 Bill, Janis and Jerry moved into Doris' old house officially about a month
and a half later.  They lived there though during the month and half.  From
the time the meeting with John and Doris the three of them and the kids
practically never missed a day except when Bill and Jerry were on duty, but
Janis and the kids enjoyed the neighbors that came over.  They were added
to the rotation schedule on the first day that they met the people of the
street and had a different family each evening.  For the most part Bill and
Jerry's schedule didn't interfere with their duties.  Just once in a while,

   Bill got so that he would go get the paper in the morning and not bother
wearing any clothes to go outside.  He had started to fit in with the rest
of the group.  Then one day while the children were playing in the street
naked a helicopter passed over and saw them all naked.  The pilot reported
seeing the kids to the police and they came out to check on the report.  It
took them about a day though in order to determine where the street was. 
The station was abuzz with all the talk about the kids playing in the
street.  Bill and Jerry go to their Captain and say that the street is
close to where they live and that they'd check the story out and see if
it's true.  The Captain tells them to go ahead.

   They go home and tell all the residents that they need to cool it for
awhile that they have been reported and will probably be watched for
awhile. The next day they report to the Captain that they checked and
didn't see a thing and talked to some of the residents and nobody saw
anything or heard anything unusual in the street.  The Captain says, "It
was probably just a hoax, how the hell could a bunch of kids be playing in
the street naked and none of the resident not see them or know about it. 
That's ridiculous.  About a month later as Bill and Jerry were coming home
they see a guy outside their gate with a video camera on a pole about 8
foot long and had it up over the top.  of the gate and video taping the
street.

   They stop and ask him just what he thinks he's doing and he tells them
that he's going to prove that kids was playing naked on the street.  They
arrest him for invasion of privacy and take him to jail.  He tells the
Captain to look at the video and he does.  The Captain says, "I don't see a
thing except a vacant street.  You had better forget about this fixation of
yours.  If you're brought in here again, I'll see that your prosecuted for

   Two months later, a helicopter again passes over and this time the pilot
has a photographer filming the street.  After they get back, the
photographer, Gene, wants to know what is the matter with the street.  He

myself." The pilot says, "I'm going to prove that something is going on, on
that street.  They go to the Captain's office and the pilot says, " I have

   Captain says, "That's it, Your under arrest, and has him booked for the
invasion of Privacy.  He shouts, ask Gene there what he saw.  Gene says
that he didn't see anything, just an empty street except for a man coming
out and getting his paper.  Later after he leaves the police station he
goes to the street and pushes the buzzer.  and John answers and wants to
know who it is.  Gene tells him what happened and would like to talk to
them.  John pushes a button and a horn sounds and all the kids hurry to
their own houses.  Doris looks outside and says, that it's all clear.  John
pushes another button and it opens a small door and lets Gene in.  John and
Doris put on their robes and go outside and Gene comes down the street to
them.

   They go into the house and Gene says, "I'm not sure what is going on, on
this street but I have an idea.  This helicopter hires me to come with him
and fly over this street and video tape what is going on on the street.  I
did and saw all the kids playing out in the street naked and it looked
interesting to me.  While he wasn't looking I switched tapes and shot the
street where there wasn't any kids and by that time they had all gotten
under cover and I filmed the rest of the street." John says, "What do you
think is going on here on the street?" Gene says, "A couple of years ago I
read a story about a street that all the residents didn't wear any clothes
