Author Note: This story is based on a very short story 
I found in a buried newsgroup posting from years ago. I 
liked the story but thought it was too short and wanted 
to expand it and as a result this new story is born.

I am a bit reluctant to write this story down, to this

still not entirely sure how things ended up the way
