It's finished! Allison and the Primdales, Part 1 (of 4) is now up on the website for you to download. You can download the complete part as a single file (Warning: 2 MB), or you can download each of the chapters 1 through 30 individually. While the first part definitely has its moments, things really start to heat up in the second. Just to let you know, Part 1 is not a complete story in and of itself, so don't download it expecting a resolution to anything yet. It only begins the story continued in the other 3 parts, which are not yet finished.
Part 1 ends on a note of melancholy, with Lissa leaving home to go off to college. If you're sad about her leaving, don't worry. She may not be living at home any more, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop writing about her. Besides, it gives me a chance to introduce a whole new set of characters, her roommates in particular. One of her roommates, in fact, is my favorite character in the whole story. She even beats out Allison, which really says a lot. You'll know who I mean as soon as I introduce her. And there's always Christmas vacation and the next summer for Lissa to visit, after all.
With the conclusion of Part 1, I'm going to take a break from posting for a couple of weeks. I haven't been able to keep up the pace of writing that I had intended, so I need to back off from uploading while I take some time to catch up. Don't worry; this isn't an ominous foreshadowing of doom or anything. I've already gone through several writer's blocks on this story and pushed through them, so unless somehow my multiple backups all get destroyed or I get hit by a bus or an asteroid crashes into the earth and wipes out all life as we know it or the sun goes supernova and incinerates the entire solar system*, I'm going to finish this story. In the mean time, I'm also finishing up a short story that I'll post in about a week just to prove that I'm still here.
*Yes, I know the sun won't go supernova, but it will turn into a red giant and swallow the inner planets. Don't worry; Allison and the Primdales should be finished long before that happens.
