This is a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the
"My Friends the Allens" series of stories, action figures,
and collectable trading cards. At least, that was the
original idea. There's also some sex in it, so you kids

Q1. Are the Allen Sisters real?
A1. There are at least two people you could be asking
that question of: the fictional narrator (the "I"
of the stories), and the perhaps equally fictional
author, Mark Aster. We'll ask both of them.
Narrator: <snicker> They certainly are! Flesh and

Author: No. Although they're based on my experience
with women in general, I don't know any woman, and
definitely not two sisters, simultaneously as

Q2. Is your name really Mark Aster?
A2. Again, it depends on who you're asking. The name of the
fictional narrator never seems to come up in the stories.
The name of the equally fictional author is in fact Mark
Aster. If there's anyone else involved, he or she isn't
willing to testify. But enough of this postmodern

A3. Good question: I'll ask... Pat says hers is "face to face,

and I remembered the names with some fondness. So when
my spies found a lovely pair of fictional young Toronto
ladies named Carrie and Heather who seemed perfect for an

("MAKE LOVE SLOWLY"), we signed them up at once.
Q15. Are the stories copyrighted? There aren't any
copyright notices.
A15. Information wants to be free, especially information
that was created for fun. You can do what you like
with the stories; if you do anything interesting, drop
me a note. If you make any money with them, give some
of it to your favorite charity, or go out and find
