They run a helpful online message board support group. ============================================================ History of story posting I posted to ASSTR from the beginning in 2009, but have also posted my stories in other places. Starting in 2009, I began posting in "Stories Online". In 2011, in response to a change in Canadian law, the site stopped accepting any stories with children under 14 engaged in sex. That was most of my stories. I've continued to post there the ones that qualify, but it is definitely a minority! In 2015, I made an ASSTR web version (also with the name "Sterling") to access most of my stories, including sorting by type/genre, and it is still there but will likely not be updated. In 2017, the usual author tools for posting to ASSTR disappeared. There was talk of "ftp access" but it sounded too complicated for me. I just now (in 2020) put in the effort to figure out how it worked (it's not that hard!), and as a result have recently reposted stories here to ASSTR that had gone to other places in the intervening three years. One place was lolicit, a site that is primarily for "Lolicon" cartoons drawings, but they also have a creative writing section. Unfortunately, you must join and achieve a certain amount of "reputation" before you can even see the stories there. In 2019 I discovered Archive of Our Own (AO3), and posted there enthusiastically for a while, but got banned due to a misunderstanding late in 2019. The stories are still there as of this date, but I am "muzzled" and cannot say anything, even in reply to comments. I have posted a few stories to "ravishu" that have rape-related subjects. As of today I have reposted to ASSTR everything I posted to these different sites from the last 3 years. Early on at ASSTR I made a "BARGAIN BASEMENT" subfolder for stories I thought weren't up to par, but as of today I have copied all of them to this main folder. Some of them (notably "Do my daughter first") are popular and I now realize it is quite a good story. The others aren't of any detectably inferior quality either. I have left the old copies in that folder in case some external link points to them. There is a "story" titled "A SUBJECT INDEX" here which was last updated in 2013. It is obsolete but presents a fair picture of how the world looked to me then. ASSTR used to provide weekly download reports, which I found very valuable. Few readers bother to write to authors, so tracking downloads is an excellent way to see how many people are interested in your stories. In 2017 these stopped, and I miss them. Before they stopped I had well over 2 million downloads of all my stories collectively. I try to include a "first posted" date for every story. It refers to when the story was first posted anywhere, ignoring minor changes or cross-posting that might imply a later date. When I look back at my first year of posting, I see variety and creativity -- perhaps too much. I also can see my own skills as a writer getting better in that one year. So keep in mind that stories with a "first posted" date before (say) September of 2010 are from a different era -- but I haven't deleted any of them. ============================================================ About me I’m a pedophile, meaning I have a strong sexual and romantic attraction to pre-pubescent girls. I have never acted on that attraction and never will. I have never seen any child pornography. I live in the eastern USA. I was born in 1953. I have two daughters, born in 1987 and 1990. I was married to their mother from 1985 to 2000, and we divorced for unrelated reasons. I later had a steady girlfriend of roughly my same age for about 9 years, which rounds out my relationship history. I thought of myself as a normal hetero guy until about the age of 54 or so. I surely could not have done so without a passionate attraction to adult women. I am much luckier than many pedophiles in that respect. It is very rare for a pedophile to not realize his attractions until such a late age. But the attraction was there all along, I just didn't understand it for what it was. On the adult side, I’ve always preferred women who looked more child-like and retained a playful and child-like personality. Up until I was about age 30, children in general and girls in particular were a mystery to me, being the youngest in my family with no other children in my life. Then my ex-wife and I had two daughters, and everything changed. I was an involved parent, spending a lot of time with my daughters and their friends. I really ‘got’ children, understood their feelings and respected them, and they in turn liked me. I knew I felt a deep tenderness and affection for them, but my pedophilia was obscured. Parents often feel tenderness towards children, and I figured I just had a stronger-than-usual case. While I felt a typical parental love for my daughters, I felt a different romantic attraction for some of their girl friends. My protective reaction was so strong that I didn't let myself even feel the sexual nature of my attraction until I started looking at innocent pictures online for arousal purposes. Google Images provides a wide variety of material, including girls of all ages in bathing suits. I used to volunteer with younger children and found it very rewarding, but stopped even before I realized I was a pedophile. Society became far more suspicious of any adult male interest in spending time with children, and now forbids even hugs. A major downside to my attraction is the isolation. There is a whole side to my life I cannot share with anyone. The need to keep a big secret is a deterrent to friendship, which at its best includes being able to talk about anything. I also have a successful career in high tech, and I've been involved with a liberal religious congregation, and taken an activist role in politics. Puzzles and games, nature, and dancing are a few hobbies. I read a fair amount. Writing has also been an outlet for my attractions. All the stories I write are erotic in one way or another, but sexual activity between men and small girls is surely a very common theme. I portray a variety of thoughts and feelings to these men, and some of them are very different from how I think and feel. What I write is fiction, in both the specific and the general. So that's a rough sketch of the man behind the stories.
