"Apple sauce!" I said, now it was her turn to be quiet, I was sure it was a dream, and then Kate said, "I'll phone you back, I've got to check on Brad." Cripes yes! Brad he was still missing, I was going answer her but the phone was dead. So I hung it up and waited by the phone, mom came past and asked what I was doing when the phone rang again, it was Kate. "Billy, they've released Brad, but he doesn't know what happened to him," and then she dropped her bombshell, "But I've got to go back to the house this afternoon." My mouth was dry, but if she was going then I wouldn't be on my own, so I said, "I promised Cassandra that I'd go back too," Then the feeling of panic started to form, "Kate, what are we going to do?" I asked her. She paused for a few minutes before saying, "Meet me at the library at 10, I think we have to check up on this"  I was about to moan, go to a library on a Saturday, when I could be doing so much outside, like. . . or . . . well there was . . . Nothing to do anyway! "Okay Kate, I'll be there." I said.  I went back to my breakfast, but I was thinking over the meal, what if Cassandra and Darcy were, well whatever they were, they must have been alive at one stage, so there would be a grave for them, I knew that the local church had a Harding's plot, so they must be there. I bit down on the spoon as I thought that last piece and nearly broke a tooth. After breakfast I rode to the church, the sun was shining on the headstones as I wandered through, expecting to see people watching me as I dodged through the graves, I found the plot, it was overgrown where the verger hadn't cut the grass I looked at the headstone. _*Josiah Michael Harding 1820 - 1897*_ _A hardworking and honest man,_ _The lord called and I answered._ _*Elizabeth Harding 1830 - 1884*_ _An obedient wife to her husband_ _May we be always joined._ _And In Memorial their two children_ _*Darcy William Harding 1852 - 1874*_ _*Cassandra Lorna Harding 1855 - 1874*_ _Lost at sea, awaiting the call of the lord._ _When the sea shall give up its dead._ 'Lost at sea?' I thought, but if they were lost why were they still at the house, I got out some paper and wrote down the words on the headstone, I looked at my watch it was only nine o'clock, I got onto my bike again and started to ride into town, so what if I was early, it would be the first time! When I got to the library it was only a quarter past nine, so I read the inscription again, this meant that Darcy was 22 and Cassandra was 19 when they were lost at sea, but where were they lost? And how was I supposed to find out? But then why did I want to find out in the first place? "Billy!" It was Kate's voice, I looked around but couldn't see her, but then I noticed that her bike was in the rack, I looked around again, still no sign of her, then this girl stood in front of me, I was about to tell her to move so that I could look for Kate, when I found I was looking at her. She was wearing a skirt and blouse, I've never seen her dressed like that before, she always wore jeans, she noticed my look and started to get angry. "Yes, it's me! And yes I'm dressed like a girl! Now stop staring or do you want a photograph, it will last longer!" She said. "Kate, what happened?" I asked. "I don't know, when I got up today I just dressed like this, I can't even change into jeans, this is awful" she said, I could tell she was close to tears, but I couldn't touch her like this, she was different. She looked at me and smiled, it was like she was a different person completely, and this was Kate, but a softer, nicer Kate than I was used to. I noticed that her blouse fitted her more snugly than the jumpers she usually wore. "Once I find out what he's done to me I'll go to his grave and kick it!" she said, I tried to picture this and smiled, only for the old Kate to emerge, "And what is so funny?" She asked. I laughed as I said, "Well you'll get soaking wet for a start!" and showed her the inscription I copied. "Where did you find this?" She asked me so I told her, "I should have thought of that, you know you're very good Billy," she added; now I was starting to feel like a puppy dog being praised by its master. "Thank you," I said contritely, "So why did you want to meet here?" I asked her, She nodded towards the library, "I wanted to find out about the house, just to see if there was anything we should know, but now you've found this I don't know what to do." She was starting to sound despondent. "Well we could look at the paper archives for 1874; and see how Darcy and Cassandra died." I said She almost giggled, but did smile, "That sounds so weird, we've been talking to two people who died over a hundred years ago, and now we're trying to see how they died? Doesn't that sound daft to you?" I smiled as well; yes it did sound funny, strange funny - not ha-ha funny. So I straighten my face and said, "Not at all, people do that every day." But I couldn't hold the face and bust out laughing, at which point Kate joined me. We were still smiling as we went into the library and up to the archives, the woman behind the desk looked at us as if we were aliens from another world come to destroy the place, "And what do you want in here?" She asked, I was going to tell her to mind her business, but Kate spoke up. "I'm sorry, but we've got to do some research for a school project, it about the people who lived in the town during the Victorian age, we're supposed to look through the back issues of the paper." She spoke very nicely, not at all the Kate I knew, but it worked, the woman's attitude changed completely. "Well certainly my dear, I know just where you'll find them, if you'll got to cubical 3 I'll have the fiche's brought to you, what years are you interested in?" She asked. Kate smiled at her, "Oh, we've been asked to research between the years 1870 to 1880." She said, the woman nodded and said she would be a few minutes, we went to the door she pointed out and entered the room, there was a small box with a projector like screen focused onto a white table, above the box was two wheels on either side. The woman entered the room and explained how to use the viewer, it was like a film projector except we had to move the pictures ourselves, it was easy to use and we were soon spinning the pages over the table. It seemed strange to see the days scrolling past there were very few pictures, some of the adverts looked funny as well, things like corsets, and bicycles - they didn't look much like our bikes, but then we got to 1874, in March there was a headline. _*`Local Doctor's Son and Daughter missing'*_ _Darcy and Cassandra Harding are reported to be lost at sea_ _following the sinking of the Elgar on its way to America,_ _their father Dr. Josiah Harding reported yesterday._ _There had been great speculation as to the whereabouts of_ _the two since they appeared to have vanished from home over_ _one month ago, however a letter produced by the Doctor_ _showed that they had decided to tour the world. It is a pity_ _that such a undertaking resulted in the death of two young persons._ And beneath the article was a picture of the two people, Kate and I looked at it and then at each other - the faces of Darcy and Cassandra were plainly visible in the photographs. ---------------------------------------------- *Kate's version* I understood Billy's question. I thought that we'd need to find out more about the two, I believed I knew where we should start, so I said to Billy "Meet me at the library at 10, I think we have to check up on this"  It wasn't the place he would want to go to but, after a pause, he said. "Okay Kate, I'll be there." And we hung up. I went into the kitchen where my mother looked at me strangely but didn't say anything, I ate my breakfast and decided to cycle around a bit before going into town, I went out of the door and got my bike out of the shed, took it out of the garden and onto the road. I sat down on the seat. Oh god! It was cold, but it's never bothered me before, what was wrong? - And then I looked down at the skirt I was wearing! A skirt! Me! I got off the bike and left it by the gate, I ran into the house. "Kate?" my mother sounded puzzled, "What's wrong?" I didn't answer but ran upstairs to my bedroom, I went to where my jeans were hanging, but as my hand reached to it a voice inside my head said, "It doesn't suit you little fox, a young girl like you should be dressed as befits a lady!" I knew the voice, I heard it in my dream - or whatever it was - last night, it was His voice, Darcy's and my body was listening to it, stopping me from wearing what I wanted. I tried to reach her tee-shirt, but my hands went to another blouse, I tried again for the jeans, with the same result, how could he have done this to me. "LEAVE ME ALONE, I WANT TO BE ME, NOT SOMEONE'S IDEA OF A PERFECT LADY! I'M NOT I'M KATE, YOU HEAR ME, KATE!" I shouted into the air. "Kate dear! Are you alright?" This was from my mother who was at the doorway, I turned to her. "No mum, I'm not! I'm trying to get dressed in my jeans, but I just can't put them on." I tried to show her but she didn't take any notice. "Well it's about time you dressed as a young girl should, you've been a tomboy for much too long in my opinion." She didn't seem to understand, somehow he was affecting her, it was too much, I stormed past her and back outside to my bike, which I mounted and rode towards the town. After a few minutes I got used to the feel of the saddle underneath me, but I was aware that every time I moved my legs my panties were visible, I don't know how the other girls managed cycling with skirts on. Then I noticed that the wind was causing strange feelings from 'down there' along with the constant rubbing, 'maybe it's not so bad like this.' I thought to myself. I arrived in the town at about nine o'clock and started to look around, I could feel the boys looking at me, as if they were undressing me, I went into a shop to escape their attentions. I caught myself looking at dresses and thinking how they would look on me, I had to leave the shop quickly - I DO NOT WEAR DRESSES, THEY ARE FOR GIRLS NOT ME! - I tried to keep that thought running through my head. But when I saw that Darcy man again. . . Well he'd better watch out that was all! I looked at the clock in the town square, it was still too early to meet up with Billy, but I walked back to the library, where I had left my bike, I noticed that Billy's was also there, I glanced around and saw him sitting on a bench seat, I called to him but he just looked straight through me and then around, this got me angry so I went and stood in front of him. He tried to look around me and then raised his head to look at me, then his mouth opened, I couldn't help it, I had to say something. "Yes!" I snapped, "It's me, and yes I'm dressed like a girl." He kept staring so I added, "Do you have to stare or do you want a photograph, it would last longer!" That seemed to snap him out from his shock, "Kate." He said, "What happened?" I almost broke down then, but managed to change it to anger, "I don't know! When I got up today I just dressed like this, I couldn't even change to get into my jeans. This is awful!" I grabbed my anger with both hands, "When I find out what he's done to me." I couldn't think of anything to do so I said, "I'll go to his grave and kick it!" All Billy did was to smile, which made me really mad. He then said, "Well you'll get soaking wet for a start!" and he handed me a piece of paper with words written on it, I read through them, Darcy and Cassandra, Lost at sea! "Where did you get this?" I asked him "At the churchyard, I found the Harding plot and there it was as plain as anything." He explained, that was so obvious but I'd missed it. I could have kissed him - no I couldn't - I don't kiss! So I said, "I should have thought of that, I must say you were very good Billy!" I was trying to please him. "Thank you." His voice was slightly strange, "But why did we have to meet here?" he added pointing to the library. Yes why? And then I remembered, "I wanted to find out about the house, I wanted to know if there was anything else we should know. But now that you've found this I'm not sure what to do." I felt like giving up. Billy surprised me by saying, "Well we could look at the newspaper archives for 1874, and we could see how Darcy and Cassandra died." That did sound stupid, we were going to meet up with two people later today, but before that we were going to learn how they died. I couldn't help it, I had to smile. "That's so weird, we've been talking to two people who died over a hundred years ago, and now we're going to read about their deaths!" I was watching Billy as I said that. "Not at all," he said quiet seriously, "People do that every day!" and then he started to laugh which was a release for me because I joined him. When we finally stopped I grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the library, we ran upstairs to the archive section where a battleaxe of a woman was seated behind a desk. "Yes?" she asked, "What do you want." As if expecting a stupid answer, so I decided to play the nice little girl - well I was dressed for the part. "I'm so sorry," I said in my sweetest voice, "We've got to do some research for a project at school." I was making this up and hoping that Billy would go along with it, "It's about the people who lived in the town, during the Victorian era, I think we're supposed to look through the back issues of the paper." It seemed to work wonders on the woman, because she smiled at me - I smiled back. "Well certainly my dear." I almost screamed at that, "I know just where you'll find them," She pointed to a door behind us, "If you'll go to cubical 3 and I'll have the fiches brought to you, and what years are you interested in?" she added I smiled at her and said, "We've been asked to look at the years 1870 to 1880." She nodded to us and said that she'd get the files, it would take a few minutes and we could wait in the room. It was slightly dark in the room, I could feel Billy so close to me, I remembered Cassandra's words and started to think about kissing Billy and letting him touch me, and what did she mean by 'once he's been trained'. The door opening brought me back to my senses and the woman had the fiche, it was like a roll of film on two spools, she threaded the film so that it went past a light and the two spools were slotted onto a couple of handles, she turned one of the handles until the first page was visible on the table, she focused the page so that it could be read and said, "To turn the page you just use these handles, you shouldn't need to adjust the focus now, so don't worry about that, and when you've finished, please let me know, and I'll come back and put it away for you." I thanked her and she left the room. The date on the first page was May 1870, which didn't interest us, I quickly turned the handle watching the pages slide past, when we got to 1874 I slowed down, trying to glimpse at the pages in order to judge where to stop.  Finally a picture of two people caught my eye, I stopped and turned back to it - it was Darcy and Cassandra! I read the article as Billy copied it down, it said that they'd been missing for a month before this, lost at sea, I supposed that would be bad, but why were they at the house - I wish I'd really learned about ghosts - that was what they were after all - but they don't teach you about that at school! I let Billy finish writing down the article and started to wind the pages back. When I got to January I found the piece I was looking for. _*Harding disappearance - police investigate.*_ _The mystery surrounding the disappearance of Darcy and Cassandra_ _Harding deepened yesterday when the constabulary searched Harding_ _House.  However after an extensive search, which included digging up_ _Several rose bushes, the search was given up._ _A spokesman for the force said, that following information received_ _It was decided that a thorough inspection of the property owned by_ _Dr. Josiah Harding was required._ _An undermaid reported that harsh words were exchanged between_ _Dr. Harding and his son, the cause of the argument were not disclosed._ _'We are obliged to investigate any evidence presented to us._ _But we are satisfied that Dr. Harding is as concerned_ _regarding their whereabouts as are we._ I turned the handles to look back over the preceding days; finally in December 1873 there was one single article, again with Darcy and Cassandra's picture. _*Information requested*_ _Dr. Harding of Harding House, requests that any person_ _Having knowledge of the whereabouts of his children_ _Darcy and Cassandra Harding, should contact him at_ _Their earliest opportunity._ _A cash reward is offered for this information._ Billy just stared at this and then at me, "What do you think?" he said, I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know. It looks like they argued with their father for some reason and just ran away - but when they tried to go to America their ship sank and drowned them!" It sounded so cold and callous but what else was there to think. Billy nodded, and we turned the handle further on near the end of the roll of film was a page it was dated March 1879 _*Harding.*_ _Judgement of coroners court held last Friday, found that_ _As the bodies of Darcy and Cassandra Harding, had never_ _Been recovered from the sea, following the loss of the_ _Steamship Elgar, that the said persons be declared Legally dead._ _The court passed its condolences onto their parents Dr. and_ _Elizabeth Harding._ Billy looked at me, "Well," he said, "That's it then, their bodies were never recovered." His face went quiet white and he hissed to me, "You don't think they're vampires do you?" I shook my head, "No!" I said, "Darcy was able to get Brad's bike from the path, to do that he'd have to go outside, and the sun was shining. Anyway last night they were outside in the sun and it didn't affect them did it?" Billy started to nod and then said, "No they weren't! It was all a dream, Cassandra changed the weather to a rainstorm and then back again, I think they're vampires and they're going to suck our blood!" he was starting to get worried. I felt like hitting him, "They are not vampires, if they wanted to suck our blood they would have found better places than your stupid prick!" There I said it, I mean it looked okay but I only had a glance at it, he seemed slightly abashed, but then said. "Okay, but it felt good at the time! So if they're not vampires then what are they?" which was a question I couldn't answer. We left the booth and I said thank you to the woman behind the desk, "That's okay dear, anytime you want to use the fiche library just come on in." she said. "I think she fancies you," said Billy. "Don't be daft," I said, "Girls don't do that!" but I remember Emily and Cecilia at school, how they behaved, Cecilia's parents sent her to a different school after they were found in the changing rooms together. We spent another hour in the library looking at the reference section, reading about ghosts and how they were supposed to behave, but Darcy and Cassandra didn't act like the ghosts in the book. I read in one book that ghosts were spirits who refused to move on - whatever that meant, another said that they'd been cursed and force to haunt a particular spot, or even a piece of the place they were haunting, then Billy showed me a book her was reading, and I read about a succubus - a ghost in female form who killed people by having sex with them. Trust him to find that! At twelve o'clock we gave up our research and rode back for lunch, Billy was in front of me and turned round to say something, and then he nearly came off his bike, I did try to find out why but he said the wheel wobbled too much for him. He should have been controlling the bike better! We split up for our own homes; I arrived back as mum was starting to cook the lunch, I was so warm after the ride that I went upstairs for a quick shower, hiding my hair under a cap to keep it dry, while I was in the shower I thought about what I'd read. How could Darcy be controlling me when I was so far away from him, I felt the water hitting my breasts, the feeling of it, warm and pounding, I moved under the stream, teasing first one and then the other, then reaching up and changing the stream from a gentle shower to a pulsing jet, aiming the water lower on my body, just hitting the right spot, as an aid to my hand which was gently rubbing that sweet spot between my legs, letting the feeling rise up within me. "Kate! Your dinner's on the table, come on down." Mum's voice brought me back from the brink of pleasure, I quickly turned the shower back to normal and jumped out, quickly towelling myself dry and using the towel as a robe rushed back into my bedroom, I tried to pick up my jeans to wear, but still got diverted to another skirt, I tried to get a tee-shirt out but found a blouse instead, I still don't know why I'm doing this but I was determined to talk to Darcy at the first opportunity. ----------------------------------------- *Billy's Story* Kate moved the wheels to near the end of the spool and the last part of the story was revealed, I turned to Kate, "So, that's it then, "I said, their bodies were never recovered." Then the memories of horror films struck me, bodies never found but they still looked and felt real, I felt my face drain off. They could be. . . I quickly said, "You don't think they could be vampires do you?" Kate thought for a moment and then said, "No, Darcy was able to get Brad's bike, and the sun was shining that day, but anyway when we saw them outside they were in the sun, and it didn't affect them did it!" I almost agreed but then remembered what had happened so I told her, "No they weren't! It was all a dream, Cassandra changed the weather to a rainstorm and then back again, I think they're vampires and they're going to suck our blood!" Somehow I knew she was feeling my panic. Kate shot back with, "They are not vampires, if they wanted to suck our blood they wouldn't have used your stupid prick!" Which was a bit of a low blow I felt - I was quiet proud of my cock to tell the truth. So I decided to tough it out. "Okay," I said, "but it did feel good at the time!" Then I asked the question that needed asking. "So if they're not vampires then what are they?" Kate didn't reply to that one. As we left the archive rooms I noticed that the woman couldn't keep her eyes off Kate, for a laugh I said to Kate as we left. "I think she fancies you" but was surprised when Kate took it seriously "Don't be so daft," She said, "Girls don't do that!" but I could see she was thinking about something. We spent some time in the reference library, researching ghosts, Kate was busy reading up when I found a book about the sexual forms of ghosts - I think they hadn't put it away properly, I found out that people could have sex with ghosts, or a particular form called a succubus, well I though Cassandra would fit into that role, she sucked me a lot. I showed the book to Kate but she wasn't impressed. "That's only a story." She told me and carried on reading her book. We rode back home at midday, I was in front of Kate, I turned to tell her that I'd see her at the gate to the House, when I noticed that I could see right up her skirt and her cream coloured knickers that she was wearing. The sight surprised me so much that I almost lost it; I quickly looked forward again and steadied the handlebars. "What happened?" asked Kate. "The wheel started to wobble a bit, nearly knocked me off" I told her. "You should keep you hands on the bar then." She told me and we went our separate ways, I hope she keeps her skirt on when I see her next, she looks nice in it. ------------------------------------ Darcy moved from the hidden door in the cellar up into the body of the house, in a way he was looking forward to seeing Kate, 'Cassandra was a fine person to spend your years with', he mused, 'but it's always nice to have a change once in a while'. He found Cassandra up in the playroom, the toys long since put away, but the rocking horse was still usable and she was on it again, moving back and forth, she smiled as he entered the room "They will be here soon," He said to her, she laughed. "And lovely Kate will be with the boy who will be her lover," Cassandra told her brother, "and you will love the change in her attire." Darcy turned to her, "What did you do?" He asked her mildly. Cassandra laughed, "Oh just a little compulsion to make her day interesting, she can't wear those awful trouser things at the moment or any of her singlet things, only proper clothes for girls. She should learn that a proper lady is always correctly attired." She said Darcy shook his head in admiration, "When did you manage that my dear," he enquired. "Just before we left them last night," She answered, "I whispered into her ear, and added a modicum of feeling into her, she doesn't realise what's happened of course, or she would be very angry with me." She kept quiet about the form of the compulsion or who's voice Kate would hear every time. She wanted a bit more fun than she'd had recently. Darcy laughed; he knew that the afternoon ahead of them was going to be interesting, very interesting indeed. -----------------------------------------------------------------
