DISCLAIMERS AND DISTRIBUTION RIGHTS: I'm going to collect all of my
flashes and my other very short stories into one file and copyleft
them as soon as I have enough of them to make it worth the while.
Until then, you may distribute this freely by any electronic means
whatsoever.

NOTE: This was originally written as a submission to Desdmona's 2003
Erotic Flash Fiction contest (http://www.desdmona.com/contest.asp).
It didn't win anything--please send me feedback so that I can improve
my writing.

One morning, I was lying on a deserted beach with my legs half in the
water and open to the ocean, eyes closed and feeling lazily aroused by
the warmth of the sun and the flowing of the sand underneath me, and a
wave crashed in and covered my entire body. Something big and cool and
hard penetrated me and thrusted, and some other things lapped at my
breasts and neck and everywhere else that felt good. I shifted around and
thrusted in union with the cool eddies and watery erection that were
getting me hotter and hotter. After a minute or two of this, I would have
come if I hadn't been so close to drowning that my chest felt like it was
about to explode. Right when I began to pass out, the wave stiffened and
quivered, and after one last thrust I felt it spurt something warm inside
of me. The wave receded, and I shook and screamed through one of the most
intense orgasms of my life. As I lay on the beach panting, I saw a clear
wave, a foot or so taller than the rest, heading out towards the ocean. A
few weeks later I found out that I was pregnant. There was no chance that
the father could have been anything other than whatever had ravished me
that morning--lying on a remote beach all day and every day doesn't give
you many opportunities to meet men. Right now, I'm sitting in my bathtub
with my legs open. I've been in labor for several hours. I wonder what I
will give birth to and what it will do to me when it comes out.

EXTRA ADDED BONUS: All entries to Desdmona's contest had to be less than
300 words. The first version of this story was 310+ words long, and I
like
it better than the one that I sent in to her. Here it is:

I spent most of this summer lying sprawled out on the edge of a deserted
beach with my legs open towards the ocean, feeling the waves wash all
over me. I would lie there until the tide came in, and then I would go
home. But things changed the morning the tide came early. I was lying
back, eyes closed and feeling lazily aroused by the warmth of the sun and
the flowing of the sand underneath me, and a wave crashed in and covered
my entire body. Something big and cool and hard penetrated me and
thrusted, and some other things lapped at my breasts and neck and
