But that's exactly the feeling everyone on Earth has right now. It's common knowledge that the Sun has been sliding prematurely towards the galactic core, and the super-massive black hole therein, but until now no-one really knew how fast. It turns out that it'll suck us in within the current generation's lifetime. So society has crumbled. Knowing that they'll never amount to anything, people have resorted to their base instincts. No-one builds anything, no-one produces anything - so we'll all die out before the black hole has a chance to do it for us. And once we're gone? The Earth, and all record of human existance, will spiral silently on through space, following its parent star to its early doom. The End.
