What's going on here anyway?
I won't post anything that is in an unreadable format, nor anything
which I haven't read myself and wouldn't want to; I am trying to keep
all files shorter than 30K. I post story codes in almost all cases; the
story codes on the subject line are my own, not necessarily those (if any)
that the author used.
I will post relatively few incomplete stories, and only those where I
believe that the section stands by itself. These should be labeled "part"
on the subject line.
For the authors: I won't post any story unless I am fairly well
convinced that the author welcomes reposting. I keep the author's name and
the title that he gave the story close to the body of story.

Getting the most out of the reposts.
Sometimes, although not this week, I send some stories only to
alt.sex.stories itself. I try to say something like: "Not found on the
moderated group," for those stories.
The reason is that some authors have restricted the permissible
distribution of their stories to alt.sex.stories. In those cases I must
follow the author's wishes. In some of those cases, the limit was
established before alt.sex.stories.moderated existed, or when it was
moribund; it seems quite plausible that those authors would not mind
posting to the moderated group. In other cases, the restriction was quite
conscious.
In either case, I'll obey the authors' expressed wishes.
