			A Master's Ring
			Chapter 7
			A Rich Man

--------Even the richest man, does not get everything he wants.----------------

I listened to the quiet drone of talk around me. The memories of the
last five days called for my attention as I took a contemplative sip of the
watered down punch.

Melisa on top of me. I'm inside her. Her head falls back as she uses
her hands to balance herself on my abdomen. She lifts her hips from mine, the
inches required to take me almost completely from her body. In a sigh of
pleasure, she lets herself drift down towards completion.

She's leaning forward at her hips, she uses her hands on the bed to
keep her balance, her feet on the floor serve to keep her in place. I'm behind
her; inside her. My hands are holding her just below the waist, during some
strokes I use my hands to bring her to me, during others I use them to hold her
in place as I drive forward deep into her.

We're in the shower. I've seen the rest of the house and am even more
impressed with whoever did the interior work. There is a hot tub and a large
stand up shower that you only see in movies. The water is cascading over my
shoulders as I use my weight to hold her body pinned against the wall and off
the floor. She's got her legs wrapped around my waist. I fold down to where I'm
sitting on my heels with her in my lap, the drop and sudden stop drive her over
the edge. She screams.
	"Hi David."
The voice took me away from my thoughts. I turned to look at the
speaker. I had recognized Rachel's voice so the smile is instinctively
plastered to my face.
"Hello, Rachel" I said to her.
"You're here with Melisa?" She asked as she turned her head to scan
the room for Melisa among the crowd of her sorority sisters, and their dates.
It was the most popular sorority on campus in almost every department so the
room had a significant number of people in it. Enough for a small blonde to be
lost in the crowd.
I made a study of Rachel as she looked for Melisa.
	"Yeah." I told her.
She's 5' 5", blonde hair the same color as Melisa's but seeming lighter
without the curls, blue eyes the color of summer morning. She's changed since
I met her my freshman year. She lost weight in the all the right places without
losing the almost muscular cut to her body.
She waved as Melisa popped out from a group of sisters to look over at
me. Melisa waved back, smiled smugly at me, and turned back to talk to the
sisters. The sisters were looking over at me and Rachel during the exchange.
I wasn't exactly the type of man a sister of the most popular sorority on
campus would date. I could see the sisters whispering questions to Melisa. I
leaned back against the table I was standing by.
"You two are going out now?" she stated questioningly while looking
at me with those eyes.
	I shrugged.
Looking over at Melisa's back, I said "I'm not really sure you could
call it dating."
	"What would you call it?"
"I don't know we haven't really talked about it. It just started last
week, anyway." I told her.
"She sure acts and talks like you two are going out." she said looking
back towards Melisa.
I waited until she had turned back to look at me. I lookrf into her
eyes and said "Then I guess we are, huh."
	She smiled at me.
"How do you like the formal?" she asked making conversation.
"Well, it's not exactly my style." I told her smiling as I adjusted the
jacket of the suit I had been unceremoniously shoved into by Sheryl.
She laughed probably remembering my stated preference for old jeans
and colorful sweatshirts.
"Other than the suit." she asked reaching over to pat my forearm.
	I looked around the room.
"Uh, it's not exactly my style."
	She scanned the room again.
	She nodded back at me.
"How is the semester going for you?" she asked me seriously.
"With only next week left, I'm actually in pretty good shape."
She tilted her head to the side, smiling she said "You would be, Mr.
Ambitious."
I laughed with her. "I told you Rachel. Scheduling, Scheduling."
"Oh yeah, and how many times have you taken Dr. Petrov?" she asked
innocently.
	"Not enough." I said sincerely.
	She slapped my arm.
"Hey, 2 classes, two A's. I should have her twice next year. I'm a
happy man."
"Yeah, and the rest of us are stuck while you take the same classes
over and over again with professors that think you're the only real student
in their class."
"Come on, Rachel. I just show them I appreciate what they have to
teach."
	She nodded sarcasticly.
"Plus you have to admit Petrov is damn good looking for a professor."
"Uh huh, so you get the added bonus of kissing up to a beautiful woman
at the same time you're kissing up to a professor."
I yielded the floor to her with a nod of my head.
"But then again Rachel, I didn't see you complaining last summer when
we were in the Philosophy class together."
She blushed; coloring her pretty California blonde face, the blush
brought out the slight asian slant to her eyes that I found exotic.
I tried to hold in the laughter. We had taken a class at the same
time last summer taught by one of the more attractive graduate students the
school used to teach those classes. The class had about a 3/1 female to male
ratio; obscene, especially considering the number of requirements it could be
used to satisfy.
	"How did you do anyway?"
"I got a B+" she told me brightly.
	"Really?"
"Yeah, I never thanked you, did I?" she leaned towards me putting her
hand on my shoulder.
"It's okay, Rachel. You made me study."
"I know but you didn't have to tutor me for six weeks. Not a lot of
people would have done it."
	I smiled uncomfortably.
"Especially with such patience." she laughed at herself.
	"It wasn't that bad."
She laughed harder, "No, it wasn't that bad once you converted
propositional logic into english."
"Hey, you could've gone to the professor for help, I'm sure."
"Oh no, he had his eyes on the brunette."
	We broke down laughing.
	"We shouldn't Rachel."
	"We should, David."
"Come on, she probably got the class a ten point curve all on her own."
	She started laughing harder.
When we caught our breath, we both started looking around the room
again.
"How are you doing this semester?" I asked her.
"Okay, I mean the change of majors hurt me."
I nodded. We had talked about her changing over to exercise science
after two years of work towards a classics major.
"How did you parents take it?"
"My mom thought it sucked, pretty much. My dad was all to happy to get
me into a real major."
"Happy enough to foot another year?" I asked seriously.
	She nodded slowly.
	"Was it bad?"
"Not really, just taking the basic science requirements in one year
isn't made for sanity."
"Bio and chem in the same semester, huh."
	She nodded.
"I'm okay though. I mean my GPA dropped last semester but I passed
everything."
	I nodded.
	"And now?"
She looked at me seriously and shrugged. "I'm done with the reqs this
semester so I start two years of the classes for the major. I took a couple
of the lower classes this year and they saved my grades."
	"Liked it?"
	"Yeap."
	"Hey, you two."
I turned to look at Melisa. She had approached us while Rachel got into
the conversation of her academic year. Melisa walked up to my side and laced
her arm through mine. She reached up to give me a quick kiss on the lips. I
smiled down at her.
I felt my stomach clench but relaxed.
The past is always the past.
"You didn't come here alone did you, Rachel?" Melisa asked concerned.
Rachel looked down at the floor for a second, before she admitted she
had.
	"Michael?" Melisa asked.
	Rachel just shrugged.
"I'm sorry, babe." Melisa told her releasing my arm to take Rachel's
hands in her own.
I leaned back against the table again, steeped in my own silence.
	"What happened?" Melisa asked.
"He did it again." Rachel replied simply looking a little lost.
	I waited.
Melisa nodded. I could see her squeezing Rachel's hands in support.
I looked between the two of them, obviously lost.
Melisa looked at Rachel, tilting her head questioningly.
I saw Rachel give a small nod.
"Michael is .. well, was Rachel's boyfriend." Melisa explained watching
me.
	I nodded slowly.
"He cheated on her a couple of months ago." she continued. I looked
down to see Rachel's hand whiten as she squeezed Melisa's hands tightly. I
raised an eyebrow at Melisa.
"He did it again." she finished.
I nodded. I held my tongue between teeth holding back a scathing
opinion of some men's general stupidity.
"I'm sorry, Rache." I looked at her.
	"My fault."
I laughed, "I guess I didn't do all that good a job in explaining
formal logic to you."
	Melisa started giggling.
Pretty soon it infected Rachel, and myself.
Out of the corner of my eye I could see other people beginning to look
over at us.
There was an uncomfortable silence, before Melisa and Rachel started a
conversation about the formal and who had come with whom.
I watched them both comparing, contrasting, admiring.
Rachel had the stereotypical California blonde looks with some added
muscle. Melisa was an east coast blonde. Rachel was about 4 inches taller
than Melisa and definitely bigger overall. Rachel had started working out
her freshman year. We had talked a few times about her regimen, she had an
athletic build so it was easy for her to pack muscle. Early on, she had been
worried about the effect of working out would have on her body. It had taken
a few months to convince her it wouldn't be that bad. She still had a lot of
size but she wasn't overly muscular. I had seen her running a few times in
shorts during the summer and while she had big thighs for a woman it was by no
means unattractive. In contrast, Melisa was more doll-like, not painfully thin
but small just the same. Rachel gave off an aura of healthy athleticism, while
Melisa stood out as very pretty even in ocean of women. Their hair colors were
almost identical shades of blonde, but Melisa's wavy curls gave it a darker
look. Melisa's eyes were that cutting shade of green, while Rachel's were
a diluted morning sky. I had found both attractive when I saw them, and
intelligent within seconds of actually meeting them.
They both turned to look at me at the same time.
"So what do you think, David?"
My eyes widened as Melisa broke my admiring study of both of them.
They both smiled at me. Both had at different times caught me concentrating
on them in that fashion. Melisa had told me; it was flattering only because
I had never tried anything with either one of them beyond honest admiration.
	"hmm." I said.
	Melisa took pity.
"On Rachel moving in with us in September."
I looked at Rachel, and back at Melisa.
I had thought Melisa would be moving into the house but I hadn't really
asked. I kept quiet for a long moment.
"Uh," Rachel said uncomfortably, "I'm sorry, David. Melisa suggested
it. It's okay if you don't like the idea."
"Noo." I told her reaching to touch her arm. "It's not that, I mean,
I haven't even moved in yet. Honestly, I mean I would think Sheryl should have
more to say about it than I would." I looked at Melisa.
"She doesn't mind." Melisa said. She turned to look at Rachel
explaining, "I asked her last week when you told me you didn't want to live
in the house or the dorms anymore."
Rachel nodded and asked "Is it gonna be okay with her? I'm gonna leave
right after finals and I won't be here 'til August. I'd love to have a place
to live for right when I get back."
I shrugged. I had questions about the whole situation but they were
for Melisa.
"It's okay with me." Melisa said, "Sheryl said okay, so there's only
you, David. I mean there's like 4 singles and a double upstairs. Sheryl has a
single upstairs, you have a single downstairs." She turned to Rachel "We could
either get the singles if we find people to take the double, or double up."
"How's the rent?" Rachel asked quietly.
	Melisa looked at me.
"Hey, you brought it up." I told her.
	"Yeah, but it's your place."
	"It's what?!"
	Melisa nodded.
"Oh no, babe. You said Sheryl's place."
She took my left hand in her hand.
"Uh, babe." She said while she tapped my ring finger on the inside
of my hand with her own finger.
"What the fuck does that have to do with it?" I asked.
"Your grandfathers, David, don't go through any of your siblings when
they have you to do things with, remember. Responsibility."
I looked at Rachel she was looking at us curiously.
I looked at Melisa "You, my grandfathers and I have to sit down
sometime soon and discuss things people need to know."
Melisa smiled at Rachel with that smile women give each other that
says they know more than guys. Rachel smiled it right back at her. They
both turned to look at me. I ignored both looks to plunge ahead in something
I needed to know.
"Should I know anything about mortgage, etc. Melisa?" I asked her.
"No, your grandfathers took care of that. Your accountant will mail
you the copies of the bills and checks mailed out in your name.?" She told me
smiling.
	"My accountant?" I said.
"You didn't know about all of this David?" Rachel asked me, looking
between Melisa and myself more curious now.
"I was an orphan." I told her. "I just found some of my family. They
seem to be trying to make up for lost time via money." I looked at Melisa
pointedly.
She raised a questioning eyebrow at me.
"Well, since so much of my life has been arranged by them, maybe
they should decide." I said.
Melisa shook her head, "They'd never do that. The house is yours
until you don't need it anymore."
	"Completely mine?"
"Yeah" Melisa replied as if I were dense.
"So let me get this straight. It's my house, I get to decide rent etc."
	Melisa sighed.
"Sheryl's been living there for free, right?" I asked.
Melisa nodded; Rachel looked even more confused.
I stared around the room, different parts of me were struggling with
each other. What I wanted, and what I knew better than.
I looked at Rachel then at Melisa. "Well, why break a trend. Since it's
my house and I don't plan to make Melisa pay rent." I turned to look back at
Rachel, "Don't worry about rent Rachel. Move in anytime you want."
	Rachel looked at me surprised.
I shrugged, "Hey, if my family is going to be generous about all of
this, why shouldn't I?"
	"David, I couldn't."
I looked at her, "Why not? The house seems to be paid for already. It's
not like I'm gonna live in every room."
"Come on, Rachel. We can double up. It's a HUGE double." Melisa said
excited now by the idea.
I watched Melisa curiously. I could see a developing pattern here, but
didn't quite know what she was doing.
Rachel continued to argue, but Melisa started the process of bowling
her over. I had seen this before, I started watching the crowd again. Melisa
would win in the end.
The pattern was begin to solidify. Melisa, at least, was becoming
predictable in some things concerning me. I wondered if I had let the part of
me that wanted win over the the part that knew better just out of curiosity.
Looking at both women's argument wind down, I smiled at myself.
	Probably not.
"Let me think about it, okay."
"Come on, Rachel. It's no big deal." Melisa cajoled.
Rachel began to look more and more uncomfortable.
"How about we talk about it later, okay?" Melisa finished looking
at me.
I shrugged. Rachel relaxed. I watched them both.
	"Dance?" Melisa said to me.
	I shrugged again.
The music had slowly gotten slower as the formal wound down. I had
seen a few people begin to filter out.
	I took Melisa's hand.
"I'll see you later, Rache." I said walking Melisa to small dance
area.
"Call me." Melisa over her shoulder.
	"David"
I turned to look at Rachel.
She nodded towards Melisa and I, "Does this mean I no longer have a
faithful worshiper." She smiled widely at me.
	I looked at her.
"What does mortal love have to do with loving a goddess, Rachel?" I
watched her eyes widen in surprise, turned and pulled Melisa along in my wake.
I turned on the dance floor to face her. She stepped into me. She
looked at me.
	"Love?"
I encircled her waist with my arms as she reached to circle her arms
around my neck. I pulled closer to my body.
	I looked down at her.
	She stared back at me.

She's on her knees on my bed, her forehead pressed into bed, her hands
are clutching desperately at the sheets. I'm moving lazily in and out of her
in long extended strokes. Each stroke takes her closer to the edge, but not
far enough to push her over. Each time I feel her get too close, I stop. She
struggles to push back into me, but my hands holding her ass-cheeks keep her
in place.

This morning, I was on top of her. Kissing her. Building towards a
desperate drive to cumming inside her, not yet close to the peak. She was
kissing back, enjoying a moment when I was closer to the edge than her. Her
hands trying to stimulate me over the top, to lose control.
	I can't, I won't.
A long moment later, she arches her back sinking me deep inside her.

	We fall together.
