The freeway was clogged like usual as Hank pulled his SUV off the ramp and turned right toward the county hospital. The sun glared in his eyes as he reached out pulling the visor down. He saw the sign for the hospital ahead and got in the left lane. His hands felt clammy as he gripped the steering wheel making his way into the hospital parking lot. He pulled forward and reached out and grabbed a parking ticket. His wheels spun as he pulled around the corner and made his way to the seventh floor of the parking garage. He quickly made his way to the elevator and spoke to a receptionist who pointed in a direction for him to go. Hank entered the intensive care unit and stopped at the desk. He spoke to a nurse who directed him to a waiting area down the hall. Hank was nervous as he adjusted his tie and stepped through the doorway. Hank saw a television on in the corner and looked around the large room until he saw familiar faces grouped together back in a corner of the waiting room. Hank walked back and saw Mark seated next to his daughter Shelly. Mark stood up and shook Hank's hand. "I got here as quick as I heard the news. How are things looking right now?" Mark sighed. "We were scared there for a while. She finally came out of the coma early this morning and we spoke for a few minutes until they told me I had to leave." Hank looked down at Mark's daughter and leaned down to give her a hug. "I'm sure everything is going to be fine." Shelly smiled back and wiped a tear from her eye. Hank looked down the row of chairs and saw Tracy next to Shelly and another blonde woman that Hank didn't know speaking to Tracy. Hank sat down across from them and crossed his legs. He looked over at Mark who had sat back down in his seat and was holding his daughters hand. He grabbed a magazine and started to glance through the pages. A nurse walked in a few minutes later and whispered in Mark's ear. Hank saw Mark follow her out of the room and wondered what was going on. The nurse stopped in the hallway and waited for Mark. "She's been asking for you for the past half hour. We needed to change her IV before we bought you in to see her." The nurse walked her down to the room and turned and smiled at Mark. "She's still a little groggy and in shook so it's best not to say anything that might startle her." Mark nodded his head as he walked into the room. He walked toward the bed and stopped and smiled when he saw her looking his way. Faith reached out for his hand. "How are you feeling?" "I really feel tired. I asked them if I could see you a while ago but they were doing all this stuff." It's alright. I'm here now. Try not to worry about anything. The doctor told me you were going to be fine." Faith laughed as she squeezed Mark's hand. "Honey, I had this crazy dream I need to tell you about." Mark smiled as he replied. "Don't worry about it now. Everything is going to be fine and back to normal in a few weeks." Faith still gripped his hand saying. "No. This was really crazy. I dreamed that we got divorced and I got married to Hank and had a set of twins." Faith laughed as she finished that sentence than asked curiously. "It was all a dream wasn't it?" Mark reached out and held her hand with his other hand as well and leaned down and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "You just had a bad dream is all? Try not to think about it." "It felt so real and everything. We had this big house at the each and you got married to Tracy and had a kid." Mark laughed. "I had a vasectomy, you forgot?" "Everything was so real. It felt like it all happened." Faith reached down under the blanket with her other hand and felt around her belly. "I'm not pregnant I'm I?" Mark laughed again. "Not as far as I remember unless you're not telling me something." Faith touched her forehead than looked back at Mark and asked. "Is anyone here with you?" "Shelly got here a couple days ago. Tracy came over this morning and Hank just arrived from New York. Plus your old friend April flew in and got here late last night." Faith looked shocked and surprised when she heard about her friend April being there. "I haven't saw April in years. We talk on the phone all the time." Faith stopped and hesitated for a moment. "Actually, April was in my dream too!" Mark smiled back. "You`ll have to tell me all about it someday." Faith starred at Mark again than asked. "Has April met Hank yet?" "They're sitting out in the waiting room but I didn't introduce them yet." Faith looked toward the window for a moment than back at Mark. "The last thing I remember in my dream was that Hank just fucked April and she told me she wasn't on the pill." Mark laughed and replied. "Where did I hear that before?" Faith giggled and added. "I was going to fix her up with Hank's brother." Mark laughed a little harder and said. "Doesn't she have a husband and two kids back home?" Faith smiled as she replied. "Your right, I must have really been out good for a while." Mark leaned over and gave her another kiss. "Don't think about all that right now. April came to stay with us for a while until you get back on your feet." Faith smiled. "She really is a good friend, isn't she?" Mark just smiled back as Faith drifted back to sleep.
