 # Torean Literature/Art Contest: Tokens of Affection

Whether you're an author or a painter, good with 3-D renders or
photographs, you're invited to submit an original piece of work for the

chance to win 1000 :points:!

   ### Theme: Tokens of Affection

   What does the phrase "*tokens of affection*" conjure up in your mind,
when you think of Torei?

   Do you imagine a collar given as a gift to a lover?  How about the gift
of an attractive slave?  Are you compelled to depict an act of tenderness,
striking a contrast against the cruel planet?  Perhaps the phrase reminds
you of *the oldest profession*?

   Whatever your interpretation, your submission must clearly be set in the
Torei universe.  The work should also be new for the contest.

   ### Categories: Words or Images

   There will be two parallel categories for submissions: **words** and
**images**.

   There will be a **1000 :points: prize** in *each* category, and
participants may submit one entry to each category (for a total of two
submissions).  A talented polymath might walk home with 2000 :points:!

   ### Deadline: 14 February 2013

   The submission deadline is **one minute past midnight GMT** on
Valentine's Day, **14 February 2013**.  Voting will then open later that
day.
