I have 3 comments/questions for you. First, I have very, very much enjoyed
your postings and letters. They are some of the most arousing and erotic
stories I have read, I think because they are real. I've seen similar

been 1 or 2 replies semi-directed towards you which have been on the negative

Hi!
This is my first posting to PWDigest, but I feel it is time.
Most of the postings recently have been about bondage (as many people
have complained), so I thought a change of subject would be welcome.
My perversion is cross-dressing. Over the years, I have gone
from simply wearing one or two of the "tastier" items of women's clothing
to dressing completely, right to makeup, wig, and stockings. Since I
started, I have built up quite a large wardrobe of clothes, all of them

Since nobody seems to be covering areas of interest to me, I guess I will
start
the ball rolling and see if I can get some talk going in such areas.
I am a divorced/white/male/submissive into heavy BD and mild SM.
One area of interest to me is electric shock treatments. What I have
noticed is that there is a gap between what appears in various published
stories, and what one can really buy as equipment. The equipment that I
can find also suffers from what I consider real safety problems. I also
think that there are some areas where there is not enough imagination is
being shown. So, here are my thoughts on the subjects.
In the few fantasies that I have seen that deal with electric shock,
people are often dealing with radio controlled shockers. This is an
interesting
idea, which I think can be used to great effect. However, no place that
I can find has such an item for sale. Does anybody know of a source?
In building a few "home builts" I have come to understand how hard it is
to have a radio controled shocker that does not put out enough noise to keep
itself triggering. I have found that, while it can be done, it is a pains
takeing (no pun intended) task to properly shield it. Another problem is
that the average house abounds with sources of Radio Frequence (RF) noise.
The best solution that I have been able to find is to actually listen on
two frequencies, and to trigger when a signal is seen on the active frequency
and not on the control frequency. (This avoids most household noise sources
which show up on all frequencies.) Has anybody else found a better solution?
Has anybody else ever built a real one, or do these just show up in
fantasies?
I looked at several different commercial shockers, and I have noticed that
many general safety considerations seem to be missing in all of the ones that
I have seen. The standard commercial unit is basicly an oscillator followed
by a step up transformer. The units I have seen do not do any current
sensing on either side of the transformer, and use the maximum output of the
battery as the only current limiting factor, and are not in general even
fused. This strikes me as a dangerious item. For example, if the shocker
delivers a healthy jolt on dry skin, then when the skin becomes wet or
injured its resistance drops enough to make the current high enough to
inflict burns. This does not seem to be reasonable to me. I have been
measuring skin resistance in "reasonable" situations, and have found that
it can vary by a factor of five in cases that can occur in standard B&D
practice.
I realize that current limiting on the output high voltage side is not
reasonable, but a current regulator on the input side is quite reasonable,
and a fuse backing that up seems to be quite reasonable. This may make
it cost more, but the safety considerations seem to outweigh this to me.
There are some practical advantages to building them this way also, it means
that you get the same apparent level of shock over all situations, and can
therefore set the value higher without causing problems later when the
victim becomes sweaty. Is anybody aware of a commercial unit with any
reasonable safety features? Do I have to continue building my own?
It seems that there are several uses for shockers that have great (to
my tastes anyway) potential that have not appeared in the literature that
I have been exposed to. Forgive me if the stuff I am about to list is
all "Female inflicting on Male" stuff, but that happens to be my taste.
The most interesting variation to me is the vaginally triggered radio
controled shocker. While there is some work involved in detecting the
contractions of the vagina, it does give a triggering method that has
a number of advantages. On advantage is that it is a "Hands free" operation,
and can be triggered by the woman any time without doing anything obvious.
Just think, from the point of view of a bystander, she just has to become
angry at him and he "magicly" drops in pain.
There are several practical considerations to this, the foremost being
that you really have to detect changes in the contraction and not the
actual level of contraction. This may not be obvious, but it seems that
the vigina contracts while a woman is asleep, and can stay that way for
hours. (This is a fact learned from the first attempt at this, does anybody
know why this occurs, or whether is is really contraction or just other
parts pressing in?) Triggering on onset, and releaseing on relax or 5
seconds
seems to be a good working rule.
There are still some times that one gets a false trigger, but I think that
they are reasonable. The two times I have most noticed are; First when she
climaxes, this tends to shock the shit out of the slave since there are
contractions at climax. Second when she goes to the bathroom, there tend
to be random shocks when she squeezes down to take a shit. There were
occasional other random times, but I was never able to track down the
actual cause of them.
Is there anybody else out there experimenting in this area? I have not
been able to continue any testing since my divorce, but I would be quite
willing to correspond with anybody that is doing so, and offer my advice.
Is this subject of any general interest? Is it too detailed for the
non-hardware hackers? Not enough detail for the hardware hackers? Do people
want to hear about such sessions? Anybody want to share any?

Thanks for your letter -- Susan says she'd love to know what motel you
two stay at so we can drive by and watch! What a perfect evening it
would be if we could find a motel with two rooms facing each other...
Unfortunately, Susan is 98% opposed to any form of public sex play,
even if it just involves wearing toys under street clothes. I really
get off on that kind of scene, but we've only done it three times, and

Remember that the original images are 640x400x8 bit gray scale, at a
quarter megabyte each. One reader has built a filter that he is
willing to distribute that converts my ASCII (really just 6bit gray
scale) to an 8bit PostScript file or 1bit bitmap (it even adjusts the
aspect ratio and does smoothing).
The PBM format is appealing because of the availability of Jef's
conversion code and the fact that that vote came from the P&W Digest
moderator.
I see four non-exclusive options right now
1. Continue with the ASCII postings, making them larger (more
resolution) and publishing one or more C programs to convert
them into PostScript or 1bit deep files.
[ this is the easiest, but not very satisfactory ]
2. Publish PostScript 8bit files with as much resolution as space
permits (a 160 by 130 8bit PostScript file is about 53k).
[ this may make too much net traffic, calling the
wrath of the system administrators down on us.
But we all have postscript, don't we? ]
3. Make the images available in PBM format (compressed) on a UUCP
mail archive or anonymous FTP repository.
[ once an image has been halftoned, you can't
resize it or process it digitally very well ]
4. Make the original files [600x400x8] files available via UUCP
mail archive or anonymous FTP.
[ this tends to cut off the UUCP only crowd, and
the 8bit files are enormous. But there'd be no
loss of information between my scanner and you ]

Jef Poskanzer claims to be in the market for more bitmaps, but he
