But was getting no traction on his platform of shutting down the club. He just had no proof that anything bad was happening there. The chief had tried to get another undercover cop into the club, but they never even made it past the front door. So he settle for having people watch the club during business hours from outside, and having members and even the parents of the children, stopped as they were arriving at the club. Harassing them, in an attempt to get them to talk about the goings on in the club. They just ignored the questions and were eventually let go and aloud into it. Meanwhile, the other candidates, never even mentioned the club, and don't even consider answering any questions about it. They just move on to someone else question if it's brought up. He was very much aware of Grey's time spent at the club and tried daily to get him to spill the goods on it. Grey merely replied, "It's a social club. The kids even have their own area that no members are allowed in. It is all perfectly innocent", never changing his story. Grey had since found out that he was not the first member of the police force to join the ranks in the club, two other fellow officers were also members in good standing and both when questioned separately by the chief. But they told the same story as Grey. It was just an innocent social club the kids were they volunteer to be servers and busboys for the members. The chief was getting a lot of pressure to back off and reluctantly was giving in, too many high ranking people in the town were members of the club. Grey was now a regular fixture at the club. Showing up on most evenings for nothing more than a beer and companionship with people he felt comfortable with. On occasion he might disappear into the back of the club with one child or another for an hour or so of heavy breathing. After a few weeks at the club he was becoming a favorite of the children there and always had his pick of whom ever he might say, `yes', to. His favorite indeed his love was given to only one of them though. He was long since over the jealousy of watching Kim lead another member upstairs. He knew that like him Kim had only given her heart to one of them and indeed when they were both in the club at the same time the majority of their time was spent with each other. He had even been invited to the home of her parents with Mike's permission. Where, he had been warmly received and indeed accepted as one of the family. They were now spending time together just the two of them a day or two of the week outside of the club and their relationship was growing stronger all of the time. It had come as a bit of a shock to him when Kim had announced that she had been invited to go to the school dance by a boy in her grade and she had accepted his invitation. But realizing that she needed the real life experiences that only events like these could give her he had accepted the announcement with a smile on his face wanting only the best life possible for her. The evening of the dance Grey went to the club. As he did most evenings now. To keep Kim off his mind, he drowned his sorrow in three to four beautiful girls and even a few boys. None of which seemed to minded that he was thinking of her. One girl even put her hair up like Kim does. All this in hope of getting his mind off her for a few minutes. It was later that night, at home. That grey recieved a phone call from Mike needing him at the club right away. Worried now, Grey got dressed jumped in his car and headed for the club.
