Wake up daughters." "Why are we in bed with all our clothes on? And black clothes? Oh, I remember. We're to help you rescue some hostages tonight." "That's right, Honey. It's time for us to go. You'll be in a truck with me, Jane and Lacey will be in another truck with Captain McGregor." "We're in the G-O-O-D with all its guns. Are there missiles on top?" "Yes, Honey. This is truck we drove from California." "Does it take long to get where were going?" "Not long, Sweetie. We're just driving slowly so the electric vehicles can get there first and get set up for their part of the rescue." "Do they already know where the hostages are, Daddy?" "Most of them. The person that you two scared with mind hugs told us a lot about their base, but he didn't know everything. We'll point out the buildings to you and you'll help us determine which people are hostages and which are bad guys." "Won't that be easy? The bad guys have guns and the hostages don't?" "I wish it was that easy, Sarah. They could have a hostage holding a big gun with no bullets in it, while the guard sits on the floor with a loaded pistol hidden under his shirt." "We have to see 'who' the people are, not just how they look?" "Very good, smart girl. I'm glad I have the two of you here to help me." "Which buildings and which rooms, Daddy?" "See the IR scanner here? We aim it at each building and you look for the crosshairs markers on the windows." "I'll do the upstairs, Molly. You do the downstairs." "The first room downstairs has four men with guns sitting around a table with cards on it. The next room has 10 people sitting on the floor - some are kids. There's a man with a big gun standing by the door. He seems scared and keeps looking at the closet." "Work together, girls. Who or what is in the closet?" "A man and a little girl. He has a gun to her head. The door is open just a little so he can watch the man with the big gun. The girl is looking at him too; he's her Daddy - you're right, Daddy - the gun has no bullets." "Can you hug the man in the closet just a little? Slowly make it harder until he rubs his head. When the gun isn't pointed at the girl anymore, both of you squeeze as hard as you can." "He's acting odd. Swaying like he was drunk. The gun is pointed up in the air. Now, Molly! He's falling. The man with the big gun heard his daughter running and he caught the other man before he dropped his gun and fell on the floor. He's tied up now and the closet is closed. How much longer do we hold him, Poppy?" "You can let him go now. We'll move to the other rooms and do the same things - check for a hostage in the place of a guard, take out the real guard, move to the next room. Ian, did your girls hear all that?" "Yes, and they're already at work. How will we handle the guards in the outer rooms?" "As Sarah and Molly handled the interrogation, except the pain will happen to two of the men there. They'll be yelling about their heads hurting and 'make it stop'. Good confusion for the extraction teams to work through." "Girls, can you contact an adult in any hostage group?" "No, Daddy," "No, Poppy." "Do you think you can send a 'suggestion' via phone?" "We can try." "OK, here's a phone for each of you and a list of numbers. Dial each number. If it's a hostage, 'suggest' that they stay away from the door until the rescue party arrives. If it's a bad guy, make him unconscious." "Are your girls with us, Ian?" "Dialing now." "All my numbers are done, Daddy." "Mine, too." "My girls are through calling, George." "Extraction teams - most of your opposition has been neutralized. You have about 10 minutes before they start waking up. Get the hostages in the marked rooms. We think there are about 50. Hostages in rooms 13, 26, and 41 have weapons taken from their captors. They will surrender the weapons when asked, so don't shoot one of the good guys. There are guards in disguise in rooms 17, 19, and 38. They are unconscious at the moment, so leave them in place. Move out!" "Daddy, is there someone who can get blankets and teddy bears for the kids?" "Yes, Honey. Your good idea is now part of the standard procedure manual for hostage rescue. Colonel Mason will see that every kid gets a blanket and a bear." "My idea is in a military manual? But I'm just a kid." "Which means that you know what makes a kid feel safe. Your idea was adopted because it was good, not because of who came up with it. People who contribute to the manual are listed as advisors. 'Molly Wilson' is now in the list of advisors in the back of the manual." "You're famous, Molly!" "Well, she's famous in a very small group of people. We still have communications with the other Survival Buildings, so we've sent all that we've learned to them. They're doing the same for us." "Are the mind hugs in a manual?" "They will be after tonight, Sarah. Do you want to be listed as Sarah or Molly? And what's your last name?" "You better list me as Sarah. Having two people named 'Molly Wilson' would be confusing." "Your last name is Wilson too? Daddy, were we already family since we had the same last name?" "Having the same last name doesn't mean we're related. Lots of people with the same name aren't related at all." "Can we find out?" "In the morning, after breakfast, we can check the family tree research your Daddy did and see if you have any family in or around North Carolina." "Why not when we get back home?" "It's way past your bedtime and I'm hoping that you two stay awake long enough to walk to the elevator and then to our quarters because I'm too tired to carry both of you." Too late - Molly's already asleep. "Why are all the street lights and traffic lights off, Poppy? We have lights at the Survival Building." "Remember I said that even trains had stopped running? The electric power for this area is generated by a plant that burns coal. When the trains stopped running, the plant only had enough coal for a few days. Now there's no electricity in the city. The Survival Building has its own power. It comes from a nuclear power plant that's buried beneath the building and doesn't need any outside air to operate." Even Sarah's curiosity couldn't keep her awake - guess I'll have to answer that question again in the morning. "Colonel Wilson?" "Yes, Sergeant?" "Colonel Mason sent me for bedtime carry, sir. He said you would have two kids asleep in your truck." "He was right, Sergeant. I have this one. Can you get the other one?" "Yes sir. Where are we going?" "Level 9." "Yes sir." "Which bed, sir?" "Both girls on this one. I'll crash on the other one. Thank you, Sergeant." "No, thank you sir. I've never had the opportunity of doing something for a hero." "Hero, Sergeant?" "Your girls rescued both my nieces tonight. They'll always be Medal of Honor winners in my book." "Why weren't you there to meet your nieces?" "My brother was there waiting for them, sir." "I think Molly and Sarah would like to meet your nieces." "Which one is Molly, sir?" "The dark-haired one." "Colonel Mason told me that she suggested they give the kids blankets and bears. Suzy is 4 and was too scared to talk until she got the blanket and bear. Your daughter is a genius." "Thank you, Sergeant." "Good night, sir." "Good night, Sergeant." Time to make them comfortable. Off with Molly's boots and the ninja pants... What's this? Blood in Molly's underwear? Not much, but any is too much. Time to wake Dr. Chambers. Ring! Ring! Ring! Ring! Ring! Ring! Ring! Ring! Ring! "What? Don't you know it's 3AM?" "Yes, I know it and Molly has blood in her underwear. Before you ask, we've not done anything in several days. She was so busy with Beth's birthday party that I sent her to bed early a couple of nights. She was out with the hostage rescue team tonight. Nothing physical, but mentally draining." "Meet me on the hospital floor. There's a nurse who came in with the previous group and she would like nothing better than the opportunity to do something for you. I'll send her to your quarters to stay with Sarah." "OK. I'll tell Sarah what's happening and we'll be right there." "Sarah. Sarah, Sweetie." "Hi, Poppy. Is it morning already? I'm very sleepy." "Sarah, I need to take Molly to see Dr. Chambers. Dr. Chambers is sending someone to stay with you until I return." "OK, Poppy." Back asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. She's really out of it. knock. knock. "Yes?" "Colonel Wilson?" "Yes." "I'm Linda Steele. Dr. Chambers said you need someone to watch one of your girls while she checks the other one." "Sarah is asleep in the second bedroom. It's been a long and busy day for her. I doubt that she will wake before 10:00. If she does, she can have her choice for breakfast - don't be surprised if she wants enchiladas. They're in the fridge." "There's no fast food here. Where did you get enchiladas?" "We made them. Sorry, to be short, but Molly's pregnant with twins and she's spotting." "What? No, get her to the hospital. You can explain away my ignorance later." Why is the elevator taking so long? Why is it so slow going between floors? Why do the doors take so long to open? "In here, Colonel Wilson." "I didn't expect a full medical staff at this hour." "All these people were rescued tonight. When I mentioned who the patient was, I hard a hard time keeping the staff down to one of each specialty. Put her here and let's see what's going on." "Daddy, where are we? Who are all these people? Where is my underwear? Why is there blood on the bed? What's wrong with my babies? Wha..." +Candlestick! +OK, Daddy. Explain to me? "I saw blood in your underwear when I put you to bed, so I called Dr. Chambers. She wanted to see you right away." "But won't Sarah be scared if she wakes up alone?" "Sarah won't be alone. I woke her long enough to tell her what was happening. Dr. Chambers sent a nurse to stay with her." "OK. I'm just worried about my sister." "Let me try to answer some of your questions, Molly." "OK, Dr. Chambers." "It's not unusual for there to be a little bleeding during pregnancy. I'm being especially cautious with you because you're so young and because you're having twins. First I'll do an ultrasound to check on the babies." "Is that the thing you keep in the freezer until I get here?" "We don't keep it in the freezer, Molly, but it is cold. Here's a warm blanket for your legs." "That's better." "Baby number 1 is in a good position but growing faster than we thought. So is baby number 2. Did you do a lot today, Molly?" "Not a lot. Daddy helped me and Sarah bake and ice Beth's birthday cake, then we helped Jane and Lacey with the decorations on the cake. We went to the party and sang 'Happy Birthday' to Beth and she opened her presents. She really liked the dollhouse that Daddy helped me and Sarah and Jane and Lacey build - and the dolls and furniture her Daddy and her Grandpa Ed made for it. The she blew out the candle and we had cake and her Grandpa Ed surprised all of us with homemade ice cream - he had brought all the special stuff with him from Montana. Then we went back to quarters and had a snack and Daddy had us take a nap until time to go on the hostage rescue mission. Sarah and me were in the truck with Daddy. Jane and Lacey were in the truck with Jane's Daddy. We helped find the hostages and the guards and we put the guards to sleep so the hostages could get out. I think Sarah and me went to sleep in the truck on the way back, 'cause I don't remember anything until I woke up here." "You make me tired just telling me about your day! I think you just did more than your body can handle while you're pregnant. I want to get blood and urine samples before you leave. And I'm setting some sleep rules for you." "I already go to bed too early. I'm not a baby." "No, you're not a baby, but you will have to do some things differently because you need to take care of these two babies. I'm not setting a bedtime, but a number of hours of sleep and a number of hours of rest during the day." "I don't need a nap." "I didn't say nap, I said rest. You may read or listen to music or do something else quiet, but you must rest at least an hour every afternoon." "Can I go now? And do I have to go naked?" "I need your arm for the blood sample." "Ow!" "I know you're tired and scared, Molly, so things seem worse than they would at another time. Now into the restroom for the urine sample in this little cup." "OK." "Poppy! What's wrong? Where's Molly? The nurse didn't want me to come but I can run faster than she can, especially on the stairs. Molly's jammies were on the bed so I brought them." "Slow down, Sarah. Molly is appears to be fine and so do the babies. She just did too much yesterday. Dr. Chambers will check the blood and urine samples to be sure Molly's OK, but we can go back to our quarters." "You brought me jammies, Sarah? I love my sister! Here's the pee cup, Dr. Chambers. Can we go back to sleep now, Daddy?" "Yes, I think going back to sleep would be good for you and Sarah - and going to sleep would be good for the rest of us. Thank you, Dr. Chambers." "Thank you, Colonel Wilson. I've never had a patient who was so loved by her family - yes, I know Molly's your niece and Sarah isn't related, but there's no question about the closeness of your family." "She really is having twins!" "She's so tiny. Are you sure she's six?" "How does she make an adult unconscious from outside a building?" "How did she know who were hostages and who were guards?" "Is there anything we can do for them? I'll wash dishes and mop floors if needed." "Doctors, please. Molly is pregnant with twins. Her birthday is in April, so she is six years and a few months old. I have no idea how she acquired some of her mental abilities and I certainly don't know what her limits are. Molly's records are available online to authorized care givers and to researchers who have been cleared by me. Annoying her or any other girl either in-clinic or in the public areas of this facility is grounds for termination - a consequence which now appears to be very minor, considering the abilities Molly and the other girls have demonstrated. I suggest that we all be very polite in any request we make of her or the others. I have no desire to hold my head in my hands and scream 'Make it stop!' I know you appreciate their efforts to rescue you. As far as an offer to help, I would suggest a meal. I understand that Colonel Wilson is an excellent cook, but collectively you represent some of the most famous cuisines in the world - treat him and the girls to something special." Other than "chow mein", I don't understand anything in that polyglot of languages, but I think the Colonel will be pleasantly surprised. "Daddy, when does school start? You said you would be our teacher. Will my afternoon rest mean that I miss part of school? It's 4AM; do I still take my morning sickness pill?" "In a different order: take your pill and brush your teeth. Sarah needs her jammies. I will be teaching some of the elementary grades, but I think one of the people we rescued tonight taught 4th grade so he'll probably be teaching 4th and 5th grades. School will end around 3PM, so you can have your rest time after that." "Another man teacher? My Daddy said there weren't many of them." "That's right, Sarah. There aren't a lot of men who teach the elementary grades, but those who do are usually very good teachers. I think Jane will have fun learning. Because we will have two classes, he and I will need to make some changes in the lesson plans I created, so school will probably not start for another week. If there are enough kids we might add some lessons on hydroponic farming and set up a couple of small tanks for you to grow things in. We'll have to check on how small a section can be activated - I think you might like growing some of your own foods. Maybe some grape tomatoes for snacks?" "Little tomatoes sound yummy! How long does it take from seed to tomato?" "Probably a couple of months, Honey, depending on the variety of tomato you plant. Other things we might plant would be beans, peas, maybe some lettuce." "No apple or banana trees?" "Apple trees must get big before they produce fruit, so they need soil to grow in. We can't easily do them in small hydroponic tanks. Banana trees need much warmer conditions than the other foods we might grow, so I don't think they're likely until the hydroponic crop choices are much broader - remember we don't have enough people to maintain all the tanks that exist." "Can we do kissy-face, Daddy?" "Just a little, Honey. You need to sleep, so it's kissy-face and a back rub." "But I wanna do everythi..." "Candlestick! Dr. Chambers just told you that you did too much today and that you need to rest in the afternoon. Since it's not morning yet, this is still part of your day with 'too much' in it - that means gentle stuff and going to sleep." "Yes, Daddy. I know you want to also, but taking care of me is more important. I love you, Daddy." "I love you too, Molly." "Poppy, is she already asleep?" "Yes, Sarah. She really did do 'too much' today and she's very tired." "Can we do some kissy-face?" "Just a little. You're not pregnant, but you also had a very busy day and you need to sleep." "Can we do kissy-face and you squirt in me like we were making babies?" "If that's what you want, Sweetie." "More than anything - I want to have your babies too!" "Then I guess we should get these clothes out of the way and you should sit on my lap facing me." "Suck my tongue down your throat." "No, we'll start gentle. I want this to last a little longer than before and I want you to feel safe and loved." "I always feel safe and loved when I'm with you, even when you 'teapot' me - I know you're taking care of me!" "Then be gentle and take it slow - I don't want you to need a 'teapot' now." "Yes, Poppy. Kiss me?" +Gently, Sweetie. Think butterfly kisses. +.Even with lips? +Yes. Try it. +.I like this. +Now gentle lick of my lips - remember, butterfly kisses. +.Do me, Poppy! +Yes, Sarah. Upper lip. Lower lip. Both lips. Stick out your tongue and I'll lick it. +.My nipples are tingly! I didn't know gentle kissy-face could do that. +Gentle can do a lot. Sometimes the little things like tingly nipples get lost when you just want to suck my tongue down your throat at the start. +.Stick out your tongue. I want to lick it like this. Does it make your nipples tingly? +No, but look lower down. +.Does your penis get tingly when it's like that? +It does when I'm with one of my pretty daughters. Ouch! +.Sorry, Poppy. 'Pretty daughter' was too exciting. I'll remember not to bite again. Can you put it in me? +.Sweetie, you're not any bigger than Molly, so it won't go in you. You hold your lower lips open with one hand and guide the tip to the entrance of your vagina with the other hand. +.You're right, it is big. Can I get the head in? +Maybe part of it. You stroke it and pull gently and we'll see if any goes in. +.It's going in. It feels good but it kinda hurts. I can't tell which is stronger: the hurt or the good feeling. +Stop there. I don't want to hurt you. The semen will go in whether the head is all the way in or not. +.But I want more of it! +Does it hurt more when you pull it in? +.Yes. +Then your body isn't ready for entry yet. I can wait and I'll make you wait. Stroke me gently. Long slow strokes. Let me suck on your tongue and rub your nipples. +.It feels really good when you do all of that at the same time! Hurry up! +If I hurry, the good feeling will get stronger fast and you will faint, so the good feeling won't last. We'll do this slow and gentle so you remember at least part of it. +.But I'm all tingly! Squirt in me and make the good feeling get strong. +You won't remember it in the morning. +.But I can't wait! +You're doing OK at waiting so far. Suck my tongue and stroke me some more. +.It feels bigger when I stroke it like this! +You're making the head swell, so it seems bigger. +.When can I take it all in? +Probably not until you're 9 or 10. But we can do some stretching in the bathtub. That's when I've been stretching Molly. +.Can we get in the tub now? Too late! You're starting to jerk! Are you going to squirt in ... Yes, before you finished that thought and once again you're out cold. Did I just put a baby in another six year old? Maybe I should be doing daily temperature checks to know when they are fertile. Sarah didn't ask to sleep with me, so I'll slip a gown on her and ease her into bed with Molly. I might enjoy having the entire bed to myself for one night. Maybe there'll be 8 hours without a crisis... Saturday, 22 August 2015 06:50 "Good morning, Daddy." "Good morning, Molly. You're up early for someone who had such a long day yesterday and so much excitement during the night." "I know, but Dr. Chambers called and said that someone was bringing breakfast - and that I can eat all I want of the things they fixed." "Did she say what breakfast was?" "No, she just said that one of the people we rescued last night was from Thailand and wanted to thank us for saving him. He should be here in about 10 minutes." "Is Sarah awake?" "No, she looked so happy that I thought she might be dreaming of what you did last night." "I thought you were asleep." "I was, but before I went to sleep she had the 'I want to eat you' look, so I thought she probably tried to eat you." "Silly girl, she can't eat me - but she did try to swallow my tongue." "Did you make her feel good?" "Yes, but she may not remember it." "Did you make a baby in her?" "I don't know yet." "You probably did. Sarah asked Dr. Chambers how the temperature thing worked and she's been checking it three times a day." "If her boobies get tender and her tummy starts to grow and especially if she's sick in the mornings, we'll know." "Would Sarah have twins?" "I don't know the answer to that, Honey. Dr. Chambers thought it was very unusual for someone as young as you to have twins so I don't know if it might happen again." "If she does, you'll have six little girls." "And we'll need bigger quarters." Knock. Knock. "Yes?" "Colonel Wilson, I am Dr. Trang. I have food for you and your daughters." "Come in. Our table is over there. Thank you, but we can't eat this much for breakfast." "Food for day, not just breakfast. Keep in fridge. Heat in oven." "Why are you doing this?" "You and daughters save me and daughter. We owe you very much. Dr. Chambers said you might like other cooking." "Thank you again." "You are welcome. Eat while hot." "What are all these things, Daddy? I've never seen them before." "I think these are some of the foods that are prepared for special occasions in Thailand. Since Dr. Chambers said you could have all you wanted, we should make up sample plates to see which ones you want more of." "What are you cooking, Poppy? It smells good." "I didn't cook, Sweetie. One of the people we rescued last night brought us a celebration meal as a way of thanking us." "What are all these things?" "Molly just asked that question and I said we should make sample plates to see which ones we want more of." "OK. I'll open the containers - look, there's a label inside. I guess one line is his language and the other is English. I can read 'fish', 'bread', 'fruit', 'peanut soup'. I wanna try all of them!" "Put a 'No thank you' bite of each one on your plate - there might be one that translates to 'pickles'." "OK." "You're right, Daddy - this one tastes like pickles." "OK, I'll label it so you know next time. Anything else I should label?" "Yes, Poppy - you can put 'good' on everything but the 'pickles'." "Was this a nice way for him to say 'Thank you'?" "Ym, Dnmmm." "What?" "I said, 'Yes, Daddy' - but you asked when my mouth was full." "Then I can tell Dr. Chambers that you liked it?" "Everything but the pickles, Poppy." "I liked the pickles, Daddy." "Then I'll tell her that we liked it. I thought the pickles were very good. I'll ask her how we get the containers back to Dr. Trang. When you finish stuffing yourselves, I have a project for the two of you." ""What?"" I'm beginning to enjoy their voices in unison. "Molly, since we have two girls named 'Molly Wilson', I want to search the family tree you and your Daddy were working on to see if Sarah is related to our branch of the Wilson family." "How do we do that, Poppy." "How much of your family do you know about, Sarah? Like grandfather, great-grandfather, and so forth." "My Daddy was Charles Jackson Wilson. His Daddy was Andrew Jackson Wilson. His Daddy was Howard Andrew Wilson. His Daddy was Abraham Howard Wilson." "How can you remember those names, Sarah?" "Because my Daddy told me stories about things each of them did, Molly. It was easy to remember a name that had a story with it." "Molly, we have your Daddy's computer in the other room. Do you remember how to get to the family tree information?" "Yes. There's picture of a tree with the words 'Wilson Family' under it." "Let's go search for the names Sarah remembers." "That's the picture, Daddy." "Did your Daddy show you how to do this?" "Yes." "Then you start it." "There's a box at the top where you can search for a name or part of a name. Sarah, you want to type in oldest name you remember?" "OK. 'Abraham Howard Wilson'. Do I click 'Search'?" "Yes." "It says 'searching'. And it's found a match. Molly, there's a star by the name of one of Abraham's children." "Daddy said the star means they're my ancestors. Does that mean me and Sarah are related? "Yes, you have the same great-great-grandfather." "What does that make us?" "There's a chart here. You follow the links back to the common ancestor and it tells you what the relationship is. You two are third cousins." ""We really are family!"" Unison again, but one of the happiest sounds I've heard in a long time. "Distant family, but yes, you are related." "Did any of our ancestors have 'powers' like we do, Daddy?" "That long ago, people would have been afraid of anyone who could do what you girls can do, so they probably would have kept it hidden. They might have used 'suggestions' to get other people to do things. Within the family, they might have known what each person could do but that would have been 'family private' information. Can you think of ways we might be able to see them using their abilities?" "Getting a better deal when they buy or sell something than other people do, Daddy?" "Protecting themselves or a family member without having a big weapon, Poppy?" "Those are very good ideas, girls. Read through this history of Abraham Wilson and tell me if you see things like that." "A man known for never dropping his prices sold him a farm for less than the asking price." "The cotton gin paid him a penny a bale more for his cotton than they paid anyone else." "When his son John was caught under a fallen tree, he gathered people to help before anyone from the logging site had come to report the accident." "Well, girls, do you think that Abraham and his children might have had mental abilities like yours but never let others know?" "Yes, Daddy." "Yes, Poppy, but can we go further back and see if other people did too?" "Yes. You look back through Abraham's ancestors and see if there are other stories that indicate mental abilities that most people don't have." "Poppy, all the people in this family have blue eyes. I thought more people had brown or green eyes than blue eyes." "Yes, Sarah. Blue eyes are a recessive trait, normally only happening when both parents pass the gene for blue eyes to their child. It's unusual for everyone to have blue eyes." "Daddy, my fist Daddy's records say that George Starman Wilson 'seems to have appeared out of nowhere' around 1710. Some people saw a star fall and then there was a fire in the woods. The next day a man with bad burns knocked at the door of a poor farmer named Hiram Obidiah Wilson and asked for help. The people had a hard time understanding him but slowly understood what he needed and were able to make some burn medication that they had not seen before and it worked very well. Was the 'star' really a spaceship?" "The pieces do fit together. The people in 1710 would have described anything coming from the sky as a 'star falling'. There was a fire. He was burned. They couldn't communicate right away - was he learning to read their minds and thus learning their language? He knew of medicines that they didn't have and was able to 'tell' them how to make what he needed. He had blue eyes - and none of the other Wilsons did. He married Hiram's daughter Molly and they had 10 children, all with blue eyes. Hiram later was a rich man and was elected to political office. Maybe George gave him `suggestions'? George and Molly moved to the frontier area a few years after they married - perhaps other people were becoming aware of the unusual abilities their children had? Their children married and built houses near their parents. All of George's grandchildren had blue eyes. People assumed that he was called 'Starman' because he looked up at the stars at night and said 'Someday my children will go there'. Some people thought he was crazy, but he was the richest and most successful farmer in the area." "Does that mean we're descended from an alien from another planet?" "Probably from another galaxy - we've never found any life on the other planets of our solar system." "Then the kids at school were right when they called me an alien?" "They just didn't know how right they were, Honey. I'm glad this wasn't discovered years ago by the military - they would be poking and prodding and analyzing and whatever else they could do to find out more about us. You understand that this is 'family private' and is even a bigger secret than the kissy-face stuff. If anyone finds out, we might never see each other again." ""But I want to stay with you!"" Unison that breaks my heart - I will be 'Papa Bear' whenever needed. "We'll keep this private. If Yellowstone is as bad as we think it will be, this will be the only copy of this information. It's important for future generations of our family to know where they came from, but it's also important that they don't know about our alien ancestry until they are old enough to keep the secret. Do you understand?" "Yes, Daddy." "Yes, Poppy." "Do you remember what color eyes the other girls have?" "Mostly blue. I'm not sure about Jane but Beth has blue-green and Sheila has blue-gray. Does blue-green or blue-gray mean they don't have as much alien in them as we do?" "It might mean that they have different abilities, Honey. Sheila is the only one who mentioned playing the 'How do we get home?' game. We need to see if the girls rescued last night have blue eyes. Dr. Trang is from Thailand and blue eyes there would be unusual. I think there may be people from Korea, Japan, and China. Blue eyes are also rare in those countries. If we can find out a little of their family history, there might be another 'starman' around 1710." "More than one alien?" "Maybe a bunch of lifeboats from an alien craft that was about to crash? The lifeboats could have landed in many places and a family line with blue eyes could have started at each of those locations." "Does that mean that all the people in the project could be related? That we're all descended from aliens?" "Yes, Sarah, that's certainly possible. We have two related girls named 'Molly Wilson'. Do you think that the name Molly might have been passed down in the family because the first Molly Wilson was brave enough to marry an alien?" "I guess she was really brave. Maybe the family did use the name that way." "How many other kids have you met that were named 'Molly'?" "None." "Maybe you just answered my question about the first Molly. Did you remember the pre-natal vitamin, Honey?" "Yes, Daddy." "Just checking. I want to take good care of all my girls." "Poppy, did you get named George because the starman was named George?" "I don't know, Sarah, but it's possible that 'George' has been passed down in the family in the same way as 'Molly'." Ring! Ring! "Wilson." "George, this is Ed. Could you and the girls come to Comms? The hostages who were rescued last night want to present you with an award." "Be there in 15 minutes, Ed. Girls, we're meeting with the hostages we rescued last night. Colonel Mason said something about an award. Brush your teeth and pick some clothes. I'll be in full dress uniform and it's probably appropriate for you to be pretty little girls in dresses. You usually get to wear what you want, but I think these people will be in ceremonial dress and we should dress up also." ""I understand."" Do they do that because they like it, because I like it, or because they think so much alike? ""Because we think alike and we know you like to hear it."" "Then let's get going. I told Colonel Mason 15 minutes." ""We're ready."" "And you're both beautiful." ""Thank you. We love you too."" "Colonel Mason, what do you need from us?" "Dr. Zhing, this is Colonel Wilson and his daughters Molly and Sarah." "Colonel, we wish to thank you and your daughters for saving our lives. We know that there is nothing you lack, but we wish to offer you a gift. Each family wishes to prepare their country's foods for you for a day. Dr. Trang was the first. If you are pleased with his gift, we will do likewise." "Thank you, Dr. Zhing. We were very pleased with Dr. Trang's gift. We are honored that you wish to do this." +He has blue eyes. +.So do the others. +Thank you for checking and for keeping your voices down. "May I ask a favor of each of you? Molly and Sarah have been tracing their family history and would like to know the history of the other girls. A simple list with names and dates is fine. If you have interesting stories about family members, they would like to hear or read those stories. Thank you." Much bowing and handshaking. Some of the adults greet Molly and Sarah with the respect accorded a great warrior in their cultures. How appropriate; they saw the results of these two going into 'battle' even if they weren't visible. I'm guessing that some of the girls 'heard' or 'felt' the power that took out the guards and told their fathers about it. Hugs from the hostage girls for Molly and Sarah, even a couple for me. And my girls are right - these people all have blue eyes... +Why did you answer Dr. Zhing so funny? +Because in his culture, it's very important that a gift be acknowledged in the proper way. He's correct in us lacking nothing, so the only thing they can give us is something we can't buy... +.Like the dollhouse for Beth? +Exactly, smart girl. Even if we didn't like something they brought, we would eat some of it so that we did not offend them. Remember that they are not chefs, but each one will be doing the best that he can to provide us something special. +.Why did some of them bow and take my hand? +They were greeting you as they would greet a great warrior in their country. +.A great warrior? Me? +You saved their lives and the lives of their children, so yes, you are great warriors. +But we didn't kill anyone. +No, you didn't. Great warriors do only enough damage to the enemy to win the battle. That's what you did. "Colonel, I'm Bill Jackson. I understand you're looking for teachers for the elementary grades. I taught 4th grade and am available for anything you need of me." "Thank you, Bill. I had written some lesson plans to cover grades 1 through 5, but I think splitting the kids into a class for grades 1 to 3 and another for grades 4 and 5 will work better. I'll contact you later today to work on the changes. I hope you're ready to hit the ground running - I want to start school next week. I don't see anyone with you. Do you have a child?" "I am ready to run. No, I don't have a child. I was the alternate for my niece Alice Green who's with her father in Oregon." +Can we go back to our place? I need a long hug and I don't know why, but I think I'm gonna cry. +.Me, too. "Ed, will you cover any goodbyes I missed? Both girls are showing reactions to being in 'battle' last night and they need to be held so they feel safe." "I'll cover it. You take good care of our Ninja Mind Warriors." "Thanks." "You want to change clothes, girls?" "Can we get naked?" "No, Sarah. You're both experiencing reactions to being in battle. Grown-up soldiers do also. I think you should get in jeans or whatever else you find comfortable and come get in my lap." "Both of us?" "Yes." "But we can't both do kissy-face at the same time." "No. But I can rub backs, and give hugs, and provide shoulders to cry on..." "Wah! Boo-hoo!" "Wah! Boo-hoo!" "Why are we crying, Daddy?" "Remember I said you were having reactions to being in battle? It affects different people in different ways, and we've never had six year old soldiers before. If we don't help you work it out now, it might come back later in really strange forms - that's called PTSD - Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Things people have experienced but not talked out or cried out or worked out in some other way can cause nightmares and other problems years later." ""Rub my back?"" "Are you sure you want to sleep now?" ""We want to see if we have bad dreams."" "OK, smart girls." Some of the unison speak has to be mind-to-mind at a level they aren't even aware of; they are such complex creatures. They really are smart - a little explanation and they can extrapolate a long way. That didn't take long - they're both sound asleep. Can I move them down onto the couch one at a time? Done. Now add a throw for cover - don't want my warriors getting cold. knock. knock. "Yes?" "George, it's Ed. I have something for the girls." "Come in." "They're asleep?" "We've been working on battle reactions. They both had crying spells for no obvious reason, so I explained a little about battle stress. They wanted to nap to see if they would have bad dreams." "I never cease to be amazed by these two. Ian said something about Jane and Lacey having crying spells. I'll tell him what you said. I came to bring you the uniform patches for our Ninja Mind Warriors and to tell you to have them in Comms tomorrow for a ribbon presentation. We have a 'Hostage Rescue' ribbon for each girl. They should wear their 'ninja' suits - you'll probably be the one to sew on the patches. You'll present the ribbon to each of your girls. Ian will present to Jane. I'll present to Lacey. They kept the hostages and our forces safe in a way we've never experienced before. They earned these ribbons and we'll put as much pomp and ceremony into the presentation as possible." "I can hear them now: What's all the fuss about? We didn't do anything special." "I've heard that from a lot of soldiers presented with a medal, George - they just think their way is the way everyone does things." "What's the status on Yellowstone, Ed?" "Activity is increasing - and the San Andreas appears to be ready to go again." "Status at the other Survival Buildings?" "A little over half the expected people have arrived. There are groups with stolen military gear - mostly National Guard - in all the locations and those groups probably have some hostages. Can you and the girls teach the mind hug over an electronic hookup? The other sites need it desperately." "I won't disturb them now, but I'll ask them when they wake." "Take care of them as you think best, George. You've been right every time so far." "Daddy? Where are you?" "At your Daddy's computer, Honey." "Can I sit in your lap?" "Sit only." "OK. Whatcha doing?" "Remember that I asked the people we rescued to provide as much family history as they knew?" "Yes. Are we related to them?" "I'll tell you what I found and you can decide if we're related." "Are we doing teacher and student again?" "Maybe, but mostly I'm helping you find an answer to your question." "OK. If it isn't too boring." "Dr. Trang knows his family's history back to 1710. In that year, farmers in Chai Nat saw a star falling and some of their crops caught fire. A man walked out of that fire. They saw that he was burned and Dr. Trang's 4th great-grandfather took him in and cared for him. They couldn't understand the man at first, but soon he could make himself understood and told them how to make a medicine for his burns. The 4th great-grandfather became a successful farmer and a rich man. The burned man later married the 4th-greatgrandfather's daughter and they had 11 children - all with blue eyes. They called him the equivalent of 'starman' because he would look at the stars and say 'My children will go there.'" "Daddy, that sounds just like me and Sarah! Dr. Trang's daughter is our cousin, too! Did you hear from anyone else?" "Four other families so far. The stories are almost identical. The year of 1710, a 'star falling', a burned man, and the children with blue eyes are the same in all the stories. The names are different because of the different cultures and languages, but the basic stories are the same. It appears that the mental abilities that were one of the criteria for selecting people to be in the Survival Buildings are most often found in the descendants of the 'starmen'." "Poppy, you mean we're related to all the other blue-eyed people here?" "And the blue-green eyes, like Beth and the blue-gray like Sheila. There may be other people with blue-green or blue-gray eyes - we just haven't had time to make color comparisons of the ID pictures that were made of everyone expected to be here." "Do we know when 'starman' expected his children to be able to go to the stars?" "No, Honey. We don't know how either. We don't have a spaceship that can get us to any of those stars, so either there's a way to power a spaceship that we haven't discovered yet or there's some other way to travel to the stars." "What do you mean 'some other way', Poppy?" "We've discovered that your minds can do things to other people at a distance. Maybe there's a 'mind ship' that allows you to travel between planets without being in a spaceship that uses rockets of some kind." "Moving things with our minds, Daddy?" "Yes, Molly. It's called 'telekinesis'." "How would I start, Daddy?" "Remember thinking a hug out to the bear? Put you arms out and 'think' them longer to reach the bear. Then lift your arms and the 'mind extensions'." "The bear moved, but then I dropped him." "That's pretty good for your first attempt, Molly." "Can I try, Poppy?" "Yes, Sarah. The green pillow is a little bigger than the bear but probably weighs about the same." "It moved, but I dropped it." "Can you do it, Daddy?" "I've never tried." "The bear is in the air and it's moving across the room! Can you pick me up, Daddy?" "You lie down on the sofa. I'll just try to get you up off the cushions - I don't want to drop my pregnant daughter." "It tickles around my ribs!" "Let me move that 'hand' up closer to your shoulders and the other 'hand' under your knees, Molly." "I'm not touching the sofa!" "Back down you go. I'm tired already." "Do me, Poppy!" "Just once and only lifted a little bit. You lie on the sofa." "Wow! This is better than any ride at King's Mountain." "Back down. If we plan to do much of this, we'll have to practice. Speaking of doing mind things - do you think we could teach mind hugs over an electronic link? The other Survival Buildings have the same problems we do - people who shouldn't be there are trying to get in, there are hostages they want to rescue - and they could use the mind hug." "You're the best teacher, Daddy. You just need to find someone who's on the same 'channel' to make the first contact easier. Can you get all the girls at the other place to line up and you send a very gentle mind hug to each of them? Whoever receives it should be the first student and she can teach others." "Thank you, Molly. I think you have the solution. The probability of there being someone fairly closely related to us at a US Survival Building is high. I'll see what Colonel Mason can arrange." "We want to be there to protect you in case the person at the other end does it too hard." "OK, the Ninja Mind Warriors can be my bodyguards." "We have official unit patches, Daddy?" "Yes. Colonel Mason brought them by while you were asleep. We need to sew the patches to your uniforms so you'll be ready for the ribbon presentation ceremony tomorrow." "Ribbons? For what? We didn't do anything special." "I told him you would say something like that. Think about this - if you hadn't been able to determine which people were hostages and which were bad guys, a lot of people would have been shot and some of them could have been killed. You kept all the people safe and made the rescue mission successful and without casualties." "The hostage with the big gun might have been shot?" "Yes, Molly." "The guard in the closet might have shot the girl and some of our soldiers?" "Yes, Sarah." "Maybe we did help..." "The hostage rescue manual is being revised to cover the use of Ninja Mind Warriors because you were such a big help. Both your names are in there as advisors on hostage location and guard neutralization," "Will other people think we're grownup soldiers because we're advisors on a bunch of things, Daddy?" "They probably will; soldiers aren't accustomed to having six year old girls tell them how to run a mission. But the important thing is that they'll know the procedures have been tested on a real mission and they worked." "Wow!" "Did you have bad dreams during your nap, Molly?" "A little scary, but not enough to wake me up." "Same for me, Poppy." "Good. We'll talk some more about the things that happened and you can get more cuddle time - and shoulder time if you need it." ""Thank you!"" Gotta love stereo responses. "Let's go to Comms and see if Colonel Mason has set up the mind hug classes yet." ""We'll be there to protect you."" "Thank you, daughters. Will you wear your ninja uniforms for me?" ""Yes."" "Ed, do the have the video setup for the first mind hug class?" "Yes, George. We'll use classroom 7. It's one of the classrooms with a Building to Building video link. The first group is in Oregon." "Good afternoon. I'm Colonel Wilson and I'll try to teach you how to do the mind hug. Do all the girls have blue eyes? If there's someone with blue-green eyes, we need a special session later. No blue-green eyes in this group? OK, we can continue. I need the girls to line up in a single row so I can see all of them. I'll start with a very gentle mind hug to see if anyone there is on the same 'channel' as my daughters describe it." "Girl in the green shirt; you seem to be very happy." "I felt your hug. I've never had a mind hug before and it's like being in my Daddy's arms." "What's your name?" "I'm Molly Wilson." +What? +.What? "Molly, do you know your family history?" "My Daddy is Bradley Jackson Wilson. I remember one other name because it was so different - his middle name was 'Starman'." "Thank you, Molly. My daughter is also 'Molly Wilson' and she wanted to know if you were family. My Molly also has an ancestor with the middle name of 'Starman', so I think you may be distant cousins. I want you to try something for me. Do you have a teddy bear?" "Yes, there's one on the table for each of us." "I want to take two steps back from the table so you can't reach the bear. Now put your arms out like a hug and let your mind run along you arms and to the bear. Be very gentle. My girls tell me that your touch should be softer than a butterfly kiss." "It's hard." "Yes, it is. Especially the first time. Now I want you to reach out your arms in a hug for me, then let your mind run down your arms and over the TV to hug my mind very, very gently." "Can I do it over TV?" "I think so, Molly. You try it - and remember to be gentle." "Ouch!" "I'm sorry, Mr. Wilson. I didn't mean to hurt you!" "That's OK, Molly. Both my daughters had to practice to get to the gentle hug. Try again, even softer than before." "Like this?" "Yes. Very good, Molly. Can you hold the hug at the same level for 10 seconds? I know this will be harder." "Gotcha!" "Ouch!" "I'm sorry, Mr. Wilson. My Daddy tickled me." "I know, Molly. That was planned so you would know how important it is to keep your full attention on the hug, regardless of what happens around you." "That will be hard." "Yes, it will be, but I know that you can do it." "Now I want to send a slightly stronger hug to the other girls there. I see that there are three this time. Please tell me your names." "Sarah Davis." "Alice Green." "Melinda Smith." "Girls, tell me who your adult is. Sarah?" "My Uncle Jake from North Carolina." "Alice?" "My Daddy." "Melinda?" "My Daddy was killed getting me here. I don't have anyone." "Hold on, Melinda. I think we're about to fix that." "Jake Davis, front and center." +.That's my Uncle Jake!! "Yes, sir?" "I want you to know that your niece Molly is safe. Since I have a daughter her age, she's now part of our family." "Hi, Uncle Jake. Mr. Wilson is a really good Poppy." "Jake, I want you to take care of Melinda." "Yes, sir." "I have a new Daddy?" "Yes, Melinda. I want each girl to practice with her adult. Sarah and Melinda - be careful. If both of you hug at once, it's twice as hard and it hurts." "Yes, Mr. Wilson." "When you four girls and your adults can mind hug both ways, including the 'tickle' part, I want you to share what you've learned with the others there. Remember that hard hugs hurt. Did Colonel Mason say anything about the 'Ninja Mind Warriors'?" "We thought he was kidding and it was like the Ninja Turtles." "No, it's very real and very serious. If you hold a hard hug for a minute, the person will be unconscious. If you hold it for 5 minutes, it may kill them." "Wow!" "You girls are being given great power, but that power comes with great responsibility. You only use the power to hurt someone if you or someone else is in danger of being hurt or killed." "You mean we're like soldiers, Mr. Wilson?" "Yes, Alice. We have four girls here who have already been out as part of a hostage rescue team. You saw the mind hug work over TV. It also works over the phone, including cell phones. Our Ninja Mind Warriors were able to determine which people were hostages and which were guards - and they made the guards unconscious. They also used cell phones to call to the rooms and make guards that they couldn't reach directly unconscious and 'tell' the hostages to stay away from the door when the extraction team came in." "But I'm only seven." "That's not a problem, Sarah. My Molly and Sarah were part of the team and they are both six." "Really?" "Look at their uniforms. Can we get a close-up of the unit patch?" "Wow! Real uniforms and patches." "Yes. They were a very real part of the hostage rescue team. The uniforms are available in the costume section of the storage area on level 22 at all sites, probably something originally intended for Halloween or a play, but they work for our purposes. The hats like Sarah is wearing are there also - blond hair shows up against the black uniforms, so it must be covered. Colonel Mason has sent the graphic files for the unit patch and the mission ribbon to each location so you can create your own patches and ribbons as needed. The hard mind hug can also be an effective interrogation tool - it's very painful and leaves no marks. Jake, when each adult/child pair has practiced the gentle mind hug, I want you to contact Hawaii and teach them all that you have learned. You're in charge of that and of scheduling classes at all the other sites you can contact." "Yes sir." "Poppy, my Uncle Jake is OK!" "Yes, Sarah and he knows that you are OK." "Better than OK. He knows that I have a new 'Poppy', so he knows that I have someone very special taking care of me." "Ed, I'll take the girls back to quarters to eat. Jake can present the next lesson in an hour or so - they need the time to practice." "The timing will be good. The Hawaii site says they can have everything in place in about an hour." "Could I interest you girls in supper? We still have some Thai foods we haven't tried." "Yes!" "Which foods have we not tried?" "The 'duck' and the 'snake' and some stuff that looks like rice and veggies, Poppy." "Snake? Yuck!" "Molly, remember what I said about the 'No thank you' bites? We'll try a little of it to see how it tastes." "Yes, Daddy, but can it be a very small bite?" "Yes. Try this one." "What's that look on your face, Molly?" "It's the look that I get when I'm all set to say 'Yuck' and spit something out - but it actually tastes good. Maybe like chicken enchiladas without the wrapper?" "Really?" "Try some." "It does taste like chicken enchiladas! I'm glad you made us sample this one, Poppy. Now we get enchiladas again today." "And Dr. Chambers said I could have all I wanted of these foods..." "Yes, but you do have to stop for bedtime. Since you had a 10 minute nap instead of an hour of rest, bedtime will be early for you tonight Molly." "Yes, Daddy." "No fussing?" "No, I'm tired and I need a hug and I wanna cry." "Me too." "OK. Morning sickness pill for Molly, jammies and teeth brushed for both of you. When you finish, come get in my lap." ""OK."" "Snuggle in. Heads on my shoulders." "Wah! Boo-hoo!" "Wah! Boo-hoo!" Can I mind hug both of them at once? ""Oooh, we both feel that. You're the best Daddy ever."" "Let me rub your backs. When you're both asleep, I'll put you in the bed together and I'll crash in my own bed." "Good night, Daddy." "Good night, Poppy." "Good night, daughters." They snuggle in closer - or at least they try to. They could only be closer if they were under my skin. At least they're calm now. Maybe we can work out the battle stress and then they can tell me what would help to keep it down in real time. Asleep already? That didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would. Hope they have enough worked out that they don't have nightmares. We would all enjoy a night of uninterrupted sleep.
