"Sure," Tim grunted. Dina popped open the rear door and flounced in. "Have a good time, boys?" she asked, archly. "Well, yeaah..." Tim replied, warily. "Good. I ought to charge you guys for my time and efforts, running around trying to keep you all moving in the right direction. I don't know which group was worst, you or the girls! And you're the worst, Big Brother. Do you have to analyze EVERYTHING!" "Uh, well..." Ricky began. "You had that poor girl almost in tears! She was going nuts trying to figure out what she did wrong!" "I figured that out. I apologized!" Ricky's eyes acquired a wicked gleam, "And I think I made it up to her..." he grinned, wiggling his eyebrows. Tim and Dina both laughed. "Could be..." Dina allowed. Did you ask her to the Prom?" Ricky tucked his head and mumbled "Not yet." "Are you gonna?" Dina pressed. Ricky looked up "Oh yeah! She's light years ahead of all my OTHER applicants!" They all laughed again, but Dina couldn't let it go, "Yeah, she's got to be an improvement over finger puppets..." This brought another chortle from Tim and a look of mock indignation from her brother. "So, when are you going to ask her? It takes a girl time to prepare, you know." "Well, I've got a date with her tomorrow night..." Ricky allowed. "I'll get there - I can't jump into a committed relationship after two dances like Genius, here!" He grinned, whacking Tim on the shoulder. Dina grinned, as did Tim. "Steady? Already? Sounds like an ad slogan! Still, you seem to have tripped Dolores' trigger. She's clam happy... Speaking of clams, if you keep treating her the way you are, you won't need any tools to open hers!" Tim blushed. "What's so special? I'm just treating her like a lady!" "Which comes natural to you, but is something she's not been exposed to - and hungers for. And THAT, my friend, is why you're stumbling down Easy Street!" Dina rejoined. "Just be careful that you're not too casual about it! When she finds out you're nice to everybody, and maybe she's not special..." "But she IS!" Tim returned, hotly, "She's..." A million descriptive terms flooded through his mind, but none seemed right, so he ran out of steam there. "Then you're even more prone to dumb luck that I thought! See you at the wedding!" Dina teased. "As for you, Big Brother, others saw the 'new' Mandi tonight, too! You better get your tight ass in gear!" She stopped, sniffed, looked theatrically blank, and announced, "By the way, what's that smell?" Tim snickered. Ricky, striving manfully for a straight face, said, "It's my new cologne, 'Ambrosia'!" "So you wear it on your leg?" Dina inquired archly. Tim let go with a guffaw. Ricky continued to attempt to look innocent, not too convincingly, "The container opened..." "She sure did!" Dina returned, and they all collapsed in a fit of laughter. Tim had to pull over and stop - luckily, they were on a quiet street. "I hope you realize what a gold mine you've got there, Big Brother - play your cards right and you'll never have to whack off again!" "Dina! Jeez, you sound like Bobby!" Ricky exploded. Dina sobered. "Speaking of Bobby - he's still stuck without a date, isn't he?" "Yep, his famous mouth did him in," observed Tim. "Well," Dina responded, "let him know that I can be had - but I'm going to want a pound of flesh from him." Ricky looked at her sidelong as she continued, "When you see him tomorrow, tell him to come see me tomorrow night. If he'll agree to my terms, I'll solve his problem for him." "What are these terms?" asked Ricky. "They're between Bobby and me!" Dina replied. "And they'll stay that way!" "Okay..." Ricky said dubiously, "I'll tell him." At that point, Tim pulled up at the Nellis home, and the siblings got out, thanking him for the ride. Dina gave Tim a quick peck on the cheek before he drove away. The two entered the house, nodded at their father, Robert, reading in his chair in the den, and ran up to their separate bedrooms.
