Her normally bright and shinny eyes were now puffy and red. Mascara ran from her lashes making her look like she was wearing a raccoon mask. "She's left me" were her first words on seeing me. She threw her arms around me sobbing in the hall unmindful of who may be watching. I turned and stared hard at the nosy woman who lived two doors down who happened to be leaving her apartment and watching her embrace. "Lets go inside and tell me all about it." I said my arm holding her and guiding her inside. Closing the door I said, "What happened Carla?" Arms holding her and stroking her hair gently, I moved us over to the couch and got her seated as she told me of how she and her latest girlfriend finally had a blow out. I never liked her anyway. She always treated Carla like dirt instead of the precious flower that I saw her to be. A part of me was singing praises to god for allowing me to be here at the right time and place. You see Carla and I had been talking about hypnosis and this seemed a good time to see if it really worked. I lifted her head from my shoulder and said softly, "Carla, dear, will you let me hypnotize you and help you feel better. Please?" Her eyes met mine and then nodded faint hope showing through the tortured red-rimmed eyes, "Do you think it will work Karen?" I nodded and she moved her head to my lap resting it there. My fingers stroked back the hair from her face and started the induction. "Just relax and think back to when we went hiking. Remember parking the car in the lot, the trail leading into the woods. Go there now... See the parking lot, the cars driving past it whooshing by back and forth. Turn and see the trail leading into the woods the sound of the wind softly flowing through the trees. See me there beside you, my trusty daypack on my back, and my hand in yours. Capture the feeling now." I waited till I saw her give a small nod her features calming slightly. "We walk into the woods together. Feel my hand in yours as we step onto the trail. Each step taking us deeper into the woods away from reality. Feel the frantic pace of the outside world fade as we walk. Hear the sounds of the cars become softer, the sounds of the wind in the leaves singing softly." She shifts a bit and I paused letting her become more conformable before starting again. "Smell the woods, soft pine scent tantalizing your nose. The sounds of the cars gone and only the occasional sound of a truck going by still reminding you of the real world. So calm and peaceful as we walk further into the woods. Feel the trailhead down hill sloping gently pulling us forward. In a hushed voice I say, "oh look..." and point to one side... "A fawn. See the fawn Carla. Look and see it watching us without concern". Waiting I let her mind watch the fawn a moment or two before continuing. "Time to keep walking down the trail. Feel my hand in yours pulling you forward as the fawn watches us move deeper into the woods. It's so calming, so relaxing here. The sounds of the outside world left behind leaving only the sounds of the wind in the trees. The trail sloping down making walking much easier. Our pace unhurried and relaxing. Feel the relaxation seep through your body with each step. Taking you deeper and deeper into relaxation, so calm, so relaxed." As her breathing slowed I realized that it seemed to be working. "Look up and see the sunlight filtering through the trees almost like a slow motion strobe light as we walk. Feel the shafts of light against your skin and then the coolness of the shade. The trail still descending still pulling us forward deeper and deeper into the woods. The wind blowing through the leaves bringing different scents to you. All of them smelling of nature and peace. Stop and smell them now." She inhaled deeply several times and a faint smile crossed her slacked face. "It's so calming and relaxing here. Deep, deep in the woods... So calm, so peaceful... Feel the peace fill your mind. Feel your mind slow down. Calm and relaxed as we walk. Feel the peace fill you totally. It is nice here, calming, relaxing. Far away from the noises of society and the problems there." Her face slackened totally and I see she is almost there, almost ready. "Let us continue. The path widens as we enter an old growth evergreen forest. See the huge evergreens spread well apart, the pine needles forming a sponge like surface to walk on, the smells of pine strong wiping away all other smells. Nice and calming here... peaceful... relaxing... as we walk deeper into the trees." Her hand slid off her chest and came to rest beside her and I knew she was really under or at least relaxed. "My hand guides you deeper into the evergreens till we stop. Look around and all you see are the great old trees in every direction. Feel their age, their peace fill your mind. Timeless and relaxed... My hand lets go of yours and by the time you turn to me you see I have a blanket spread out against the trunk of one of the trees. Smell the heavy scent of the pine... Hear the soft whispering of the wind in the leaves... Feel the peace here... deep, deep asleep... so calm, so relaxed... your mind relaxed and at peace." I thought for a moment letting her compose the picture in her mind. "Watch me sit down with my back to the trunk of the tree and pat my lap. Come rest here I say to you. Lie down on the blanket and rest your head on my lap... Feel how soft the ground is, feel how the pine needles cushion your body. Calm relaxed at peace... Deeply relaxed... No worries... No thoughts... Just relaxed and at peace. Feel my fingers rubbing your temples softly in slow circles. Calming and relaxing you more and more." I took a chance, moved my fingers to her temples and started rubbing them. To my delight she did not flinch at my touch. "So calm... so relaxed... you like it here... never having to think... never having a care in the world... feeling my loving touch... safe from the world... so calmed and relaxed... Just let go and be at peace... With each breath feel your mind let go more, your mind becoming deeper and more relaxed, more open. Good girl... Do you want to leave?" I had to smile as her head slowly shifted left and right like someone on heavy tranquilizers. "Okay we will stay for a time... Feel the peace, the calming of this place... Hear the soft wind blowing and singing to you... listen and hear it... Think on the chaos outside and how you are isolated from it... safe here.... Keeping you safe and free from harm and worry. Nothing can bother you here. So calm, so relaxed, and at peace. Deep... deep peace... soothing and calming peace. Good girl..." I watched as her face started to cloud up on the mention of the chaos of the outside world but calm back down. "Feeling aroused feels good. You know this... Feel my hand caress your cheek and down to your breast, rolling your nipple with thumb and forefinger. You feel aroused... you feel good... you feel pleasure... Feel my fingers move over your body caressing it loving it... safe and at peace... relaxed..." My hand moved over her body caressing lightly her covered breast as I talk and watch as mews of pleasure came from my touch. "Arousal feels good... Feeling good is the same as feeling aroused... You like feeling good... feeling aroused... good girl... When you do a good job or are complemented of something then you feel good... When you feel good you feel aroused... It is OK to feel aroused, to know you are a good girl... Think on all the assignments you finished. Good girl... Think about all the good things you have done. Good girl... Feel the pleasure sweep over you in waves, each taking the arousal to a higher plane." I watched fascinated as her hips started to rock and she moaned in pleasure. "You love being a good girl... my good girl... at peace here in my grove... Never wanting to go away from it... You always want to come back here... When you hear me say come to the grove you will find it easy to find your way back... to find the peace and calmness that is here. So calm... so relaxed... at peace... deep... deep asleep... mind numb and relaxed... When I say wake up you will wake up and feel calm relaxed and at peace... you will not worry about Shanna... You will see she really did not matter compared to the peace and Joy you have found here in my grove." I watched as her body reacted to each time I said good girl and even at the mention of her ex lover she did not break from the pleasure she was feeling. "Now it is time to leave this place Carla. As I count from 5 to 1 you will wake up still feeling the peace and calmness that my grove gives you. 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... wake up Carla. Wake up." I watched as her eyes fluttered open and looked up at me. Gone was the red and returned was the bright and shinning eyes I had come to love. She made no move to get up from my lap. Stroking her hair with my fingers I said softly, "Feel better now?" To my surprise she took my hand from stroking her hair and brought it to her lips, kissing it softly. "Yes Karen... thank you." She lay there holding her hand to her cheek a moment before sitting up to kiss me deeply. Her tongue thrust past my shocked lips and danced with my tongue like two crazed snakes. Breaking off the kiss I smiled and said softly, "Mmmmm... Good girl."
