The Point: Intro (no sex) by this guy (thisguy.1066@gmail.com) Summary: introduction to "The Point" series of stories Many decades ago, "the point" had been a nice "blue collar" neighborhood. The fact that it was almost completely cut-off from the rest of the city (steel-mill to the south, river to the north and west, ramp where the highway climbed up to the bridge, before crossing the river to the east) was a contributing factor to its decline. When the steel-mill closed (and abandoned) "the point" began devolving into a den of criminal activities: drugs, prostitution, and the like. The few "legitimate" businesses were either fronts for some other illegal activity, or serviced the community of criminals. Things you and I take for granted: schools, police, taxes, etc. no longer exist in "the point." Making it heaven for some and hell for others... Despite the lack of law in "the point" there is quite a great deal of order, provided by the "tough guys" working for the handful of "local businessmen:" pimps, child pornographers, drug dealers, etc. All that said: these stories aren't what I would call "nice." They include things society frowns upon: prostitution, child pornography, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, drug use, rape (we won't "see" it happen), violence (we won't "see" it happen), and other less unpleasant and illegal things. So if any of these things aren't you cup of tea, you might want to avoid these stories...
