw movement
in the darkness. The strange sound increased as something moved
closer. Her heartbeat quickened, a sense of foreboding swept through
her. She thought of flight, returning to the tavern. But her
curiosity won out, it would do her no good to rush breathless into
town with a silly story of a strange shape at the edge of the woods.

She knelt at the edge of the earthwall and watched the shape
resolve. It first looked like a horse, but it was moving too
quickly. There was a rider and a dark shape underneath that seemed to
glide effortlessly over the trail. Skye decided she had enough of a
story to report and turned away carefully. She followed the
earthwork for several yards and then broke into a sprint to where her
horse waited.

She ran up to the horse and grabbed the reigns. Skye was in very
good shape and was a swift runner. She risked a look back and watched
as the thing slowed to a stop just beyond the earthwall. She held
still, one hand softly calming the horse. They were at the edge of a
line of trees and would be almost invisible in the darkness, so long
as the horse didn't make any noise.

She watched the figure dismount his strange leg less steed and
pull a tool from a harness. The figure pointed it in her direction
and she froze in panic. Part of her screamed to run, but she held her
place. Wishing the strange traveler to move away.

There was a flash of light and her body spasm as energy rippled
through it. The horse struggled away as she fell to her knees, her
vision swam. All the world was under the stream as she watched the
light flash again.

Tamon Vek let the fire burn. The warmth was welcome. It had been
a cold ride and a boring one. He looked over to the left, to where
the small town burned, somewhere past the horizon. The ground troops
always got the best spoils. It took training and risk to be a
point-rider. He had swept his quadrant, noting structures for
investigation by Kylee's troops, and searching for scouts.

These people had no scouts. They had been farmers. They had led
quiet lives and probably had never heard of the Stormriders. Tonight
they had paid for their ignorance. Some with their lives, all with
their freedom. He looked over to where his prize lay. She was awake,
he could hear her struggles. See her straining against the bonds that
held her.

He walked over to his hoverblade. Choosing a small
hand-shocker from the storage compartment he walked over to where she
lay. He worked his pants open and stroked himself as he watched her.
Her long red hair swept over the ground. She had heard his approach
and was trying to play dead. She was trembling though. His eyes
swept over her body, her form fitting riding clothes aided his
imagination. Full breasts, long muscled legs. She looked young,
perhaps fifteen years, Fifty seasons on the outside. Tamon liked
them young, liked the feel of trembling innocence beneath him.

He pulled her up by her hair. She yelped into the gag as he
lifted her into a sitting position. Her long legs were bound
together, arms similarly tied behind her back. He pulled the
blindfold from her eyes. They sparkled grayish-green in the
firelight. They widened when she saw him holding his erect cock. He
pulled the gag roughly from her mouth.

"Please, I..." She gout out before a gloved hand slapped her
sharply across the face.

Tamon's hands pulled at her hair and he shoved his cock roughly into
her warm mouth. She protested as he forced himself inside her. The
muffled noises were a symphony to him, he felt her teeth graze him
sharply and pulled free. He pressed the shocker against the tip of
her breast and pulled the trigger. She screamed as the energy flowed
into her body.

He brought the tip of the device to her chin and pulled her head
up until he could look directly into her tear streaked face. "Suck it
good, little slut. Or you will feel real pain." He dropped it
slowly, letting it trace its way down her neck and back to her soft
breast as he slid his cock back into her sweet young mouth.

He used one hand to guide her head as he fucked her warm, moist
mouth. The constant pressure of the shocker insured her reluctant
cooperation. She sucked passively, her tongue almost unmoving as she
let him thrust in and out of her mouth. It was enough for him. The
sight of his thick shaft disappearing into her widespread lips, her
obvious inexperience were enough and he soon shot a heave load of
sperm into her mouth.

She swallowed it and he slipped from her mouth. She fell back to
the ground coughing and sputtering. Tamon pushed himself back into
his pants and walked back to the hoverblade. It was a rare good night
for a point-rider. He planned to enjoy it slowly.
