 Cute Little Smoker, Ad for "Smokini" (no sex, humor)

   Summary: Satirical ad from a fictional magazine that encourages youth
smoking.



   AD FOR "SMOKINI"

   The top half of the full page ad is comprised of two pictures.  Both
photos are similar in that they each show a teenage girl wearing a bikini
on a beach.

   In the left photo, the girl has a look of disgust on her face as she is
picking up a pack of cigarettes which is visible wet.  Across the top of
the image words in a simple back font proclaim "MY CIGARETTES GOT WET"

   In the right photo, the girl has a look of confusion and frustration on
her face as she is rooting through her beach-bag.  Across the top of the
image words in a simple black font proclaim "SOMEBODY TOOK MY CIGARETTES"

   A one inch tall strip of crimson red crossed the full width of the page
emblazoned with more text, this time in a large bold yellow, reading "NO
MORE, THANKS TO SMOKINI"

   The remainder of the page is filled with a single large picture of a
beach.  There are three girls wearing black two-piece swimsuits which are
identical: they have the appearance of fairly conventional bikini's, except
for the fact that there is a small pouch, a little more than twice the
volume of a pack of cigarettes, hanging down from the cord that wraps
around the girls' sides under their arms.  The youngest, looking to be
about seven, is sitting on the sand near the water's edge with a sandcastle
in front of her and a lit cigarette between the index and middle fingers of
her right hand; the two other girls are in the water.  The older of the
two, who looks to be late teens, is standing in water that is about
waist-deep, her skin and hair shimmering in the sun with a degree of
wetness that could only have come from having been completely underwater
very recently, and yet she has a lit cigarette between her lips.  The third
girl, who looks to be early teens, is sitting in water that can't be more
than six or seven inches deep, using her left hand se is pulling a pack of
cigarettes out of the little pouch under her right arm.
Across the bottom of the page there are more words "THE SMOKINI'S TWO
WATER-TIGHT POUCHES CONTAINING PATTENTED SHAM-NOW TECHNOLOGY WILL KEEP YOUR
CIGARETTES COMPLETELY DRY AND ON YOU AT ALL TIMES" on the following line in
smaller type more text reads "SMOKINI IS AVAILABLE IN ALL SIZES FROM
TODDLER TO GARGANTUNIN"
