Everyone Else...have at it
I should explain the couple: He was an active 90, really rich, with a vasectomy and she was a viable 26 year old trophy wife with a Prenup and a Ph.D in Biology. Her name was Glorious...everyone called her Glori. She was.
I started making believers by allowing them to observe the birth of the planet and jumped forward about 37 million years to the beginning of life and then forward another 60 million to life they could recognise. I explained each step as we went, showing them what life on the planet would be like if I didn't interfere with its development. Eight point nine million years ago the first bipedal ape stood up and walked...and killed the female ape that got curious about him standing. He ate her. It took another One hundred and fifty years before the next female tried walking. she picked up a pretty good sized stick and wailed the tar out of the male that tried attacking her. Well, first thing you know he was sprouting the biggest erection she'd ever seen and the two apes were going at it like there was no tomorrow. Bingo!...S&M!
The apes weren't the only two. That dignified couple were just plain fucking right there in front of me. When she got off half a dozen times, he had a heart attack and died on the spot...grinning. She looked at me with an wild gleam on her eye so I stuffed her out the hatch and let the apes have her.
She LOVED it and so did they...and had the inevitable and immediate result.
"Look," Glory said. "I can't go back there like this. I'm pregnant. I knew the second it happened. I guess I'd better be the first 'evolutionary experiment.'"
"Yes Ma'am."
And that's what we did.
The AI Medtech performed the operation, I tranked a female ape and GPS her...she got the egg and we continued the observational progress. I bumped forward so we could watch the birth.
Sure enough, the female baby was just a tiny bit different. DNA testing showed the mutation, we planted a GPS, called her Annie and went home for our own testing. The Bio Department wanted to see if we had picked up anything dangerous. The Federal Police needed to examine the deceased. "Death by Happy Ending" was the verdict.
After a week we went back, forwarding 13 years. "Annie" was now a fully functioning adult with a slightly larger brain and skills that hadn't been present in her "mother." The Process worked!
Another jump of 13 years and we were present for her death from old age. 26 years is a very long life for an ape, even a modified one. "Annie" had three living children, two males, one female, who carried a lesser form of the genetic modification. It was present but it was easy to see that there needed to be a larger gene pool for "mods" to choose mates.
My class was approved! Yea!!! I had to fund it myself. Boo!!
