Commentary and The Taboo:

Greetings from the network hub in Sunny Los Angeles.

This week I wanted to take a few moments and give you (our faithful viewer) a little heads up on what's going on behind the scenes and in front of the camera here at Taboo TV. So much to get to, and so little space, so here we go.

1. Judging from the many emails I get from the feedback form, some people who visit the site seem to be confused about the new format, so let me clear a few things up.
:> The GLG site is now being ran as it if it where a fictional tv network such as USA or MSNBC. Only our 'series' are available on the website exclusively and not in video form. Which also means we do a weekly schedule and this means that on Monday Nights (on the fictional Taboo TV) that new series 'Rhythm & Blues' will lead of the night @ 8, followed by 'Jessie and Katie (in Friends and Lovers)' @ 8:30, 'Scent of a Girl' in the anchor position @ 9:00, and 'Hey Mickie, Hey Mickie' following @ 9:30. Stories from these 'series' will be posted ALL NEW every Monday night.
:> This fictional cable channel will be referred to simply as Taboo TV.
:> All personalities and celebrities appearing are characters created by the writer and have no relation to the persons or person's in reality (i.e. Jamie Lynn Spears is preggo now, but not on Cumming Out).
I hope this clears the confusion up.

2. I've been very surprised and flattered as has my co-writer CJ Ames at the amount of support and good words the series, 'Hey Mickie, Hey Mickie', has recieved in it's few months on the air. When I originally began working on it, the series was intended to be a 3 part mini-series but grew out of my need to have a companion piece for the series 'Scent of a Girl' on Monday Nights. Little did I know then that 'Mickie' would literally take on a life of it's own and become the more asked about of the two series. It has even surpassed 'Jessie and Katie (in Friends and Lovers)' in popularity from what I can see. So for all the kind emails and nice requests to continue working on it, I say, Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
:> More on 'Mickie' in the news section below

3. Just as a note to my fellow authors who are visiting, I am actively looking for new series for possible addition to the Taboo TV schedule. So if you're interested, check the details below and hit me up with an email.
:> All series must be lesbian based with either a real world or fantasy setting.
:> All authors must complete at least one season of a series before I will consider posting it on the regular schedule. It is up to the author to determine how many 'episodes' he chooses to produce. But it must be either 6, 10, 11, 13 or 22 as this is a standard number of episodes on any major network or cable channel for an existing series.
:> Series must abide by the rules of the GLG site and not contain any of the banned topics or activities (check the main page for a complete list).
:> Author is responsible for editing his or her own work.
:> Neither TVM or CJ Ames are currently seeking writing partners. So the author will be writing solo.
Please include as many details as possible in your email if you are proposing a series.

The "Tanned Princess" Exits Stage Left: In one of the most shocking events in Cumming Out history, new 'Hawaiian Style' co-host Jamie Lynn Spears has been fired by Executive Producer Mackenzie Rosman. The rumors are flying on the set and behind the scenes as to what prompted this sudden shift in the landscape. A prominent source familiar with the on-set politics points directly to the controversial "Payback 101" episode, featuring Ms. Spears former Zoey 101 co-star Alexa Nikolas, as the final straw. Saying on condition of anonymity, "Jamie Lynn let her spoiled brat act get out of control and Mackenzie had finally had enough and fired her. The Payback 101 episode was her reasoning but I suspect that Jamie Lynn wanted out and the TPTB (The Powers That Be) wanted her gone a lot worse." See next item for more on 'Cumming Out: Hawaiian Style'.

Hayden's Fantasy Girl Enters Stage Right:
If reports from the network hub in L.A. and Honolulu are correct it appears that current "One Life To Live" star, Kristen Alderson, has been tapped to take over as co-host for the departing Jamie Lynn Spears. This past Tuesday's 'special episode' (the first of a two-parter) featured Kristen's first appearance. When contacted for a quote on this story Kristen commented, "I don't know anything about Jamie Lynn being fired and I really wish you'd leave my name out of this, I was offered an incredible job and took it. End of Story." Yeh not quite Kristen.

Dakota & Twinsanity Shatters Record w/Premiere Audience: 'Cumming Out: Hawaiian Style' Executive Producer Mackenzie Rosman must be a happy young lady this morning as her newest creation, 'Cumming Out: Dakota & Twinsanity', pulled in a record number of viewers for it's much talked about Tuesday night premiere. The audience, one of the largest in cable history according to the good morons at Neilzin Media Research, topped even the premiere of it's parent series five long years ago. Also of note was the return of Rosman's other production, 'Willa's Wild World', which held onto an astounding 86% of the lead in audience provided by 'Cumming Out: Dakota & Twinsanity'. If these numbers hold up, Taboo TV will have a very profitable February sweeps. While Mackenzie Rosman appears to have the Midas touch.

Mickie and Taylor Get A Second Season?: Taboo TV has quietly confirmed that newcomer 'Hey Mickie, Mickie Mickie', has been slated for renewal for a full 22 episode second season. The series, which wraps it's first season on March 10, has posted positive ratings in the cozy time slot following 'Scent of a Girl' on Monday nights. But many question whether it will be able to continue that success if it were to be moved outside of that protected time slot. Regardless, the series second season will take the air in September if plans remain on track. We'll keep you updated.
