While site-seeing in Italy with her senior high school ambassador program group, wide-eyed Zoey lagged behind for just a minute to watch the musical street performers. It was this moment of noisy distraction the men had been waiting for. By the time the local Polizia organized a search she had already been sedated and whisked to neighboring Austria. By the time they concluded that Zoey was no longer in Italy, she already had her own room in the broken apartment building, been stripped naked, blindfolded, gagged, bound to a bed and mainlined heroin. An hour later the pretty American teen had already been used by the first of hundreds of paying customers.
