"Clear!" he shouted this time, when his thumbs pushed the shock buttons, even though he was the only one there to hear it. THUWHOOM! Looking at the EKG trace he saw it had made a small beep for just a moment before going flat again. He cried aloud for what he had done. He was about to press the shock buttons and end this nightmare when it beeped again and then again a few seconds later. Zach dropped the paddles and fell down onto the gurney and put his head on Bastians chest listening for a heartbeat. "Thub bump, thub bump!" Zach heard as his head laid on Bastian's chest.
