The "Grudgingly Good" rating indicates that I think the story is well written, but that I find some of the elements in the story so disturbing that if I were to review the story based solely on my personal tastes I would give it a "Not Good" rating. The "Not Good" rating indicates that I do not like the story. ***** REVIEWS ----- Rogue Review No. 183 - September 7, 1998 Ornery by Lost Girl F/M/M, Light B&D Length: 4,000 words SUMMARY Meg entertains Tommy, her lover, and Brian, a friend of his, after returning from a visit with her parents. COMMENTARY There is much more to this story than just sex. There is a beautifully written paragraph about a quarter of the way into the story in which Meg reflects on how she feels about her family. The thoughts are not happy ones, but I love the imagery. The characters all seem very real. JUDGMENT This is an excellent story. COMMENTARY This a short, sexy, arousing story. The focus of the story is sex, but the author takes time to set the scene, before letting the characters get down to business. JUDGMENT This is a very good story. COMMENTARY This story is hot. This is a wonderfully written story. It is about sex, but it is also about loving her husband and her condition. JUDGMENT This is an outstanding story. COMMENTARY This is a well written story. The sex is not the focus of the story, but it is what the story ends with. There are a lot of nice, little details in this story. I might have enjoyed this story more if the main character was less mysterious than she was. JUDGMENT This is a very good story. This time he feels some remorse. COMMENTARY The subject of this story is infidelity. Sam reflects on his feelings, but ultimately his cock just gets him into more trouble. I had a hard time believing that Sam truly felt bad about cheating on Lisa. The story is more arousing than thought provoking. JUDGMENT This is a very good story. COMMENTARY This is a nice little story. I like the build up to the sex. It was better than the sex, but I did find the sex arousing. JUDGMENT This is a very good story. COMMENTARY This story is both amusing and bizarre. I like the humor. There are some really bizarre twists near the end. I find this story arousing; the suspense kept me going, but I did not find the ending as satisfying as I hoped it would be. After reading this story I feel like I missed something somewhere. JUDGMENT This is a very good story. COMMENTARY This story does not involve non-consensual sex, although there is some violence in it. This is a good first effort. I prefer an author to show rather than tell me how their characters act and feel. I did find the sex arousing. The story probably could have been a little shorter. RATING This is a good story.
