   When Patty was a very little girl, she had a binkie.  She sucked on the
binkie all day long.

   When she got older, her mom took the binkie away.  She said, "You don't
need a binkie.  You are a big girl."

   Patty missed her binkie.  She sucked her thumb.

   Her dad said, "Don't suck your thumb.  You are a big girl."

   Her teacher at school said, "Don't suck your thumb.  It is bad for your
teeth."

   Her big brother Eddie laughed.  "I think it's funny." It made Patty sad.
She didn't suck her thumb at school any more.  She didn't suck her thumb in
the morning before school any more.  She didn't suck her thumb at home
after school any more.

   Every night, Patty got ready for bed at eight o'clock.

   First, she closed her door.

   Next, she took off her dress.  She hung it in her closet.  She took off
her underpants.  She put them in the hamper.

   Then she took her little green nighty off the hook in her closet.  She
slipped it over her head.

   Then she sat in front of her mirror.  She brushed her long, red hair.

   Then she knelt by her bed.  She said her prayers.

   Finally, she climbed into bed.  She sucked her thumb and fell asleep.

   Patty's mom and dad did not want her to suck her thumb.  It was bad,
even at night.  Every night, someone came in and tucked her in to bed.

   When her mom came in, she gently pulled Patty's thumb out of her mouth.
She tucked Patty's hand under the covers.  Then she kissed Patty on the
head and tucked the covers tightly around her.

   When her dad came in, he gently pulled Patty's thumb out of her mouth.
He swept her red hair away from her face.  He knelt down and kissed Patty
on the cheek.

   When her big brother Eddie came in, he always played tricks.

   One time, he gently pulled Patty's thumb out of her mouth.  Then he
slipped her teddy bear's paw in instead!

   Another time, he slipped Barbie's foot into her mouth.

   And another time he slipped My Little Pony's whole head into Patty's
mouth!  Patty giggled.  Eddie cried, "I won!"

   That was part of the game.  Patty had to sleep.  She kept her eyes
closed.  She did not make a sound.  If she opened her eyes, Eddie won.  If
she giggled.  Eddie won.  If Patty kept quiet, Eddie lost.

   One night, Eddie came in and gently slipped Patty's thumb out of her
mouth.  Patty left her mouth open, like a little "o." She wondered what
trick Eddie would play.

   She felt something slide into her mouth.  It was fleshy and stiff.  It
was like his thumb, but squishy all around.  It had a funny cap on the end.


   Patty didn't open her eyes.  She didn't make a sound.  She wanted to win
the game tonight.

   Patty sucked on this funny thumb.  She sucked really hard.  Eddie
gasped. He said, "Oh!"

   Patty sucked on the funny thumb again.  Eddie said, "Oh, yeah!" He
patted her on the head.  His hand gently rubbed her shoulder.  It felt
nice. Patty liked the funny thumb.

   Patty sucked on the funny thumb more and more.  Eddie slipped it in and
out of her mouth.  He kept saying "Oh" and "Oh, yeah!" Patty felt it get
bigger and harder.  It felt warm in her mouth.  She felt a funny tingle in
her nonny.  She didn't touch it.  She wanted to win.

   Then Eddie said, "Oh, oh, ohhh!" Patty felt him shiver.  Gooey stuff
squirted into Patty's mouth.  It came from the funny thumb.  Patty
swallowed it.  She did not open her eyes.  She did not make a sound.  She
won!

   Then Eddie went to bed.  Patty sucked her thumb and fell asleep.

   One night later, it was hot.  Patty put on her little green nighty.  She
turned back the blankets.  She turned back the sheet.  Then she climbed in
bed.  She sucked her thumb.

   Eddie came in and gently slipped Patty's thumb out of her mouth.  He
slipped his funny thumb in.

   Patty sucked on his funny thumb.  Eddie slid it in and out of her mouth.
He said, "Oh," and "Oh, yeah!"

   Then Eddie touched Patty's leg.  He lifted the ruffled hem of her little
green nightie.  He uncovered her smooth little nonny.  He slid his finger
along the crack.  It felt really nice.  It tingled.  Patty sucked his funny
thumb harder.

   Eddie rubbed her nonny up and down.  It felt really, really nice.  Patty
wanted to sigh.  She spread her legs open.  She did not want to move her
legs.  She did not want to lose.  But she wanted Eddie to rub her nonny. 
It felt wonderful!

   Eddie did not say anything.  He just rubbed Patty's nonny up and down.

   Patty sucked more and more on Eddie's funny thumb.  Eddie rubbed Patty's
nonny up and down.

   Then Eddie stopped rubbing Patty's nonny.  He grabbed her hair.  He
pushed his funny thumb in and out of her mouth.  He did it again and again.
Then he said, "Oh, oh, oh, oooh!"

   Patty felt gooey stuff in her mouth again.  She swallowed it again.

   Then Eddie went to bed.

   But Patty did not suck her thumb.  She did not go to sleep.  She rubbed
her nonny up and down.  She rubbed it just like Eddie did.  Her nonny felt
wet and slippery.  It felt really good to rub it.  She said "oh," and "oh,
yeah!"

   She rubbed it faster and faster.  It was hard to breathe.  Then she
shivered all over.  She gasped again and again.  She felt wonderful!

   Then she fell asleep.

   She never sucked her thumb again.
