Story Reviews The Perils of Supergirl V1.0 [B+] When posted: 9/27/97 Where posted: ASSM Author: Richard Marnet Address: c/- fast_fist@hotmail.com This bondage story was so extreme, it was terrifying...a bizarre journey into bodily transformations worthy of a Steven King novel or H.R. Giger fossilized cyborg painting. Go ahead, read it. I dare you. Although the title gives the impression it's about the fairly innocent adventures of Supergirl, the contents concern themselves more with the wicked doings of her arch-enemy, the Sorceress Zorelle. The two have been at war, and the story begins when Zorelle captures her rival with a kryptonite bondage suit. This story has similarities to both "Lori's London Vacation" (8/30/97 Reviews) and Watchman's "The Perils of Batgirl" (6/11/97 Reviews) in that the Sorceress's victims are subjected to devices, magical spells, and torture methods that encapsulate, shrink wrap, or embed them in various substances. They are also turned into voodoo dolls, wineskins, mannequins, and plaster statues posed in humiliating ways. To give you a taste of it, one poor girl is totally denuded, then lacquered in a spread- eagled position to be a clothing store mannequin with the stand shoved into her pussy, and a male prisoner fares no better: he's magically transformed into a black leather Barbie doll and plastered onto the evil Sorceress's high-heeled boot. I found it very disturbing, and keep in mind I don't disturb easily when it comes to sex stories. Worst of all, the longer the victims remain in this state the more mindless they grow. For hard-core bondage enthusiasts (I am not one, but I understand the mindset) there is nothing more wet and compelling than taking a person and turning them into a shiny dildo-like item (or turning *themselves* into such an item) ...an inanimate, but highly sexualized, object that is callously abused in various ways with no hope of rescue. I can't articulate it any better than that. If I were a feminist social commentator, I might say it all goes hand-in-hand with this society's tendency to objectify and control the female sex, as the story had a TG aspect in that the villainess turns male prisoners into centerfold women first before transforming them. Apart from the astounding extremes of imagination here, the story didn't quite work. It was more a listing of twisted comic-book scenarios than a plot that unfolds in a series of revelations; it didn't flow and carry you along like fiction should. For the horror/sex/bondage joyride it was meant to be, though, it packed a 20-megaton nuclear punch. The author promises more of this tale is coming and asks us for feedback. Here's mine. C'mon, you can't mean to leave the lacquered chick-on-a- stick in the dusty warehouse for eternity, can you? No one can remain a black leather pussy purse or human wine barrel forever...the universal laws of magic (energy creation and exchange) argue against it. I'm fully expecting them all to get free somehow and enact a Grand Guignol revenge on the villainess...a real slam-bang destruct-fest worthy of the most lurid Marvel comic. I mean it. NOTE: The unusual nature of the first story reviewed above has started me thinking about other unusual stories I've read, but didn't save or review (and DejaNews searches have come up with nothing): "Stacy and Me" (or something like that) written by Bigirl (not exactly sure of the name, but I know it wasn't posted under that name.) The story was about two teenage lesbians into body piercing and tattooing. Notable for featuring a pierced anus. This story appeared back in February or March. Another story (don't know the title) written by a guy about his girlfriend's secret fetish: she works as a waitress in a restaurant, and likes to fart on customer's desserts before serving them. A cannibalism luau story where a blonde bimbo in a bikini is wrapped in banana leaves and baked in a pit. A bi man who takes his bi female date to a gay bar, feeds her poppers, then straps her into one of those bondage box thingies where she's fucked all night by horny gays who think she's a guy. I have the first half of this, but missed the whole thing. If any one can help me find them, I'd appreciate it. Lucy Lawless plays Xena, and she has inspired a host of ASS stories based on her figure and the skimpy black leather corset she wears. This is one of them. The plot was pretty simple: while traveling on the road Xena and Gabrielle meet Xena's fave squeeze, massive muscleman Hercules. Together they go to visit Xena's family. Xena has a beautiful sister named Ariel who Gabrielle is attracted to, while Xena and Herc decide to act on their passion for each other. Both couples have hot sex. Although I don't watch the show too often, I could easily imagine the characters acting and emoting the way they do in the story, even though the setting was only minimally described. In a lot of ways the piece was reminiscent of Ann Douglas's style: a congenial read that leaves you with a good feeling at the end. There was a sly sense of humor at work here as well: "Hercules pulled his dick out of Xena, with much disapproval. Xena stared at him in disgust, as though he had just taken her favorite toy. He had." This author states is interested in writing a story with a female friend. How about it, girls? Until one day when he is kidnapped by aliens... This was short romp and it was pretty hilarious, with some clever puns. The story jumped right along like a caffeine addict and always surprised me...the perfect miscegenation between an extended-joke story and the rarer, but funnier, earthling abduction story where the aliens try to puzzle out the mysteries of human reproduction. The last line was a cincher, but I like this one better (and you will have to read the story to see exactly how funny it is): "His life had yielded shallow, unfulfilling relationships leaving a trail of disappointment, culminating in a screwing of cosmic proportions. It's fun to infer the sexual and moral quirks of the guest reviewers from the casual commentary they write. Lady Cyrrh is a bit of a voyeur. For this story, I've been inspired to think like a Celeste guest reviewer myself. Charles is a guy who loves spanking soft female bottoms. Not in saucy little slaps, but great big whalloping inch-high welt-raisers. He gets pissed off when his new girlfriend is late for dinner and starts issuing orders for her to strip and bend over. Well, soggy quiche is pretty irritating. The choice is a spanking or a breakup. She opts for breaking up, but later returns for her punishment out of sheer can't-live- without-you desire for him. So the author says. Lady Cyrrh says, the guy's a complete and utter jerk. Though the spanking/caning and B/D scenes were very well done, which is typical for spanko fiction, the vapid nature of the main characters was a big turn-off and so were the warped, selfish power games they played. Good B/D is about dominance and submission...an intricate dance of desire and repulsion, pain and pleasure. These guys seemed more exploitive of each other than interested in giving mutual enjoyment. This was the same problem that plagued the otherwise well- written Ferrous Juggler tales that appeared a while back. To be fair, the writing was good, and the little "scenes" were shaped well. I liked Part 4 the best, as it dealt with an innocent girl who signs herself over for a year of slavery to an exclusive club, and I thought perhaps we would be getting into a juicy new-slave-on-the-scene type of plot. The magic realism of the story comes in through the hypnosis-induced journeys through temple-filled jungles the characters make, and these parts were very lyrical and touched on Central American myth. There wasn't much sex, though there was a lot of innuendo. This didn't bother me, but if you're expecting tons of hot action, you might be disappointed. A recent college grad starts a job at a large company where he'll be working in under Elena, a beautiful Hispanic woman. She has a certain way with mind control, and hypnotizes him. She knows he has a secret yen for female domination, and offers him total slavehood of a sort he's never even dreamed about before...he will be her faithful employee and her new house servant. Elena has a similar arrangement with Lupe, her cousin and housekeeper. The two women have a sexual relationship as well, but Lupe wants to start a family...and Elena as the matriarch and the "Jaguar Princess" of the title intends her to marry the narrator. Mind control stories speak to the human desire to be sexual without the cares and consequences of real life intruding, in the same way rape fantasies may allow some people who've suffered through a sexually repressed upbringing to experience sexual pleasure under the guise of being "forced" to do so. As a mc story, this one spoke to those needs. The events that happen were depicted positively; that is positively as a fantasy in that the narrator finds fulfillment and pleasure in his subjugation and really does find the answer to his dreams.
