Author: Bookworm Bob Title: Joanna and the Bookstore Part: Part 0 - Author's Updates Summary: This is just a file where I can replay information to my readers on the status of the Joanna series, as well as anything else I feel like throwing in here! Keywords: NoSex, Story Updates This series of stories is a work of fan fiction based on the original story "Joanna at the Adult Bookstore" by Janus (/~Janus/). If you like this, please go back and read the story that inspired me, and check out some of Janus' other work I'm sure you will enjoy as well. All characters in this story are fictitious, and any similarity to persons living or dead is purely coincidental. It is work of fiction or fantasy, and is intended for ADULTS ONLY. It may contain depictions of sexual activity involving minors. If you are not of a legal age as defined by your government or locality to view such material or if such material does not appeal to you, do not read further, and do not save this story. I neither encourage nor condone the involvement of children in sexual oriented acts with adults. UPDATES: 23-Dec-2016 I probably should have done this a while ago. A little history on my writing of my Joanna fan-fiction... I started posting my Joanna series back in April of this year. These were stories that I had originally written about 9 or so years ago. Back then, I was bored at work. Things were slow, and I was (still am) good! I could complete most of my work way before lunch. So in the slow times that followed, I would write "Joanna" stuff. But I dare NOT use company hardware. I really like my job and wasn't going to lose it over something like writing erotica using their machines. So instead, I used the word processor on my Compaq iPaq PDA. For those not familiar, at that time, it was basically a smartphone, but without the phone. And for those that have read the series I have published to date - YES, all those chapters were written basically on a smartphone, typing with a tiny little stylus. So I made the decision this spring to publish my work on ASSTR.org, and to share it with other like-minded adults. And the response, feedback, and encouragement I received from the readers has been great! Thank you all! So I'm plowing through my files, doing editing, correcting spelling, and fixing the tense (man, I was all over the place), when I realize that the contents of Chapter 28 were MISSING! I think this was the result of a crashed Compact Flash memory card I used to store my files on my iPaq. The original chapter is now lost to digital ether. Unfortunately this missing chapter really took the wind out of my sail. That, along with the onset of summertime, pulled me away from Joanna and her adventures. And every time I wanted to come back to it, I was either too busy with summer (and eventually fall) stuff, or just not in the mood to write - to rebuild chapter 28. So since June, the story has been stuck at chapter 27. UNTIL TODAY! I finally just decided that the story had to move ahead. Between fans emailing me and asking for more, and still having more of the girl's story to tell, I decided to just put a placeholder file in place of chapter 28, and publish Chapter 29! Hopefully in the coming days and weeks or so, while I'm on holiday, I will be able to get the next few chapters cleaned up and submitted for your enjoyment! I'm not sure when I will get to reproducing chapter 28 (I know the story - I just have to put it into words again), but I will get back to it eventually. Thanks again to all the fans that have enjoyed my works so far, and have written to me to tell me this. And also thanks to Joanna's creator, Janus. She's still producing new, original works, so please visit her page (/~Janus/).
