                                                 Goodbye Kiss
                                             by Jerry Williams

Your green eyes come alive
framed by your pale face, and long mane of brown hair.
I mumble whispers, and you smile
in your quiet air.

I want your goodbye kiss.

I hold your hands,
and the touch of your lips drives me mad.
I pray the drunken rush of existence
doesnÕt bury me under.

I feel sad in a nameless bittersweet sort of way
when I kissed you.
I choked on words I canÕt utter,
before you go on your daily errands.

The electricity still evokes from my lips.
