Note: This story was dynamically reformatted for online reading convenience. This is an oral response by Doctor David Marcus to the Director's request for an update on patient 9-3-Zero. I want it noting for the record that I am aware of the request for transportation to Britain made by U.N.I.T. 9-3-Zero was presented to this facility after arrest and initial assessment. I have been the sole contact with him since his preventative incarceration. He is a classic example of multiple-personality disorder although perhaps multiplying would be a more appropriate term. Between bouts of silence and screaming he counts in three's, sometimes simply addition but mostly multiplication. This behaviour continues during REM sleep and in fact gains a new urgency when this state is achieved. I have recently made some progress with a combination of prolonged therapy and medication. I feel confident that I will be able to make extended contact with the central personality in a matter of a few days, weakening the persona of "the 3" and reuniting him with the core personality that he would have had since childhood. It is this therapist's opinion that a move to Britain would be the worst possible decision for 9-3-Zero, especially under military escort. My friend in U.N.I.T, Dr Jones, has confirmed to me that his ultimate destination will be the Welsh institute. From what I have been able to ascertain about that institution I cannot see how it can provide the level of care required by 9-3-Zero. I further protest that U.N.I.T is attempting to take an Australian civilian out of the country without charges or extradition proceedings. This man is in need of therapy, not interrogation. I consider the use of U.N.I.T personnel wholly inappropriate and I sincerely urge the Director to reject their request.
