 This is a list of ideas set in Illakia I would be interesting in
roleplaying over IM.

   You have just been recently divorced and are now penniless.  You are
dumped into the Shacks, the poor slum area of Grand City, with only the
clothes you stand up in to your name.  You will have to sell and barter
your way into a job, a slum and avoid missing tax or getting arrested. 
I've done this before and it's really good.  There are a list of rules
which the game will run by and a map I can give you.

   The Undercover Slave.  You are employed by the Secret Police to spy on a
lord who might be plotting against the Emperor - by posing as a slave.  The
mission will have total deniability, so if it all goes wrong no-one will
help you, and you will have to pose as the obedient slave.

   You walk home to find a man waiting for you.  He claims that you owe him
thousands of lira as loan repayment, and he has therefore enslaved you.  He
shows you the evidence - a contract you can't remember signing and the
court order making you sub-human, and all you, your home and all your
belongings the property of this stranger.  He then forces you to serve him
in what was your home.

   You were an orphan.  You were raised by a state orphanage.  There you
were under the wing of a particularly zealous tutor, and you were
indoctrinated into believing that all women are sub-human and should be
slaves, and as soon as you leave the orphanage, you fervently give yourself
up to be a slave.

   You are a slave, working at a gentleman's club, where your status means
the clients have full control over their waitresses.

   The Emperor's Slave.  You are one of the hundreds of slaves the Emperor
owns.

   One I'm borrowing from one of my forum roleplays, but I'm interested in
doing it on IM.  A girl from the upper middle class/lower nobility.  Her
father has enough money to send her to a private academy for girls, which
could ensure her a future as the proper wife of some lord or well off
businessman.  However, she still needs to attend the mandatory classes and
avoid sexual contact with the other girls.  There might also be a brother
academy, with joint events (dances, cheerleaders).

   A newlywed woman.  Her husband is successful enough to own a harem of
slaves.  She has to manage the slaves, but there is also jealousy and
competition (and potentially rival suitors to provide temptation.)

   The idea is that it is set in an Illakian courtroom, probably in Grand
City, and probably over two days or more.  On the first day, you will play
the judge, who will be seeing a number of cases in his court over the day
(say three, with a couple of sentencings).  I will play the female
defendants.  I would imagine that whoever is playing the judge would play
the prosecution.  If a witness is called, we will toss to see who plays
that.  The idea is that we'll simply roleplay courtcases, and whovever is
judge has the pleasure of passing judgement etc.  On the second day, we
would swap, so that I became the judge.  If all goes well, we may even swap
for a third day, where you could bring back any sentencing you may have
deferred from the first day.

   Girl is sentenced to be enslaved.

   Girl is sent to prison.

   A single woman is a devout follower of the Doctrine, believing it fully
and passionatly.  One day she comes across some illegal rebel atheist
literature, and to her horror it makes some sense to her.  Quickly though
her brainwashed mind reverts, and she is horrified at what she thought. 
She resolves to make her life as miserable as possible as pennance, not
allowing herself any pleasure.  Eventually she resolves to sell herself as
a slave to biggest prick she knew.

   For those with more extreme tastes.

   More extreme ones.

   E1.  A girl is sentenced to slavery, and attempts escape.  She is caught
and crucified.

   E2.  A girl is sentenced to death (by any means you like).

   E3.  A girl is accused of heresy.  Found guilty, she is sentenced to
death.  However, the judge orders her to be tortured before her death to
reveal details of her movement, and to confess and accept the true god. 
The method of execution at the end can be decided later.  Maybe the judge
is extra cruel, and refuses to tell the condemned girl how she will be
killed until the day of her death.  This roleplay could start at the moment
of arrest if you wished.

   E5.  A girl is sentenced to life imprisonment at Westbeach Island. 
Here, all prisoners are decreed sub-human, are worked hard and suffer harsh
discipline with no checks on the guards' cruelty and no rights for the
women.

   E6.  A roleplay set in the court of the Emperor.  The Emperor owns
hundreds of slaves, all gifts from lords or government departments, and he
never sells them on.  You could play a slave in the harem, or if you feel
slightly domly, you could play one of the Emperor's wives.  The Emperor is
a sadist with limitless power, and to him the slaves are literally
worthless sub-human toys.
